Hotel San Antonio Reviews

Firstly dont go if you dont like a windy resort. It can be a blessing but when the council erect permanent wind breaks around the beach chairs you know it is a problem all year round.

As regards the hotel it was almost faultless. Very friendly staff, excellent food - to suite everyone-very clean.Where I would comment is the air conditioning is centrally controlled and is only operated from 12 mid day to 12 midnight. A big concern of ours was also its location. As the brochure said it was certainly on the beach but if like us, it is chosen because you think you have direct access to the sea right outsibe the door, think again as the beach in that area is surrounded by a rocky headland and the only access is if you walk about 5 minutes along the beach. An important fact if you have difficulty in walking or indeed like us, didnt relish the extra walk when we thought we were right on the beach.There are plenty of beds and parasols to hire - 6 Euros for the day - 2 beds and a parasol. Again most are 5 mins walk away - about 12 are closer.

The grounds of the hotel etc if you dont want the beach, caters for everyone it is landscaped into a number of 'rooms' each with its own pool and plenty of beds.With almost 2 miles of shops etc from your doorstep to the old part there is plenty to see and do with at least 40 percent of restaurants of all kinds. Be prepared to barter in the perfume shops especially and be careful about unsupervised belongings on the beach.
