Overall Resort Rating:

A wonderful fast-developing resort that's retained it's charm. A fabulous prom, great beaches, lovely weather and a local Spanish feel. We love Playa Blanca.

"pleasant family friendly resort"

Overall Resort Rating:

A pleasant resort which seems to be growing very quicky. Not too busy and certainly not set to appeal to the 18-30 crowd. Wasn't so keen on the marina as the restuants were either very tacky or expensive. If you are after a trip to a marina try Puerto Calera-much nicer.

"Good family resort"

I love this resort, lots of bars (lovely beach bars) shops etc... I'm a big beach fan so I would recommend a car to get to the out of town beaches. Very expensive for drinks etc...this year (the euro is going nowhere). Not a resort for groups of young people but a lovely resort for families/couples

"More upmarket than other resorts in Lanz"

Overall Resort Rating:

Playa Blanca was more upmarket than the other resorts in Lanzarote from past experiences. We found some lovely restaurants and beaches although eating out could be quite costly if choosing restaurants on the main coastal strip. A trip to the Marina Rubicon is well worth a look as is the small market held there mid week and Saturdays. Timanfaya Volcano is an excellent excursion and Texas Rancho during the day is great for kids. In summary, Playa Blanca is well worth a visit.

Great definately go back. They have really good shop and we found Charlies scent shop the cheapest if you suddenly run out of sun cream and scents. Ladies right down the bottom of the town take a trip to Mango for ladies much cheaper than at home and lovely clothes plenty of benches outside for your other halves to sit on. We found eating out was very reasonable too. The walk back along the promande to our hotel was lovely but we stopped off at Rubicon and got a taxi back which was only 2.50 euros the taxi where very cheap.

"great playa blanca"

a great resort, with nice bars and restaurants. only saw 1 british bar which is great because we didn't visit playa blanca, to be surrounded by british pubs. the beach at the playa flamingo does not have as much sand as many of the hotel companies picture's show, but there was enough to be enjoyable but can imagine in high season it is quite crowded. you also have pay for the sunbeds.

Overall Resort Rating:

Playa Blanca is a relatively quite resort with a couple of small beaches which I would imagine get very crowded when it is high season. The harbour area is lovely and there are some really nice restaurant's situated along the front.
If you are looking for lively nightlife then this is not the place to go and it is definately more suitable for families and older couples.
