Cala Bona does just what we want it to do. Not rowdy, very few nightclubs (That I saw although I wasn't looking very closely!) A nice sea front prom, plenty of bars, shops, plenty of restaurants. Lots of choice. A meal for 2 including dessert and a drink could range from 20 euros to 50 euros. Depending on your taste and how much you drink of course. A good choice of restaurants by the marina. Our favourite was Janet and Johns. A perfect mix of english and spanish people and food. No TV's. no football. Just good food in the perfect atmosphere. I recommend the steak torpedo rossellini. We found the local busses a bit unreliable and packed. A bus trip to Palma will take between 1 1/2 and 2 hours depending on time and traffic. Coming back their usually full! Cala Ratjada on a saturday for the market and the marina is nice. Porto Christo and the caves of Drach as well. We'll be coming back again...and again!
It was our second visit in 8 months, so we rate it highly, and still do! The Bahia azul apartments are detached from the main Floriana complex, so are nice and quiet in the evenings. But you still have the use of the complex facilities, the pool especially ...

Lots of nice bars and restaurants around the resort. The 'Milano' Italian restaurant down by the seafront is superb. Also the 'Restaurante Asia Buffet' well worth a visit. Chinese buffet plus Japanese (sushi), Thailand and Vietnam. 'Yates' family bar and restaurant near the border with Cala Millor and 'The Sun Deck' in Cala Millor centre also very good for cheap good quality food and drinks. The beach at Cala Bona is OK but a lot of gravel and some seaweed. The beach at Cala Millor is much better and only about a 10 - 15 minute walk. Well worth taking a walk up to the 'Castell de sa Punta de n'Amer' on the headland that seperates Cala Millor from Sa Coma. Wonderful views from the castle and Sa Coma worth a visit too.
Virtually perfect. The studio that we stayed in was to a very high standard. The sofa beds were very comfortable. The air conditioning worked really well, all included in the price. We left it running all the time on the low fan setting which is very quiet....
Really liked Cala Bona, very child friendly, its all flat and is perfect for buggies and kids to walk about, really loved it here.

Excellent Holiday, despite a couple of days rain we had a fantastic holiday here with our two year old. I will not type out all the facilities as you can read them in all the other reviews, but, If you have babies, toddlers or young kids this is the place ...

Bonaire located about 5 min walk from the harbour of Cala Bona which is beautiful and full of restaurants. The best being Smithys - excellent food every night (ate there about 4 times), Janet and Johns also good and the Fish restaurant (a bit pricey) but lovely. Beware of the Chinese Restaurant - disgusting small portions of supposedly chinese food and dirty bowl and spoon for my 3 year old. Beach in Cala Bona small and shingle - lots of seaweed and rocks and not very safe for children as big drop when you walk in the sea. 20 mins walk along the front is Cala Millor beach - a lovely, safe, shelving sandy beach - much better and safer for little feet!, although quite a long walk with two young children in the sun. All in all good resort and lovely harbour but would prefer the beach a bit closer. Would return in the future.
Just returned from Bonaire for the second time (went last June) with children aged 6 ans 3. Thomson reps work day and night with so much energy and fun and provide non stop entertainment for everyone (especially Awesome Ant the biggest kid of all). Two pl...
