Club Valena Apartments Reviews

Having just read some reviews of these apartments I had to write this to give others an accurate description of these apartments. They are modern clean well kept apartments I am very fussy about cleanliness and never had one complaint about these apts. They are in fact like little flats with sitting room,kitchen,bedroom and bathroom with over bath shower with plenty of hot water I was there for two weeks and never had any worms in the bath or any insects at all.

The swimming pool deepens gradually with the bottom sloping slowly when you get into any pool the first time you tend to toe test the depth to make sure that you have a good footing any one who gets in and dose'nt check gets exactly what they desereve.Again the pool area was kept very clean as an early riser I used to watch the pool man clean it and it was kept that way by the users who saw that it was well kept. The pool bar well what can i say but great John and his family kept it busy with entertainment and weekly bbq's the food was good and the atmosphere freindly. Matagorda is a quiet resort with plenty to do if you want night life porta del carmen is only a short drive awayor a stroll along the promenade. check out the sports bar the guy who runs it is really great even if he is a west ham supporter.Nice place with seating outside pool tables and of course flat screen tv's so you can watch all the action you've come away to miss but the other half wants to see you can have a quiet drink and walk around the shops which are all situated in a plaza near the resteruants.food is reasonable barties is a must food great and welcome even better. All in all great destination it was our first time with first chioce but the flight and rep were brilliant would recomend them to freinds.

Just came back from Club Valena if u r thinking of booking think again. The apartments r very basic but with big balconies.In the kitchen there is a kettle, fridge, toaster and 2 rings 2 cook on thats all. Beds comfortable,as 4 the bathroom if u r on ground floor there is no ventilation and plenty of either worms or maggots in bath which i dont know where they came from as i had the plug in all the time 2 stop cockroachs coming up drains.
The pool area is dirty, the pools have chipped paint on bottom, the main pool gets deep very quickly if a child is not a good swimmer they need armbnds.

The food from the pool bar is very good[under separte managment a big hello 2 jose,andy,bob and zoe who made r holiday the best staff in any complex i ever stayed in]
In r opinion the place should b gutted and brought into the 21st centuary only for the staff this would av been a holiday from hell.

3rd time to island, and matagorda just the tops.

2 weeks of nothing but relaxation from the moment we arrived. 2 bed apartment more than adequate for my troupe of 6. pool area great very clean and tidy, don't aim for a swim before 9:30 am though. pool bar more than capable and hotel staff could not do enough for you.. ate out every night as really great value.Walk down to beach only 10 mins to swim in mill pond of a sea, nice and shallow for kids and even better when the tide goes out. Beach Showers available to wash the sand of you should you want to. Must give Barties bar a look and say hello to john, cracking guy.Arcade for the kids with internet points for chatting etc. Stacks of restaurants/bars to eat and drink in, entertainment normally stops at 1am, music that is. carry on drinking if you want. Nice walk to carmen along prom whenever you like, cabs are cheap if you want them.

So much to see and do or just sit back and relax and watch the world go by. whatever presses your buttons lanzarote has got it, come and see for yourself.

Just come back from Lanzarote stayed at the Club Valena(Matagorda) for a week. What can I say the apartments where Basic which is all you need on holiday. It has everything you will need supplied.

The apartments where cleaned all the time and bedding changed. SPOTLESSLY CLEAN. I''m very fussy as I have a young baby!!!. The staff where absolutely great, very friendly and helpful Thanks. The pools where cleaned every day and where clean and safe to use, and not too cold either. The surrounding area was so beautiful. If you want to go out for a meal in Matagorda Square there is plenty of lovely restraunts(try the Sirrocco, Matagorda Park) and shops, supermarkets (spar!!!).

I will definitely go back and stay at Club Valena, had a fab holiday, very hot weather . ENJOY!!!!!!!

We arrived at club valeda and thought there were nothing there because it was so quiet but how wrong we were,we thought it was the best part of the island we had before been to lanzarote but stayed further along in the old town.
The appartment was very nice quite big balcony we were in room 34 which had the sun about 1oclock it proved handy if the kids arround the pool area were getting on your nerves or you need some shade time you could just pop in doors,the staff were very nice rooms very clean.

the maids came in twice in the week we were there never had any sheets changed in that week which i thought it would have been better if they had,there was a good fridge,hair dryer,very good shower all nice and clean.The only thing that was missing was a iron you could not even hire one there is a laundry room but no iron.

The nearest shop was a spar about 10mins away everything you want is there,if you go the other way towards the air port it is a nice walk to see the planes fly over your head,if you have kids this would be wonderful for them to be up so close to the planes.If you walk right to the end of the walk way there are some little bars very nice.
You can walk in to peurto del carmen but its really cheap to get a taxi every where because they are so cheap,they are metered so you dont have to ask how much before you go any where.

We went on three trips the first was the rancho texas night out what good fun there is a show of the cowboys with rope tricks,if you take kids this is a must every one dresses up as cowboys, girls or Indans there were a bucking bull but its only for the adults,food was great plenty of it and drink as much as you want there loyal beer is realy strong so "; becareful";they also learn you line dancing which if you have never done it its great fun all in all a great night out worth the money.

The second trip was a tour on a yellow submarine it was a rip off not worth the money,they take you by coach to the marina where you board the sub they take you down 30meters which is not much stop on the bottom of the sea to show you the fish they promise to show you sting rays,sharks,fish of all colours what crap the commentator did not speak good english so it was hard to follow what he was saying they even sunk a boat them selves to make it more exciting for you which it was not.

the third was another night out the nicest of all it was called the moonlight speakeasy where every one dressed up in the 1920s to 30s tarts and gangsters.meal was nice but the show was the best so many dress changes 2 singers man and woman thay took every one off you could think of from the fiftys to the lastest songs george michael,frankie lane,will young just to name a few.then at the end of the night they finished off with the river dance which was super what a good night worth the money.

It does not matter what you do on this island you will enjoy your self.

If you have a meal in peurto del carmen have ameal at ";the royal"; fab steaks ribs big fish lovely somethink for every one staff nice.but if you stay in matagorda try the chinese place fab meal plus a free bottle of wine to take or drink.
