If you book this hotel be sure to ring the hotel to ask what facilities are working. We have just spent 10 nights here and the spa, steam room etc were all out of action. The rooms smelled bad because the (grey) water used for the toilet flush was not treated properly - smelled like drains - very pungent and probably unhealthy. We were told that there was nothing the hotel could do. The lifts broke down one day - we were on the 21st floor - enough said. Another day we were trapped in the lift - frightening! The fire alarm system appeared to be out of action for the first 3 days and the fire escape routes were cluttered with combustible materials. These were various pictures yet to be put up in the hallways. Every day we had to telephone for some problems - no coffee top up in the room - no bathrobe - no tissues - TV not working - room safe not working etc. One day we returned to our car in the basement car park to find it damaged. By the way, the parking charge is 25 euros per day - not advertised on the website. Any positives - yes, my wife got a lovely bunch of flowers on her birthday, some cake and fizz to drink. The views from floor 21 are stunning. However - having spent the whole stay arguing about the appalling service we would certainly not recommend this hotel. The hotel promises an "unforgettable experience". We will be trying to forget our experience and will never return. We were compensated by not being charged for the car park and 20% off the bill - hardly enough to compensate for a ruined "luxury" holiday!!

Basic hotel with clean rooms but very rude and unhelpful staff.

wonderful place to visit, just a little over hyped. Prefer Venice, Paris and others. I liked the wide streets and general cleanliness. Wish London could be like it

we stayed here 15th-19th ssept for wedding anniversary. Excelent all round and would highly recommend as an alternative to staying in an average hotel in centre for the same price or more. Suffered only from the occasional smell of drains which seems fairly usual throughout the city. Very smart hotel, very helpful and closee to all transport
Barcelona is a lovely place so much to see and do . A little expensive. but you could spend two weeks there and still not see everything.
I just wouldn't stay with Loving Barcelona Apartments again

Loving Barcelona
The problems started when you wanted to get back in the apartment late at night. We were staying in the Red Light District. if it wasn't frightening it would have been funny. These women come up to you proposition you three or four of them at a time and then they grab your wallet your phone anything they can get hold of. You literally have to fight to keep your possessions. We had to go home at night in gangs and even then they didn't give up. We are not naive but it would have been handy to know this rather than to get physically attached every time you came home and fighting to get your wallet back like we had to on a couple of occasions.
Now that was bad enough, but when it came to checking out I made some phone calls to loving Barcelona to find out what we had to do. When I eventually got hold of them they told me to leave the keys on the table and lock up, which we did. I made sure I had all the keys after reading it was £25 off your deposit to replace a key!! I looked around the apartment we had left it messy but no damage that I could see. all was well we set off back for rainy England.
When I got back home on the Monday I called up and asked when I would get my deposit back. I was informed that there was damage to both apartments and they were keeping half my deposit around £250. I was shocked and asked for photo's of the damage. They said they would get them to me shortly. Surprise surprise I am sat here 5 weeks later no photos and still £250 lighter. It was bad enough that no one checked the apartment when we left so I have no proof that there was no damage. They have not sent any photos. I feel like they are just hoping I will go away and they will keep my £250, after all I believe that they think a stag doo will think they may have done some damage so they will pay up. I feel like loving Barcelona are treating me like a child. Loving Barcelona have I feel been worse than the prostitutes outside the apartment after all you can see them coming.
I would never use loving Barcelona again and would never advise anyone else do so and have learnt from this lesson. Again I would never rent an apartment from Loving Barcelona.

We have always stayed in a travelodge where ever possible, this was no exception, very friendly and helpfull staff, the rooms are exactly what you expect, clean airy rooms with fresh linen and towels daily, when you arrive it seems you are in the middle of nowhere, actually you are only 10 mins from the metro stop (3 stops away from las ramblas)the reception staff will direct you and is the cheapest way to travel around barcelona!!! Dont bother getting a taxi to and from the airport use the metro its only 20 mins away and if you buy a t10 card this will get you from the airport and back and have 8 more journeys included in the price of 7 euros (bargain)I will be using this hotel every time.

We discovered this hotel browsing the web.. We visited Seville very briefly last October and were quite taken by it so decided a quick return was a must. A bit of research and we came up with the Amadeus. Having checked the Amadeus' own website and extensive web research, we made contact via email and finally booking direct by telephone. Throughout we dealt with Victoria who was always more than helpful.
On our arrival late evening, we were met by Fransisco on reception who was excellent and helpful. The hotel is simply stunning in it's own way. Naturally the name gives away the theme, with musical instruments every where along with the rooms being adorned with composers names.
We stayed in room 301, Atico, on the 3rd floor. The room was reached via the lift to floor 2, followed by a walk up a final flight of stairs. The room itself was quite spacious with an enormous double bed. This was clad in crisp white bed linen. There was adequate space for clothes for our stay of 4 days, although for any longer duration, may prove insufficient. A minor quibble. The room had a TV and air-conditioning, the latter essential in the heat. A shower room, with for once, an effective shower was accessed just off the main room.
Above the Atico room is the roof terrace and that really provided our only gripe. The terrace itself was an excellent seating area to take in some sun, sit and have a drink any time of the day and take in the superb views of the city, in particular the Cathedral and Giralda tower. However, other residents dragging chairs around constantly, either in the wee hours or early morning grated somewhat. Although it was easily cured by using earplugs, I would rather not have to. But nevertheless, it did not affect our stay and one could hardly blame the hotel.
To relieve any boredom, as if given the riches on offer in Seville, the hotel provided free web access via a PC on the second floor and wi-fi too. The musical theme was carried throughout the whole building with access to mucial instruments and CD's.
The price we paid was fair e115 per night + 7%iva but had been made more expensive by the recent strong showing by the Euro.
All in we had a great break in Seville and the hotel could not have been better and that includes the location in the heart of Barrio Santa Cruz. We will definitely go back and would recommend this hotel to any visitor contemplating Seville.

The old town of Girona is a lovely place. Cobbled streets and history so plenty of walking around. We found 2 days was enough for us but then it was mid 30s degrees and exceptionally hot! The drinks were very cheap we thought - on average 3-4 euros for a beer and a glass of wine. And the food we had was very good (3 course menu del dia for lunch - between 10 & 13 euros). The Gironan people are very nice and friendly and we didn't feel threatened or unsafe at all the whole weekend. I'm never sure what language to try and speak as they all speak Catalan and I wanted to try out my Spanish! We managed fine though. I would recommend a long weekend to Girona.

We stayed at the Sidorme Girona which is in a suburb of Girona. We flew to Girona on Ryanair and got a taxi to the hotel which is about 25 mins drive and approx 20 euros. We chose this hotel as it was cheap and we knew beforehand that it would just be functional and was situated outside of Girona. From the outside it looks like a big blue block! The bus service into Girona was very good. Catch the L3 or L4 bus from outside the back of the shopping centre - every 15 minutes - but watch for Sundays as they're less frequent - and only cost 1 euro 15 each way and it drops you just a short walk from the old town in Girona. The hotel is, as I say, functional. On a par with our Travelodge or Travel Inn so a basic room but clean and has everything you need for a couple of nights' stay. Make sure you're very friencly with any companions you're sharing a room with as the bathroom door is glass (smoked) and does not shut fully so there's no secrets!!! We had a room on the main road which was fine until Monday morning when all the rush hour traffic started and it was a bit noisy then plus the hotel is on the flight path to Girona Airport so planes overhead a lot! For eating you can go into the nearby shopping centre which is usual shopping centre fare (with a Catalan feel) but adequate. And the centre is useful for a quick drink or in our case to watch the Spain game in the Euro 08!! All in all it is an adequeate hotel but I would've preferred to pay a little extra to have the convenience of being in the centre of Girona. However, as an overnight stop on the way somewhere else I'd recommend the hotel if you don't want character!!
Shame the Euro is so expensive as it made everything very expensive. Barcelona is quite widespread, lots to see and do. The turistico bus made good sense to us.

Spent 4 days in Barcelona, staying at the Barcelona Princess. About 16 miles in a cab (about 35 Euros). The Hotel was very prominent on the Diagonal Strip, almost sky scraper like. Very modern and very impressive. The lifts were glass style of which you could see out over Barcelona. The hotel had 2 small swimming pools, jacuzzi and steam room all of which were good. The room itself was very good, comfy big bed and TV. We were on the 25th Floor and had an impressive view through the large patio style window, shame it didnt open to get some air in. The room was very modern with lots of electonic sliding blinds, the bathroom too was good, best shower I have ever come across.
The Hotel may be a little out of the way, but it is very well serviced by tram and bus, the 'turistico bus' stops right outside and is awesome for seeing the sights. The main strip of 'the ramblers' is about 20 mins away through public transport.
There is a huge shopping centre next door with lots of restaurants etc. We did stroll to the beach, about a 20 min walk.
Overall the hotel was very swanky.
Lovely city. The Royal Palace is a must see. Some fabulous Spanish restaurants serving 3 course lunches for 10 euros. Metro is very reliable and all the trains are very clean and new.

The Arosa is 4* hotel centrally situated directly off the Gran Via. All the major tourist attractions are within walking distance. The breakfasts are very good and available fron 7am until 11am. The service was excellent. I asked at reception for extra pillows and by the time I got back to the room, the pillows had already been delivered.Towels were changed daily , despite our placing them back on the towel rails! Bed linen changed every other day. There was a digital safe in the room, operated by your own credit card. This was free. the only trouble with this system was that you always had to carry that credit card or you couldn'nt get into the safe !! Would really recommend the Arosa.
