This hotel was excellent in all respects. The food was of the highest quality and excellent choice. Cleanliness was of the highest order both in the rooms and the hotel public areas. The staff were most helpful and always willing to put them selves out to make your holiday most enjoyable.

Been going to Los Jameos for over fifteen years now and it continues to be the best four star hotel I have stayed in - better than some so called five stars. All inclusive excellent value and staff could not be friendlier.

Superb hotel with great staff, excellent food, very clean and well organised. Entertainment was a little dated but I think this was due to the entertainment manager catering for his own tastes rather than the hotel clientele, the acts were very professional. Although there were quite a few children there and there was a kids club I believe it is probably more suited to couples.

This was a lovely, well appointed hotel, which was run extremely efficiently. However, as this was the first time that I had been all inclusive I was not prepared for the fact that many people spend quite a bit of time drinking with the subsequent loudness/loutishness particularly at night-time. Although there was a dress code, especially for dinner, this was not always adhered to. I personally, after spending so much money, did not want to see men downing pints of beer in just a pair shorts, hardly the ambience I was expecting! Unfortunetely our room was situated directly across from the amusement arcade and Belingo bar which as you can imagine was delightful, not!! This holiday was not worth the amount of money spent on it and I personally would not give it four stars, which is a shame because the staff are always professional and hard working.I just feel that this lovely hotel is let down by a small but consistent section of people attracted to an all inclusive tariff purely for the amount of alcohol they can down all day long.

"Relax and enjoy Los Jameos Playa"

An excellent hotel in every way. The choice of food was remarkable and excellent quality. The grounds covered a large area but the plants, trees, cacti were kept in superb condition with lovely fresh water lily pools with a waterfall as well as the swimming pool and the safe child friendly pools. This hotel also had a self service laundry room with washer, tumbler dryer and iron which was very handy -no more travel irons! The hotel did everything on a grand scale and have thought of everything for children as well as parents. The whole place was very peaceful and relaxing. I would definately stay there again. All the staff were very helpful nothing was too much trouble.

This hotel is suitable for anyone whether they are on their own, with young children, teenagers or for mature adults. The staff are so friendly and courteous, and the food is excellent with loads of choices. The rooms are clean and bright and the grounds are clean and immaculate. There are always managers around if you have any queries and I would have no hesitation in recommending this wonderful hotel to anyone. I went to this hotel on my own and I felt very comfortable while there thanks to the brilliant staff.

This hotel is exactly as shown in it's pictures on the website. The rooms are large and confortable. The food choice is excellent although, if you do not eat meat, it is sometimes frustrating to see it chopped up in a lot of the salad options. The weather was not good when we were there, very windy, so it was strange to step out of your room into a "wind tunnel". This was because some parts of the corridors were open to the fresh air as there were indoor planting area which contained trees. All inclusive option was well worth the money. The staff were extremely helpful, friendly and efficient.

"Best hotel in Lanzarote"

The best hotel i have ever stayed at in Europe. Wouldn't consider any other hotel. The food is absolutely gorgeous and such a variety. The staff are helpful, kind and pleasant. The cleanliness is excellent. Never ever looks dirty. The rooms are so comfortable and well kept. They are a little dated in decor but this doesn't bother me all that much. The balcony is of excellent size, it is lovely to sit in the evening outside having a long cool drink before the evening meal. The location of this hotel is fantastic. You are only a short distance from the airport. So close that you could walk there via the promenade down the side of the hotel. You are in a quiet location yet close to the shops, restaurants and bars if you want it. This hotel is fantastic and i would recommend it to all ages. There is something for everyone.

When we arrived we were shown to our room. Modern, tastefully decorated and very clean. A chilled bottle of Sparkling Wine, fruit and chocolates were a pleasant surprise. Unfortunately we had no view from this ground floor balcony, only a palm tree and a wall to look out on. Claustrophobic! The bed was a small double, not what we had requested. The Manager was unable to help us to move to the twin room we were expecting! Happily the following morning after a somewhat uncomfortable nights sleep Sian, our First Choice Holiday representative was able to use her charming smile to persuade the Los Jameos Manager to move us to a spacious and pleasantly appoint room on the first floor with an open vista and lots of sunshine. The rest of our seven day stay was wonderful. Lots to see. Good walking, the coastal paths are excellent, right along the beaches. The food was excellent as was the service. Restaurant staff were attentive, happy and motivated to keep the whole eating experience delightful and uncluttered. We would certainly return to the Los Jameos Hotel but I would want a guarantee that the room would have a king size bed and an open sunny aspect from the balcony.

"The best hotel in Play De Los Pocillos"

Overall Hotel Rating:

My husband, son and i stayed at this hotel for the first time in October 2007. Our first impressions on walking in to the hotel reception area was wow. It was beautiful. The reception staff on arrival were very welcoming and quickly checked us in. When we entered our room we were very pleased. It was carpeted which we find very cosy. Don't really like tiled floors, although they are meant to be easy to clean and more hygienic. The carpet in our room was spotless, you could tell that it had been recently cleaned. The balcony was huge and the sea view was beautiful.

The food was beautiful. A great choice also. There is something for everyone. The desserts are a work of art. So good that you don't want to cut into the cakes!

The evening entertainment is superb. The ABBA tribute act is great. The hotel has a lovely atmosphere.

The location is great as you are in a quieter part of Lanzarote so you get a good nights sleep. If you want the entertainment to be livelier then you can always walk along the sea front into Puerto Del Carmen. The hotel is only 10-15 mins in a taxi.

We enjoyed ourselves so much that we are going back in June 2012. Can't wait!

Stayed here this month with 2 small children on the All Inclusive package. A fantastic selection of food with chefs cooking to order on the grill 3 fish and 3 meats at lunch and dinner. Huge range of other dishes including child friendly and themed dinners. Branded drinks offered in the AI drinks offer which proved great value. Staff were excellent and coped with demanding parents. Entertainment for children and teenagers was popular. 15 minutes bus ride from the airport, clean rooms with Sky News and SSports 1 and Family Movies channels. Beach 5 minutes walk. Would visit again and would recommend to families with kids/teenagers or couples.

"Special Place in the sun!"

Overall Hotel Rating:

My husband and I arrived back in UK on 19th June 2011 after a week’s all inclusive stay at Los Jameos Playa Hotel – and we can say without doubt that this was our DREAM HOLIDAY in the sun – many thanks to all the management, staff and a big thanks to the cleaners and waiters who ensured our stay was enhanced by spotlessly clean rooms, daily change of towels with a restaurant and pool bar service that was second to none. We had to pinch ourselves because Los Jameos Playa Hotel provides not only a wide variety of superb quality food but to a standard that would win the approval of both food icons Gordon Ramsay and Jamie Oliver. Compliments to the Chefs, SPOT ON! We booked this hotel having taken note of other reviews and boy were they right. If you want a holiday hotel where on arrival you step into a three storied reception area that resembles a luxurious barn conversion to be then handed a glass of champagne as the porter immediately whisks away your luggage to a spotlessly clean airy room with a fully equipped bathroom then this is the place for you. Believe it, what you see in the brochures and on the Los Jameos Playa website is exactly what you get! The whole complex is absolutely stunning. Boasting two kiddie’s pools and two adult pools each equipped with their own pool bars every sun worshipper is guaranteed food and drink on tap till 8pm without hardly moving a muscle. Had enough of the sun? Then languish in the cool shaded restaurant on the terrace to eat and drink your way through a huge daily buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner at tables draped in crisp white linen. This hotel has those extra little touches like casters on the kiddie high chairs so mum, dad or grandparents can wheel the little one’s round each buffet area (three in all) to choose their meals together. This ensures that mealtimes at this hotel for young families are fun. We’re a young at heart mature couple and we didn’t just relax we chillaxed in a secluded grassed area that became known as our garden of eden. Forgot your hairdryer or towels for the beach or sunbed? No worries this hotel provides the hairdryer and towels for free. Kids dirty their clothes? No worries, you can use for free a utility room equipped with washer, dryer, iron and ironing board. We could write a book about the up side of this hotel. The location is superb, right opposite the long sandy beach of Los Poscillos on the outskirts of Puerto del Carmen. If you want a relaxed, fun pampered holiday in beautiful surroundings then we recommend this hotel to young and old alike. Well done Los Jameos Playa staff, you run a quality hotel and we’ll be back soon with the rest of our family in tow.

"Wonderful holiday, with out 18 month old"

Overall Hotel Rating:

We had a fabulous holiday at Los Jameos, it was our first holiday with our 18 month old son, and we were met by extremely friendly staff, a glass of bubbly and help with our luggage. The hotel was clean and very impressive on first impressions and continued that way, We had a lovely room (we had a garden / pool view room) with a safe and clean balcony which is essential with a little one, and the pools and areas are brilliant - the pools were a bit chilly (but it was early in the season iguess) but the infant pool was lovely and warm and our baby loved it! We were there the week before half term so the hotel was busy but not packed! so we had no problems with loungers or waiting in restuarant etc. My only complaint is that as an vegetarian the all inclusive was MUCH better that alot of places but the choice is limited and the other guests clearly do not have any consideration and use the same salad tongs for meat and cheese and i often found bits of ham in my lettuce etc not ideal! and a warning DO not assume vegetables are suitable ofr vegetarians, as i discovered the roasted vegetables we roasted under the Meat spits! and there was no warning !!! i only happened to disover this by chance! this is my only issue on what would otherwise have had an excellant rating.
