"Hotel Jupiter Alcudia"
Overall Hotel Rating:
We booked for October 2009 and although it's is a family complex, we were not expecting so many children. On the whole most very very well behaved, but the parents who let their children run round all over the place screaming late at night, slamming doors, well what were the parents doing????
Other then that we found the hotel very good, were a bit disappointed with the rooms at the beginning with small balcony, but we put that down to tiredness after the journey. We had paid extra for an upgrade, thus we had a settee & fridge.
We thought the food was the best we had had on an A.I. lots to choose from and the theme nights were great. We normally went outside for the evening entertainment and most nights we enjoyed the singers. We also enjoyed some of the entertainment in the Jupiter at night.
We felt all the staff on the complex worked very hard, and were very helpful.
The free bus to the beach was a bonus, once we knew the way we walked there and back, a good way of burning all the calories from the food and drink.
The lake was an added bonus and made for a pleasant walk after breakfast & dinner. We also had lunch a few times and again found the choice very good.
The entertainment for the children seemed very well organised and plenty for the children to do.
Would have no hesitate in recommending this complex to others especially young families.

"Marte Complex"
Overall Hotel Rating:
We have returned today from staying at the Marte which was supposed to have been all inclusive, booked with Thomas Cook - far too many kids there, they have only just had 7 weeks holiday so how come they were so many there - the parents obviously don't value their education these days. We would not have gone had we known. The parents didn't care what their kids were up to, they just wanted to get boozed up and left them to annoy other guests. No comfort whatsoever, rooms like boxes and not like the photo in the brochure. Food got worse as the holiday went on, I wouldn't feed it to my dog if I had one. Not recommended and we should have been told that there would be LOADS of kids there when we booked up and we would have gone somewhere else. I have completed my complaints form and written and handed in a letter to the manager of the hotel last night. Do not go there if you want a quiet holiday and it certainly is not worth the money we paid.

"Great"
Overall Hotel Rating:
We spent 11 nights in the Jupiter in September 09 and had a great holiday, the food was good and entertainment was average, there is a bus that takes you to the beach but sometimes it filled up quickly and you had to wait for the next one. It was about 15 minutes walk to the beach which is fantastic. We have been to Alcudia a few times before and although we had a great time at Club Mac I would only recommend it if you have young children as there is more kids than there is adults. You have to be up very early to get a bed by the pool. We were all inclusive and the only thing I would change is the late evening snack bar which could do something a bit better than burgers or hot dogs. We are going back to Alcudia in June but as our kids have now grown it will be an apartment with less children.

"Aug 2009 - Great for a family"
Overall Hotel Rating:
The Jupiter / Saturno complex is an all-inclusive mini-resort. It consists of 3 hotels actually - the Jupiter, Saturno and the smaller Marte. These lie in extensive grounds with a several swimming pools, a boating lake and quiet, grassy areas. Mind you, many of the "extras" - pedaloes, water slide, electric cars, etc plus the mini fairground you have to pay for - 2 - 5 euros depending on what it is. Meals are taken in the hotel restaurants or the pool-side snack bar - plus there is a simple kiosk near the lake where they server burgers, hot dogs, fries and soft drinks. The dinners are "themed" - Circus, Italian, Tex-Mex, Spanish, Aqua, etc - and we found the food to be exceptionally good. The restaurants could get very busy and you do get a few kids running-around at times but mostly the meal times were really nice occasions. As well as the hot food counters, there was always a "show-cooking" area where the chef would be cooking fresh chicken, fish or pastas. Oh, and the cooked breakfasts were delicious - hard to choose between the traditional "English Breakfast" or the wide range of continental-style breakfast fayre. I have read mixed reviews here - well, this was my second visit and I maintain that the food (in my opinion) was top-quality and the hotel provided lots of choice. If you are the plate-of-chips type and won't eat "foreign food" then you will STILL find things you like to eat! Maybe from the kiddy menu or the veggie options? Otherwise - you are spoilt for choice. OK , not cordon bleu but very very good indeed. Jupiter/Saturno is located just next to the Alcudia water park and about a 10-minute walk to the main coast road for buses going to Caan Picafort or Alcudia old-town. The beach was a little further-on - we reckon on 15 mins walk to the beach although there is a regular free bus from the hotel gate to the beach. (Not allowed on with huge inflatable though!) We walked - but cut through to the next street so that we could walk down the lovely canal paths which were quieter and more pleasant. Oh yes - there is a short-cut to Alcudia old town by taking the path along-side the water park, through some bushy land, crossing a main road, and then another path past the cemetery to the top of the hill. Takes about 20 - 30 minutes to walk that way.

"Don't even think about it"
Overall Hotel Rating:
Read the reviews, still booked it. WHY!!!!!!!!!!! Booked direct with hotel November 2008 for an August 2009 arrival, booked and paid for a family suite. Arrived at 11.30am and was told room not ready, they very kindly gave us our arm band so we could get something to eat. Was told to go back in an hour, we did and again not ready. Told to come back at 3, it was ready or so we thought. Paid for family room after battling through the most ridiculously organised queuing system. Then they handed us 2 standard room keys (the family suite was double booked), so a family of 2 adults and 3 young children were being put into 2 rooms. We went and looked at the room to see if it was suitable (the worlds smallest room with the worlds smallest balcony). We went back to reception and got our money back, minus the deposit. We the found ourselves a nother hotel in alcudia (didn't fancy sleeping in the back of a Citroen Berlingo on the kids first holiday abroad). We did make the mistake of keeping the arm bands on and helping ourself to some free watered down alcohol and some free food which proceeded to give us a bout of food poisoning. Hotel is overun with feral children and sunburnt scumbags, constant smell of drains (although this is common in alcudia). In summary book if you dare!!! I would never consider it again.

Overall Hotel Rating:
We booked this years jollys last min and we paid £2100 for myself ,wife ,son 2yrs and prince aged 4 yrs we arrived at dinner time and found the walk from the main street to the reception then to our room was a bit long and hard with kids and suitcases. room was very basic two double beds in one room and about fout ft of the ground not right for a 2 years old and a 4 years old plus what about mummy and daddy time after along day / night . very good size pools kids spent all day going from one to another the MAC TEAM were the best set of reps ive ever seen , they had time and fun in doing the job ... take note british reps all of you were poor . food some good choice , some bad choice but the was a lot to pick from from salads, soups ,chicken and theme nights. the was a mac burger bar , alate food place in fact the was food and drink from 8 am till 12pm . the night entertament was good again the mac team put alot of time in entertaining the crowd but the big acts need to try again like girls so loud who mimd the songs or the spanish elvis we say the same elvis in san coma three years ago and he was poor then. but for every bad act the was a good act like the chinesse circus they were top drawer. the is a free bus to the beach , the beach was very nice and clean .

"go with an open mind!"
Overall Hotel Rating:
I went for 7days end of august 2009. six adults and 5 kids. The rooms i thought were small, but then you only sleep in them. the towels are changed daily if you leave them in the bath and sheets are changed when you want. waiting for the lifts wasnt to bad but they stop running at 12.30pm so make sure you up to your room especially if you on 9th floor. have to get towels down early for a good spot by the pool bout 6.45am and unless you want to queue for dinner you need to be there bout 6pm. food is good lots of variety. it seemed like we were rushing all the time so we didnt have to queue as it was august and obviously busy. drinks and snacks were ok. i found there was lots of extras to pay for if your kids want them like trampolines, arcades, pool tables, pony rides, drinks machines etc. the main evening entertainment wasnt until 10pm so i found by then my kids were tired and had enough if you go there to late after 7pm you wouldnt get a seat. overall we liked it but I wouldnt go back to a big hotel like that again.

"Great Holiday"
Overall Hotel Rating:
Had read some poor reviews before we left so were a bit anxious about staying here. However, I can honestly say that my family and l had an excellent holiday at the Hotel Jupiter. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Food was good, a different theme each night. Hotel was clean. Rooms not massive but you dont spend much time in them so they are fine. Plenty of pools to choose between. My children (14 and 11) loved it here. Children and adults can participate in activities during the day and night if they wish. The range of drinks on offer is great with local spirits, San Miguel, pepsi, 7up, fruit juice, slushies etc. There are plenty of places to eat - you can eat in any of the 3 hotels restaurants, the burger bar, sandwich bar etc. Coffee machines in each lobby.
A visit to the Port of Alcudia and the beach is worth doing as it is so beautiful. You can catch the free bus outside the hotel to the beach during the day and the free bus to the Port in the evening.
I would recommend this hotel to family and friends as we had a great time!!

"very good"
Overall Hotel Rating:
excellent hotel for the price you pay to stay here. the food becomes a little monotonous after the 3rd day but it is to understand that you are paying rock bottom prices and you can get food and drinks all day and all night.
"Saturno"
Overall Hotel Rating:
Brilliant for kids there is so much to do just on the complex, and if that isnt enough, just outside there is a mile strip of shops and more things to do.
The food was absoloutly brilliant, there is endless choices so there is always something you like, i think i put on about 100 stone for the sheer amount i ate because it was all just too nice. The do specic days like spani, circus etc so the food is themed meaning you know what your going to get, is enjoyable for the kids and you get to experience something new. I think its the best bit of my holiday.
My only complaint is the sheer amount of people and kids packed around the swimming pool, if you dont get there before lunch its hard to find beds and its a little clostrophobic, but the gorgeous whether makes up for it.
The local beach is amazing, more like something you would find in the carribean, white sands, see through see .. just gorgeous

"EXCELLENT HOTEL FOR YOUNG FAMILIES ****"
Overall Hotel Rating:
I was very worried when reading the reviews prior to my visit. However I was pleasantly surprised and overawed by what I found.....Checked in - no problem. Found our room and as requested was accommodated a lower floor. We had booked a family suite and our bathroom had been newly decorated. We had a plasma tv, which was a hit with my children. We had 2 bedrooms with a sliding door separating the kids room and our room. One small moan - the balconies were tiny and could only accommodate 1/2 persons at a time. We did not have a table and chairs and was going to request same, however after several days our balcony space was taken up by our inflatable toys!!!!!
Our cleaner was very friendly and was over the moon when my children spoke a little Spanish to her. She excitedly chatted on in Spanish, much to my children's confusion, and I had to explain to her that they only knew a small amount of Spanish.
The bed sheets and towels were changed every day at our request, which in my experience is very unusual. The cleaners and hotel staff were always working hard to keep the hotels clean and tidy. It never fails to amaze me that people don't use bins which are situated everywhere throughout the hotels!!
The food was fantastic and plentiful. I would recommend the cakes at lunch and dinner time - YUM!!!!!!!The drinks were also well received. I was surprised to find a pump of water at every bar, where you could help yourself to cool and clean water, and fill up empty water bottles.
The dining rooms did get busy at peak times. We stayed in the Saturno which is the middle sized of the 3 hotels. On finding a long queue, we would just walk to another hotel, usually the Marte which was always quieter. I can't understand people moaning about queues when there are other venues available if you use your brain and try them out!!!
I read a previous review stating that the 9 pools only consisted of 2 deep pools - RUBBISH!!! Again if only people walked further and stopped moaning they would have found 3 pools which had deep ends, also a lazy river which my kids loved bobbing up and down in on their inflatable toys. The pools did get busy but we visited the beautiful beach during busy periods and returned to the pool later in the day to find sun beds a plenty!
The best thing about this hotel is the abundant entertainment which accommodates young children, teenagers, and adults. I was especially surprised to see the teenagers having a ball and having great banter with Grant, their rep.
The children's entertainment was abundant, always things to do, however my kids just wanted to play in the pool all day and rarely visited the childrens play area at the bottom of the lake. I must give a special welcome to "Kate" who had a fantastic and bubbly personality, who remembered most of the kids names, approx 50 at a time!!!!
Every day, the hotel prints an information sheet listing all activities, theme details at the restaurants, handy hints, and a portfolio of staff members. I was surprised to find that the majority of staff had been with Club Mac for an average 10 years which shows this company must be good to work for - a happy team get happy holidaymakers.
I also loved that the entertainment was outside in a dome shaped arena. This was brilliant on warm and sticky nights. Yes it did get busy however we always found seats and managed to meet lovely people, sitting nearby.
I would recommend catching the free bus to the beach which runs every 30 minutes. The driver is lovely and very friendly. On our first day, we foolishly walked, and had to cope with cranky, hot and dehydrated children. One tip - don't eat at the cafes on the beach. We met a family who spent £40 on a lunch for 2 adults and 2 children!!!. A can of Coke cost £2.50!!!. We found it better to walk up to the street parallel with the beach, where the restaurants and shops were decently priced.
We hired a car for 3 days which cost us only 120 Euros (rented from the company opposite the hotel, next door to the Spar - we found this company to be the cheapest of approx 10 other rental companies).
We toured the majority of the island and found that Alcudia has one of the most gorgeous beaches and is hard to beat.
I would definately recommend this hotel to families who are looking for an entertaining holiday, with good value for money. Don't listen to the moaners, I'm sure they would be unhappy wherever they ended up. I feel strongly about giving this hotel and its staff the credit they deserve.
Enjoy.............................................................................
"Perfect if you're on a budget!"
Overall Hotel Rating:
We travelled as a couple in July, having a low budget for our Summer Holidays. We didn't have very high expectations based on the reviews we had read before we left, however as we had hired a car we figured that in a worst case scenario at least we'd be out every day!
The hotel complex is huge, consisting of 3 massive hotels with a number of pools spread throughout the grounds. You'll find it is a very family orientated complex, with plenty of activities on hand for all ages to enjoy. The rooms are a decent size and of a decent standard for a hotel of this rating in Spain. Yes, the walls are thin and you can hear children on occasions, however it's not as bad as a lot of people make out.
Food is plentiful and there is a good selection, so there is sure to be something to suit most tastes. We never had any problems getting seated, however we avoided the very early evening for dinners as a lot of families tend to go down then.
Staff provided a decent enough service considering the sheer size and volume of people passing through the hotel.
We felt the hotel was better for families, however if you're on a budget and looking for a decent base in a pleasant resort this is a good bet.

"Hotel Jupiter"
Overall Hotel Rating:
If its sleep deprivation your after this is the hotel for you. The rooms are small & shabby & you couldn't swing a cat on the balcony. Our bath & sink were both blocked when we went into our room & remained that way for the majority of the holiday.
The pools looked divine, however both my daughters contracted eye infections. My husband also cut his finger whilst getting out of the pool, which became infected & has remained infected to date. Twice one of the pools had to be closed due to excrement floating around.
However on a positive note the food was good & the beach was beautiful, however dont expect to be given a packed lunch to take with you as these are reserved for booked payable excursions!!
It was the worst hotel I have ever had the misfortune to stay at. Please heed this warning & avoid booking a holiday at this hotel.

"jupiter saturno marte hotels"
Overall Hotel Rating:
just arrived back 29th july 09 with two 14yr old boys.well very good hotel and very clean and tidy.my wife and i never saw the boys from time we got up till time i had to call them for bed.made friends and played the games organized which have to say was ok but could have been done better.location was superb aswell 5 min walk to alcudia town and 10min walk into pollenca town.this hotel lay buses on to the town every half hour and also to the beach which must say is only a 5 min walk which is a nice walk.water park across the road is expensive for what you get but the kids loved it so its worth it for thier entertainment.on that subject the entertainment team at the hotel are superb really look after the young kids and join in the fun with the teenagers.rooms are good air con and cleaned every day to high standard with clean towels everyday and bedding changed everyday if you want..food was great different theme everynight but if your kids are fussy then really its hit or miss for eating that food.there is kids food but its chicken nuggets and chips ,pasta, breast of chicken.ice cream and drinks are on tap anytime of the day, drinks are in half pint plastic cups but you can order as many as you like which is good.overall i would tell anyone with kids or teenagers to give this a try its well worth it and with the weather not below 35 degrees it was well worth it for adults to catch the sun.
