The bungalow was clean and the maid visited almost every day. There were lso some nice touches like complementary toiletaries and matresses for the sunbeds in the bungalow.
The pool area was clean and well funished, the english staff at the pool bar were very friendly. If you have a hangover try a wendys Whopper breakfast, it will either kill you or cure you.
Matagorda was qiute quiet when we were there (easter). The commercial centre was rarely busy in fact sometimes it was like a ghost town. Worth trying is the Balti House on the first floor, excellent food, frendly staff just the job. Other than that the eateries in the commercial centre are much of a muchness. better to spend £3 on a taxi and head to Puerto del Carmen old town, try some of the restauants around the harbour, have a beer, watch the old fellas play boule (my god they take it serious).
Anything else about matagorda, no it much as you would expect, some good eateries along the extensive promenade some bad it all depends on your own taste and budget. One last thing the promenade has been extended out around the airport the beach here is naturist. You wouldn't believe the number of rubberneckers go for a daily 'stroll' along the boardwalk!
Have fun.
