This was our fist time to Lanzarote and we will definately return next year.
Hopefully we will be able to get an apartment in Caleton Blanco ( Block B )
The level of housekeeping excellent.
Daily cleaning.
very large 2 bed apts, with huge balcony.
the complex is situated literally 2 minutes walk to the large playa Grande beach. Restaurants, pubs, shops all within 2 minute walk.
The great thing about not having a kids club and pool bar is that the holiday can be dictacted at your pace.
Full compliments to Hose at Reception. He is a gentleman and very helpful but not overimposing.
We rented a car for 3 days - best move!
The organised tours charge a small fortune.
You can rent an opel astra for 25 Euro per day. Entrance to The caves, timafaya Etc only 8 Euro per adult and they do not charge for kids. Do not rush into signing up for your holidays Reps excursions.
Also having a car gives you the freedom to stop and eat where and when you want.
Lanzarote is very child friendly.
I would not be pushed about going back to Agua Park. It is a bit like the old pictures of Butlins. They could also do with a good paint job. The Rancho Texas is also nothing spectacular.

this was our first visit to these apartments and we will not be back. The standard of our accomodation was very good (apart from a television that did'nt get any channels and a broken shower door)but the noise outside the apartments was terrible. We were unlucky to have a large family from Ireland staying in a number of apartments and they would come back at all times during the early hours of the morning shouting, arguing and slaming doors,They also took over the pool area during the day and had no consideration for others.

Maybe we just got unlucky with our choice of week but the noise did spoil our holiday and I would not recomend these apartments to families who do not want to go out getting drunk every night.

Execellent accomadation - yes the steps are a bit somedays but it's worth it for the veiw and the peace - hardly any road noise or bars, etc.

Place to spend the day - Café La Ola about half way along the main strip on the coast side of the road. Very classy and posh! Cheap drinks and a great view!!

Best place to eat by far Lani's Grill. Turn right out of apts about 500 yds on the left. Also worth finding the bars in the old town right on the coast, walk down to the habour in the old town then turn left and walk along the bars past Heiniken Heaven.

Great place for a few days sun and rest - can get a bit expensive sometimes - best for value Pizza at the bar under the aprts.

These apartments were well situated and surprisingly very spacous and well kitted out with mod cons but got sick of watching only english channel of cnn. The gardens were very well kept and apartments, pool area etc kept very clean im sure the cleaners came every day. There were the dreaded stairs to get up but considering we were there for 2 weeks wew coped quite well however my mum did struggle towards the end of our holiday. There was no noise from the streets considering we were right in the middle of the action was good.

The resort itself was fantastic and catered for all tastes and ages there are pubs clubs and shops to keep most people happy teguise market is a must. In the second week we tryed a place called roma for breakfasts which i thought were the best there, evening we went to sunset beach what can i say this place was great kids welcomed great food, Danny, Jamie, Karen, Peter, Linzi, Penny were brill from the service the food but most of all my boys enjoyed the music quiz and Dannys killer pool is a must, as the world cup had started on our second week my 2 eldest boys practically lived in this place which was not a problem at all, we did try palms but the meal took forever the service wasnt much cop and to boot the waitress tried to charge us for drinks we did not get. We all enjoyed the rancho parque and the guinte tropical bird park the kids enjoyed the water stuff i cant comment on the submarine or anything like that coz i dont like it i dont do it.

The only fault i could find on this holiday was the my tours rep we seen her maybe three times didnt get much help for her at all. We are returning to this beautiful island again this year or early next but are renting a villa, if i wasnt i wouldnt hesitate but to stay here. Big thanks to sunset beach staff and see you all soon.

Holidayed here March 2006. Fantastic place (loads of stairs though- 88 to ours!! and we weren't on top floor), but keeps you fit and burns off some of the calories. Fantastic selection of bars and restaurants just down from the reception, as is the beach front. Found great place called Sunset Beach - turn left as you come out and is about 100 metres along, but is upstairs so keep your eyes open for it!! Also, would add that we did a trip called ";The Grand Tour"; of Lanzarote booked with a concern down the road (left out of the apartment again)called Hotel Beds. We had a fantastic time with an English guide named Carol (you must go on the camel ride) and saved 13euros each on the price of same trip with Airtours, which they push hard, along with all the other trips, at the ";welcome meeting";!.

Weather was absolutely fantastic and would go again, something that we very rarely do.
