we stayed here 15th-19th ssept for wedding anniversary. Excelent all round and would highly recommend as an alternative to staying in an average hotel in centre for the same price or more. Suffered only from the occasional smell of drains which seems fairly usual throughout the city. Very smart hotel, very helpful and closee to all transport
wonderful place to visit, just a little over hyped. Prefer Venice, Paris and others. I liked the wide streets and general cleanliness. Wish London could be like it

Spent 4 days in Barcelona, staying at the Barcelona Princess. About 16 miles in a cab (about 35 Euros). The Hotel was very prominent on the Diagonal Strip, almost sky scraper like. Very modern and very impressive. The lifts were glass style of which you could see out over Barcelona. The hotel had 2 small swimming pools, jacuzzi and steam room all of which were good. The room itself was very good, comfy big bed and TV. We were on the 25th Floor and had an impressive view through the large patio style window, shame it didnt open to get some air in. The room was very modern with lots of electonic sliding blinds, the bathroom too was good, best shower I have ever come across.
The Hotel may be a little out of the way, but it is very well serviced by tram and bus, the 'turistico bus' stops right outside and is awesome for seeing the sights. The main strip of 'the ramblers' is about 20 mins away through public transport.
There is a huge shopping centre next door with lots of restaurants etc. We did stroll to the beach, about a 20 min walk.
Overall the hotel was very swanky.
Shame the Euro is so expensive as it made everything very expensive. Barcelona is quite widespread, lots to see and do. The turistico bus made good sense to us.
