"Hotel Jupiter / Saturno / Marte Complex review"
Overall Hotel Rating:
just returned from a two week break at club mac in alcudia. As it was our first holiday abroad we were pretty terrified after reading the reports on here about the complex. But we all reallly enjoyed ourselves.
I won't lie to you. We arrived on Saturday at about mid-day, checked in but was told our room wasn't ready. This wasn't too pleasing as we were all tired. Went back to reception about half hour later and got our key card. Went to the room and was pleased with the size. Nothing elaborate but comfortable. The 2nd week they were offering an upgrade to family accomodation. I would definetly recomend trying to get a family suite as the space is much more appealing.
The food as previously mentioned was a bit repetative but with so many mouths to feed there was more than enough to go around. I would reccomend to use the show cooking area. You know for definite that the food is cooked freshly. If you like pork you will love the food. DONT TOUCH THE MUSHROOMS UNLESS YOU LIKE MUSHROOMS NOT TO TASTE LIKE MUSHROOMS. We found that the childrens section never had a lot to offer, so our daughter lived on salad, crisps and yoghurt most of the fortnight. (she didn't complain).
The pools were very clean both in and around and i also noticed that from about 6am the staff were jet washing most of the paths. Gardens were immaculately kept, rubbish was to a minimum apart from after the evening entertainment. But most of that was through no fault of the cleaning staff but some lazy holiday makers who couldnt be bothered to take their rubbish to the bins. The cleaners had more than enough to do.
The maids were excellent. The one that done our floor (3) (vero was her name) was excellent. I urge anyone if they are happy with the service of the maid to leave a tip at the end of their stay.
We were all ill with sickness and diahhorea but all we could put that down to was the water. DO NOT USE THE ICE CREAM SCOOPS IN THE RESTAURANT. USE THE SPOONS INSTEAD!!!. The illnesses only lasted one day and didn't really interrupt our holiday.Entertainment spot on. Bingo wicked. Great prize money. Alcohol runs freely but we didn't see any one take advantage to the point that they were 'typical british lager louts'.
All in all a great holiday. Would definetly recomend to anyone with children of all ages. We will be going back in a couple of years but hiring a car next time as there was so much to do on the island but unless paying out for coach trips there wasn't a lot you could do.Excellent all round. Club mac. We will be back.

Overall Hotel Rating:
Arived early hours of Sunday Morning, first impressions good, had booked family room for my 5 a little small for what I expected but adequate, clean, tidy, 2 balconys, 2 TV's no bath just a shower although this did not cause a problem.
The hotel had everything that the brochure said. Lots of entertainment througout the day and evening through to around 11.00pm. Main bars open until midnight food available 24 hrs and for first choice customers there was a bar open until around 5am in the morning (not quite 24hrs but I didn't think the early closing was a problem all my group had had more than enough by then).99% of the staff were pleasant and helpful and attempting to keep everything clean and tidy all day and night. This is a big complex with a lot of people the staff did well.
Ideal groups, and families not for a quiet peaceful holiday, elder couples (no kids) and the romantics think twice!
Although on the edge of the resort everything outside of the complex, beech, shops and bars if you wanted to wander were no more than 10 mins walk away.I noted some people have in the past moaned about geeting sunbeds, this was never a problem for us and our group was of 20 people.
First Choice reps were very accessible and Helpful.
Thanks for a great holiday!

"Hotel Jupiter / Saturno / Marte Complex review"
Overall Hotel Rating:
Booked what I was lead to believe was a three star plus complex with lots to do and many great attractions.
The accommodation was shabby to say the least. The food was poor and the whole place was more than just a let down.We managed to stick it out for one night as we had a late arrival. We spoke to the rep the next morning and got moved to what I would call something like we had paid for. Be warned not everything is like it says on the tin.

"Hotel Jupiter / Saturno / Marte Complex review"
Overall Hotel Rating:
Just returned from the saturno hotel in alcudia, well what a wonderful surprise. We had read the terrible reviews about this all inclusive complex, but we really cant see why people run it down.
The staff were always helpful, good choice of food during the day and evening. Several bars and coffee machines in reception area. 3 entertainment sections, great swimming pools and loads of activities for all ages. There is a small park, a small fairground section, although you have to pay for each ride. Horse riding, only a 5 minute ride though around the small lake for 4euros, not an hour like they lead you to believe. Table tennis, pool/snooker, mini golf, boating lake which is free in the morning but 12 euros in the afternoon.
The staff were always cleaning inside the hotel and around the bars. Rooms were cleaned and fresh towels were left every day. The bathrooms were in need of an update but everything was clean and worked as it should. The corridors were in need of a little tlc but who spends anytime in the corridors. Lifts were a little busy and seemed to take some time but never waited more than 5 minutes. Walking up the stairs is not recommended, specially if your on the 9th floor - phew.....still recovering.
Alcudia is about 15 mins walk away but easy to get to and has a good choice of shops and retaurants. Beach is only a 5-10 minute bus ride away but a free bus picks up every 30 mins, last bus leaving the beach at 5.30.
We would definately return to this complex. If you are having doubts about going then dont, youll have a great holiday, trust me. Our children are already asking when we can return.

Overall Hotel Rating:
Our first comment is do not book with Fleetway travel we booked 9 months in advance and less than 3 weeks before departure they wrote to say they were going to change our resort. Under their terms and conditions we refused and asked for a refund on the phone many times, by email and letter. They effectively refused and after a week said they had managed to get another room from another operator. All very stressful and took the edge off looking forward to our holiday.
First impressions of the hotel were not accurate for us. On arrival we found the Saturno poolside littered with cups and the tables by the pool sticky. (all of them) We soon realised this was not the hotels fault, its a combination of it being the coolest/windiest part of the complex and the brits being lazy. The staff were doing their best.
The room was clean and well-maintained. The food was out of this world. Only negatives were that we thought the boats on the lake were inclusive (at approx £6 per session when you have 3 kids it's not cheap) and that the evening entertainment was sometimes misleading. They had posters in the foyer apparently advertising visiting acts, when you went out early to get a table and waited with anticipation it was a great disappointment when it was just the hotel's staff who weren't great with their circus performance.
You will have a great time. Very good hotel, rooms great, food great.

Overall Hotel Rating:
weve just got back on the 19/09/2006 from staying at the saturno hotel one of the 3 hotels on the complex and have got to say we found it to big and a little unpersonalised but there was a lot of people there ,we worked out on average 160 rooms in each hotel x3 a lot of people but generally speaking the hotels were quite good ,The saturno i would say was the most one needing to be updated .The jupiter was the most updated then The marte .
we found that there didnt seem to be that much going on for the children especially the older kids i felt that they only thing my older boy did was playing pool every night which you had to pay for .The room we had was on the 9th floor and the lifts could be a pain at busy times and we found the kids were going in and pressing the buttons to stop at every floor very annoying, also one day when we had got in the lift someone had kindly kicked the mirror in and it was smashed on the floor. I reported it to the reception it had been taped up when we went back in later on .When we left on tuesday this hadnt been replaced i cant believe that theres idiots that have to do these things to other people's property. We went to the waterpark opposite the hotel saturno on the monday and really enjoyed it ,we came out at lunchtime and went back in after ,they stamp your hand.
Overall we enjoyed are time hear but personally wouldnt return in a hurry.Generally speaking we think the resorts needing some overall maintenance to bring it up to a higher quality the lakes and kids area at the bottom definetely needs improving. Finally i would say the food is good in the restaurants but the snacks throughout the day get a bit boring chips with everything i think we wont want to see them for a while ha ha.

Overall Hotel Rating:
After reading reviews on here we were dreading the holiday but we had a good time.
We stayed in the Saturno on the 9th floor, the room was basic and cramped for 4 people and in need of some updating but it was cleaned regularly. We found the entertainment a bit lacking but we still enjoyed ourselves.
The choice of food was really good and the staff were friendly. We didnt have any problems with queues at the bar, and there was never more than 4 people waiting for a drink. There were plenty of bar staff serving.
There is plenty for the kids to keep themselves occupied.
I would not recommend these hotels if you dont have kids though.
Overall it was definately value for money.

I cannot fault The Jupiter, we were there for two weeks during June and enjoyed every minute. The food was varied and good, thepool area.s were busy but what do people expct? The bars were busy but come on....the drinks were free, do these moaners want table sevice? The Entertainment was fantastic and very well prented, O.K there wasthe Rocky Horror Show but parents were warned, about what? I don,t know, my two children were there as were loads of other children, Gosh, they see and here far worse on the T.v. Our thanks to Georgio and the rest of the team for their efforts and professionalism
The rooms wereon the small side but we did not go to sit in the room all day, we went for sunshine, good entertainment, good food,a safe environment for the childrenand the ability to have a few drinks without breaking the bank. We got the lot.
This was not our first visit to The Jupiter but our 3rd....... and Guess what! we will be going back next year. We loved it, so did the kids. If anything did spoil it it was the 5 hour delay at Palma Airport on the way home.

We have just got back from club mac and it was brilliant. There's always loads of activities for adults, teenagers and the younger children during the day.The kids clubs are great our kids really enjoyed them and it gave us a couple of hours peace. The food is pretty good but the only complaint i had about it was that it was a bit repetative, but it was nice. In the evening there's three lots of different entertainment,we mainly went to the circus stage which we thougt was the best out of the three, the jupiter stage has a film on every night for the kids. There are seven swimming pools which are all kid friendly with seperate shallow bits.We had a really great time and would recommend club mac to anyone who likes a good laugh likes a drink and with young kids or teenagers.
WE WILL BE AT CLUB NEXT YEAR.

"Hotel Jupiter / Saturno / Marte Complex review"
Overall Hotel Rating:
When I booked to go to the Jupiter Hotel, I decided to read some reviews to get an insight into what our holiday was going to be like. After reading them, my husband and I had some major reservations because the reviews were very negative.
After spending 2 weeks there with 2 children, I felt compelled to write my own review so that I could hopefully set the record straight and ease the minds of anyone who has read some bad reviews and is booked to go to the Jupiter in the future!
We absolutely loved our holiday.
Our twin room was quite small but very clean. The wardrobes were big enough for 4 people's clothes. The air conditioning didn't smell as I had previously read and was an absolute godsend. The rooms were cleaned every day and the towels and linen changed regularly. One day, my son accidentally smashed a glass in the room and after reporting it at reception, a maid was with us within 5 minutes cleaning the broken glass. We always had a good, peaceful nights' sleep and did not experience any loud, rowdy behaviour by other guests.
We were on the 4th floor and so often walked up and down the stairs but on the occasions that we took one of the 7 lifts, we never experienced any problems with waiting for them. There were a couple of occasions when a lift broke down but the engineer was there quickly to put the problem right.
The food was good and there was plenty of choice at each meal. We didn't experience any waiting for tables and usually walked straight to one at every meal. We like to have our lunch at 12 - 12.30pm and dinner at 6 - 6.30pm and the restaurant was always quiet at these times. If you like your meals later, then sometimes guests did have to wait a couple of minutes to be seated which I don't think is a major problem considering how many guests it has to cater for! At these times, the staff were well organised, clearing tables quickly and the head waiter would show you to a clean table as soon as one was ready.
After the first week, we found that going to the restaurant for 3 meals each day was a little restricting and so during the second week, we had our lunch in another area which provided jacket potatoes, salad, burgers, chicken wings, sausages and kebabs. This was a busy place with a constant supply of hot, fresh food. The cleaning staff were continuously clearing tables and making sure the floor was free of food.
I can't really think of anything negative to feedback about the Jupiter. The only downside was the sunbeds. People were reserving their sunbeds as early as 4.00am and so very often, there was no room round the pool. However, as we were leaving, a new policy was introduced whereby the sunbeds were only available to guests after 8.30am and so this should help resolve the problem in the future.
Finally, the First Choice reps were excellent. We were met off the plane and shown to our coach. They were always visible in reception and had their own desk. They were always on hand to answer any questions on excursions or the best way to get to town or shopping areas and were informative after the airport security scare in Aug 06.
The Jupiter is a busy, family hotel with plenty to do. I'd recommend it!

"Hotel Jupiter / Saturno / Marte Complex review"
Overall Hotel Rating:
disgusting,disgusting,disgusting.
Having returned from the hotel Jupiter on july 13 2006, I feel the need to warn the hard working British public to not spend their hard earned money on a vacation to this foul excuse for an all inclusive holiday resort.
We arrived at the hotel at 12.15 only to be told our room was not ready, and would be about an hour, so being the polite brits that we are, we went to get some refreshnents and returned to reception at 13.30, only to be told that our room was still not ready.
We finally got our key at 15.00. ";What a relief,"; I hear you say. Not at all!!! The wardrobe had no doors, the bathroom was covered in mould and had a distinctive stench, the towels were nothing more than hand towels. Our room (316) was situated above the very poor excuse for a lake (which smells like you would not believe) and just above the resteraunt bin area (which again smells). We have a 15 year old daughter and a 13 year old son, who were expected to share one of the 2 queen size beds, maybe this should have been picked up at the time of booking, but were horrified to find that the hotel did not have any single beds.
Having got over the shock of our room, we went out for the evening. Ok until about 22.00 when the teenagers staying at the hotel had had far too much to drink, then the whole atmosphere of the complex changed. We found this to be the case every night of our unfortunate 14 night stay. How can this be?
We got up for breakfast the next morning and found the resteraunt via the queue, which was approx 25 families deep. when we finally got a table, the food was cold, dry and very boring. The milk for cereal was in actual fact the warmest thing available. The queues didnt get any less for lunch or dinner. The food was repetetive and lacking in imagination, I survived on pizza for the first week, as it was the only thing I couldnt get food poisoning from. After the first week we had had enough, so ate out for the whole of the second week, at our expense.
The entertainment was on the whole ok, but you had to be sat down in the entertainment area about 2 hours before it started, otherwise you would be standing around waiting for someone to vacate their table. The pool areas were a disgrace, there are 3 main pools, which on a good day were so packed that you couldnt get enough space to relax, however as I have previously mentioned the teenagers who were drunk the night before had been sick in one of the pools, which meant that one would be closed for 24 hours which meant that the people who would normally be by that pool would all try and get space around the 2 remaining pools. This was the case 8 out of the 14 days we were there!
The bar areas were ok and didnt have a problem getting served.
The lifts were like waiting for a bus, you wait for an hour and then 3 will turn up.
The ice cream parlour was hidden away in the darkest depths of the complex. If you are taking your young children to this complex beware of the life guards situated around the pools, my partner and daughter witnessed one of them attack and grab a 12 year old boy round the throat just because he splashed him, if he didnt like getting wet, why was he a life guard? They all appeared to be interested in only one thing, and that was staring at the attractive women from behind their dark sun glasses.
I dare say Alcudia is a very nice place to visit, however we didnt feel inspired by our surroundings enough to want to discover any more in case it was all as bad as the Jupiter.
If you have booked your vacation to this resort, dont worry, just simply leave your cases on the coach, go to the reception who will transfer you to one of their sister hotels, which on all counts are as bad. I apologise if you are unfortunate enough to read this, but as a brit to another brit. BEWARE!!!!!!!!!

Overall Hotel Rating:
We arrived at the Mac complex at 05.30am, checked in at reception and ate freshly made sandwiches from the fridge and hot tea and coffee from the machines.
On arrival at our room on the 3rd floor we were disappointed by the size, we were greeted by two double beds, and a balcony with two chairs, we were unable to unpack our suitcases, there was no room to put them anywhere.
We went down for breakfast at 8am and were greeted by happy smiling staff, loads of choice, good quality food, freshly cooked in front of you.Next a trip to the pool, nice and clean loads of beds, loads of towels too (and no germans in site), as usual the selfish people reserved themselves several beds at stupid o clock and came down hours later to utilise them. By 10am the poolside at all the pools was choca block, the beds so close to one another we thought foreplay was in order. On our second day someone had a poo in the pool, so the pool was closed for exactly 24 hours, (nice and peaceful) when it reopened it was about 10 mins before someone was sick in the pool and it was closed again for 24 hours.
Lunchtime was a chilled and relaxed affair with plenty of space to eat. Same again with evening dinner, we ate around 8pm less busy. Lots of the diners could not read the NO BEACHWEAR signs or did not think it applied to them. The facilities at this complex are fantastic, the shows superb, the hotel staff catering, cleaning and management deserve mentioning in despatches for the work they do.
The British people should be ashamed of themselves for the disgusting mess they leave everywhere, by the pool, by the bar, in the foyer, in the toilets, very few of the guests used the hundreds of bins available, and every evening as we left the pool there was rubbish dumped by the bathers, the bigger the family the more crap they left.Everything was cleaned and jet washed everyday and left spick and span by the cleaning staff.
There was loads for the children to do at all times, our only complaint is that there was a lack of parental supervision, we caught 3, 9 year olds throwing chairs in the lake, and untying the kyaks. At night time parents tended to let there kids run wild, the older ones availing themselves of alcohol, more often then not supplied by the parents, that is the 13 _ 17 year olds, It is a massive complex more like a small village with around 3,000 people and with that many people and that much alcohol there is bound to be trouble and there was...... UNSUPERVISED UNRULY YOUTHS.
Last orders at the bar was like Harrods sale time, as were the midnight sandwiches, people grabbed far too many just because they were there.
If you like a very busy and noisy holiday, with loads to do and lots of people to meet, then this is for you.
We had good food, good facilities, happy smiling staff, good weather, SHAME ABOUT THE BRTISISH COULD NOT GIVE A DAMN ATTITUDE.

we stayed at the saturno hotel from 15 july to 29th 2006; it was a great holiday the food was great plenty of variety; we always got a table straight the way in the restaurents.we only queued for drinks at the outside stage where they played bingo for very high prizes every night! goergio was the most entertaining bingo caller and the shows after were also good.
i had read some very worrying reviews about the resort but were all unfounded and would go back anytime. the only draw back were the lifts you did have to wait if you did'nt fancy walking we were on the 6th floor; so we did wait sometimes to go up but always walked down. i really felt for people with pushchairs or wheel chair users. other than that we had a lovley holiday in good complex with good food and drink and lots of sunshine just want you want from a holiday! we are already thinking about booking again for next year.

"Hotel Jupiter / Saturno / Marte Complex review"
Overall Hotel Rating:
This is very much about bums on seats, it is a conveyor belt of package holidays, get em in and ship em out. The Entertainment team are good but they do not seek you out or encourage you to join in, you have to find them for yourselves and then it becomes very clique with the same faces all the time.
If you stand in the Jupiter plaza you are reminded of a 1960's council estate with oppressive tower blocks over looking you. The rooms are very very basic and small, they are getting a bit delapidated with cracks all around the walls and the standard of hygiene is not exactly up to much.
We travelled with young children and found the on sight bouncy castles and trampolines a complete bane. They are chargeable and attract the children continuously, to me all inclusive means all inclusive but at this hotel there are several hidden extras.
The food is very basic and samey. They don't seem to make to much of an effort and the quality of meat is poor, very chewy and fatty cuts. There is a lot of pork as it is cheap, and the salads appear to be wheeled out each mealtime looking as limp as the last. Make sure you go to the restaurant early for breakfast and dinner or you could be queueing for up to 15 mins just to get in then you have to queue to actually get your food. After about 9.30pm the only place you can get anything to eat is in the jupiter restaurant, so if you have young children who want an early night, unless you go down to eat at the restaurant in shifts you will go hungry as food is not permitted out of the restaurant, the other alternative is to wait up till 11.30pm when you can get a lukle warm ham and cheese sandwich from the marte.
The brochure states that picnics are available if you want them, however this is not strictly true. You can get a picnic only if you book a trip through the hotel or book a hire car through the hotel. If you just want to go out then you do not ";qualify"; for a picnic! The picnic however is not something to shout about. In your box you have a loaf of bread, 2 tins of tuna, 2 tins of pate some bruised tomatoes and some oranges. So you don't actually miss much.
In general the staff are surrley and don't try to make you feel special you are just another one of the countless faces passing through. The Club Mac complex is just too large with too few staff and entertainment crew.It is summed up by the fact that we were there for the beginning of the world cup and until 10 minutes before kick off of England's opening game the hotel were not showing any matches because they would have to serve too many beers!!! Fortunately the decision was overturned due to demand but everyone had to cram into the jupiter bar instead of it going on one of the big outside entertainment screens.
In short I wouldn't bother, you can get so much better for the same money.
