We always check this site before booking, but were a bit surprised when we arrived at the hotel as the reports were good, one word, GERMANS, everyone was german, met about 3 other families from the UK.
ROOMS. okay, we were in 220 ground floor, clean and roomy, bathroom(complete with ants) a shower and hair dryer(but you need asbestos hands to hold it) kitchen with fridge and 2ring cooker, air con, safe(10 euro week + 5 euro deposit) tv but only sky news and CNN in english, big patio, cleaned daily except fridays, beds quite comfy and they make them for you.
FOOD. mainly aimed at the Germans, plenty of salad, fruit, meat, fish, continental breakfast. drinks are free with your evening meal(wine, beer, soft drinks) it was'nt bad, all you can eat, and you can live on it.
ENTERTAINMENT and BAR. it was all German, daytime and evening so we did'nt bother.
POOL. warm and cleaned everyday, lots of sunbeds but do go quickly after breakfast(Germans), no lifeguard.
GYM and FITNESS CENTER. didnt even find it, but then i wasnt looking, heard it was okay from another brit who had used it, and they have a tennis court.
STAFF. pleasent enough, helpful as far as they could be.
RESORT. good half hour walk to the center of town, don't bother taxis are cheap as chips even at night, 10min walk away are enough bars and resturants to enjoy yourself, but its the same old canary islands food and entertainment, been to all of them and we could have been anywhere.
BEACH. 5 min walk, nice and sandy but the sea is icy cold as its the atlantic, unless you're very brave of course.
AIRPORT. good airport this one, better than some, shops, food(burgerking, pizza hut, upper crust and pretty cheap too) also lots of seating even during the daytime and 2 smoking area's inside the departure lounge unlike some ive been to.
TAXI FARE. about 10 euro's + tip from the airport, and have to be out of your room by 12 on your last day.
ENJOY!

Me & my boyfriend have just got back from a weeks holiday at lanzarote village. After reading the reviwes, i was dreading this hill, Its nothing!! The beach was literally the other side of the road, You could get sun beds for 4 Euro each & stay till 5pm.The beach was very clean. Beware of the shops located just outside the hotel as they charge alot more than the other shops further up the street we wasnt aware of this at first, but the breakfasts was just short of 5 euro where as 5-10 Mins walk you could get a full english for 2.10Euro. We also got a beach towel from the shop close by & was charged 23Euro, towels futher down the strip ranged from 5 euro + The Hotel its self was lovely & clean, They put nightly entertainment on, whilst we was there a few to mention, a singer, bingo, a magican, the all inclv drinks included tequilla sunrises, gin, vodka etc they were really big measures. The wine was quite strong too at 13.5%. We did Eat out alot & we ate at the same reasturant 5 times, i cant remember the name of the reasturant, sorry if you look for a sign saying pizza eat in or take away,Its a white sign. The reasturant was open but just up a few steps, next to it was a perfume shop.If you get to the first Lanis bar ( we ate at Lannis 1 night & was really disapointed the food was bland & overpriced)you have gone to far,it was busy everytime we ate there & we had to wait a few times, you can always book though - def recommend that reasturant, they had a sign on the wall saying best italian too, so its not just our opinion!!! The food at the Hotel was nice, Breakfast you could have a full breakie, there would be scrammbled eggs, fried eggs, bacon, beans, mini hot dog sauages, cereals, yougurts, cheese, ham tomatos, bread, toast & jams etc..Couldnt fault the Breakfast at all. Dinners consisted of lots of salad, spag bol, again bread cheese & ham & various hot dishes that was very nice.Same again for the main meals, salad & hot dishes. The waiters were very helpful & would come over & ask you what you wanted to drink, then bring it over. There are lots of perfume shops, we found charlies was the best. The perfumes are really cheap, & you get discount of the prices on the box. There is a mac d`s there about 20-25Min walk away, if you leave the apartments & walk down to the main strip, you`ll come to a telephone box with a sign for mac Ds drive thru, the sign says turn right...Well dont we followed that sign & couldnt find it. If you keep walking past that sign & follow the main strip its only 15 Mins from there. Also Mac Ds dont do Breakfasts, which my boyfriend was most unhappy about!! all in all we had a brilliant holiday & are thinking about going next xmas.

My boyfriend and I stayed with both of our mum's at the Lanzarote Village Hotel for a week at the beginning of July.
We found the hotel exceptionally clean. As we were on a half board basis we were able to take advantage of breakfast and dinner. What impressed us most was the variation of food available at dinner during our week long stay. The food was of a good standard for a 3 star hotel and we only ate out twice.
The pool area was quiet, as was the resort. However Puerto Del Carmen isn't too far away, we found the taxi's very reasonable - to walk to the centre of where everything happens takes around 20-25 minutes walking.
Overall I think that the location of the Lanzarote Village is excellent for families or couples who want peace and relaxation, but who don't want to be too far from the nightlife if they choose to have it!

We have just returned from 10 days at the Lanzarote Village, accommodation was very good, maid service daily, vast amounts of bacon/eggs/cheese/bread for breakfast but no fruit or anything healthy if you're that way inclined! Resort VERY commercialised, lots of english pubs and pie and chips, do not expect anything slighly spanish. We were disappointed with the resort, restaurants honestly all had the same menu. Try the old harbour on the other side of Puerto del Carmen, there are a few Tapas Bars and lots of restaurants in a much nicer setting.
We found some really nice secluded beaches down at Papagayo, definatley recommend it down there if you are a beach lover. Also note that all of the beaches along here have nudists as well as non nudists!!
Playa Blanca is a lovely town with a harbour and if I went back to Lanzarote I would stay here instead.
It all depends on what you want from a holiday but if you are looking for typicaly spanish surroundings/food etc then dont go to Puerto del Carmen OR Playa de los Pocillos as they actually both run into each other.
Happy Holidays!!

A great place for a holiday.
The accommodation was excellent, Very clean and quiet. The swimming pool area was kept clean adn was safe for young and old alike. A good mix of ages so company for all ages. My teenagers found plenty of friends and they stayed around the complex at night. We had two studios so the boys had one while we had the comfort of our own space. It was easy to reach all the facilities. Along with the usual trips we took a taxi to see Ceaser Manrique's home and this was definatly worth he journey.
Overall sonewhere we would recommend, the only sour note being that on several occasions we were given the wrong change and this seemed to be a common occurance so check your change carefully, both inside and outside the complex.
