This is an excellent hotel, we visit Lanzarote annually and always go back here. The food really is first class, there is lots of choice and they have local fish dishes and the like along with all the stuff for us Brits. The breakfast is excellent too. Rooms are really niced, well furnished and if you pay full wack like us you get a brilliant view. Entertainment is also good. Quite expensive, but excellent place.

I was lucky to stay at this hotel 1 night for a work trip. I had a whole tour of the place, and everything is truly beautiful. The reception area is built in a typical Canaria style, with a Volcano style as the central focal point. It very grand inside reminding me of a church or cathedral. The reception staff meet you in typical traditional Canarian dress and are very pleasant and efficient. There is a porter to transfer your bags to your rooms, and a nice cold glass of fresh juice on arrival.

The whole complex is built like a typical Canarian Village. Very peaceful as there are a number of pools, and it felt very relaxed, perfect for a holiday in the sun.

There is a Servicio Real area, which is a Royal upgrade. If you choose this area, you have your own private reception, and lounge area, own restaurant and bar, own swim up bar pool with sun loungers and big double beds in the sun.

I stayed in a standard double with views overlooking the main pool and marina. The view was lovely, I could see the Marina Rubicon and the sea, and most of the complex, was lovely to watch the sun set.

My room was tastefully decorated, with a huge double bed, lounge area with tea and coffee facilities, TV, minibar, slippers and dressing gowns. The bathroom was also big with 2 sinks, big bath and shower.

The Canaries typically attracts huge cockroaches - one of my big hates, but I did not spot one in the entire complex.

I ate in the main buffet restaurant for dinner and breakfast. Breakfast was to die for. Lots of options, the restaurant wasnt busy as I was quite early, but you can eat in the open glass area over looking the pool and the marina in the distance.

Lots of juices, some freshly squeezed, champagne, smoked salmon, oysters!!! All kinds of cakes, breads, cheeses, meats, lovely chopped up fruit. Eggs, Bacon, everything you can think of, and the best scrambled egg i have ever tasted, mixed with chopped up ham! Gorgeous!

Dinner again was very grand, lovely range of starters which you dont get at most places, soup, garlic mushrooms, pate and toast, salad, dips. Whole fish, pasta, potatos. Then a fresh meat counter where you could pick your own while the chef cooked it. I had a lovely piece of steak with mushroom sauce. Was very nice to sit and watch the view over dinner. I am not a fan of buffet restaurants, I find the situation not very relaxing and prefer a sit down restaurant, but this was lovely. I didnt feel like I was in a canteen, and they have the ambience just right. I would not hesitate in going back.

Also wonderfully placed right on the marina for the marina restuarants and bars, and you can walk all along playa blancas promenade.
