Excellent Holiday, despite a couple of days rain we had a fantastic holiday here with our two year old. I will not type out all the facilities as you can read them in all the other reviews, but, If you have babies, toddlers or young kids this is the place to come. 10 out of 10 for us and we WILL be returning next year without shadow of a doubt, very well maintained complex, superb facilites for kids, excellent dining room - even if you booked Self Catering you can buy dining room vouchers from the reception for breakfast or evening meal which this year were 15 Euros per Adult and its a full buffet all very fresh and lots of choice. Thomson Creche facility was excellent as were the staff, fully qualified to Nursery nurse Level 3 standard, very friendly confident girls who were fab with the kids...15Euros for a 2 hour session..pricey we thought at first but, money well spent...we used Creche 3 times in the end. Absolutely suberb place. Pool Bar could be better, pretty pricey for soft drinks which were syrupy and only junk food on offer and the ice creams there were very pricey, thats our only moan...we didnt eat there, we found a nice place to eat about 5-6 mins walk away along the front called Cafe Nautic, more authentic, but sold Baguettes and hot sandwiches which was perfect for lunch...and delicious coffee. Food seems to have gone up a lot in the supermarkets which is a shame but cant be helped. Also if your kids are Marmite freaks then bring some with you as I couldnt find it here!!!

Just returned from Bonaire for the second time (went last June) with children aged 6 ans 3. Thomson reps work day and night with so much energy and fun and provide non stop entertainment for everyone (especially Awesome Ant the biggest kid of all). Two play areas for children (a new one for this year has been added for toddlers) which is under a gazebo to prevent getting hot - great idea. Sand pit area with some rides and plenty of buckets and spades. Indoor soft play area as well. Fair size toddler pool and massive adult pool but freezing cold (poor weather hasn't heated it up yet). Rooms pretty basic for a 4star - tiny kitchen area, not even enough room to make a sandwitch. Maid service excellent and fresh towels most days. Poolside snack bar good food and service although ice creams expensive! Entertainment in evening (Thomson kids show) starts at 815 and is pretty much the same every night although kids loved it, and the adult entertainment starts at 2130 which was pretty good most nights as well. Harbour about 5 mins walk - beautiful and nice sandy beach about 20min walk. Beach nearby awful, rocky and shingle and full of seaweed. All in all good hotel and excellent facilities for children - and if they're happy, we're happy! Would definatelty return in a few years, can't go wrong with this one!

We have just had a very good week at the Bonaire. The hotel was very good with a lovely pool area, which although was very busy you good always find a quiet spot. The entertainers worked hard and were enthusiastic. A great place for children of all ages. Plently of organised activities and good facilities. We had a few lunches at the poolside bar and although the menu was limited could always find something to suit. The portions were very large and some meals were better than others. The price of lunch time meals was reasonable although ice creams were about 3 times the price of ice creams bought outside the hotel. The hotel is close to local shops and restaurants.

Cala Bona has enough restaurants to give plenty of choice and Cala Millor is only about 20 minutes stroll away. We enjoyed the food, especially the pizzas, at Chiri's and had a great paella at El Pescador. Thassalas has a good menu for lunchtime eating an...

The Bonaire aparthotel is a fantastic place to stay. Apartment was well maintained, spotlessly clean and the hotel staff were very friendly - we even met up with a former waiter of the Don Jaime Hotel we visited 20 years ago who is now the restaurant manager (great person).

The pool was crystal clear, although a bit cold since it was November so we didn't venture in! The indoor pool and jacuzzi were fabulous for a spot of relaxation before dinner.

The Thomson reps (Chris and Carly) and the entertainment managers (Helen and Mark) were fabulous - entertainment arranged every day from quizzes, bowls and walks to bingo each night and some great entertainment. The hotel is located towards the end of the resort, but only a 5 minute walk to Cala Bona harbour. The resort itself was pretty quiet at this time of year, but it was just what we needed to get away and relax. However, there was plenty to do in the hotel and a great choice of activities and excursions on offer. We took an excursion to Palma - taking in the cathedral and a sightseeing tour which included a visit to a local leather shop and bodega where you could try local liqueurs before buying.

The food was excellent - with a choice of full English or continental breakfast each morning, and a choice of starters, main courses and desserts in the evening - you could help yourself to as much as you liked. Restaurant staff were always very cheerful and helpful and you never had to wait more than a couple of minutes for a table to be made ready.

Rooms were cleaned five out of seven days and fresh linen and towels left.

Reception staff had excellent English, but it was good to try out a few Spanish phrases, even though we're not too good at them. Bar staff and waiters - particularly Dani and Oskar - were all great.

Cala Bona is a beautiful place, right next to Cala Millor and it's gorgeous beaches. We tried a few local places to eat - Osiris bar in Cala Millor offers a lovely strawberry flan. As we were half board, we only really went out for lunch. Champions bar in Cala Bona (an English bar) serves wonderful club sandwiches and cheesy chips!! A great place to eat if you have fussy kids in tow. All in all we were made to feel very welcome and would heartily recommend this aparthotel to all. We are looking forward to our next visit.

We spent a wonderful week at the Bonaire Aparthotel. The weather for late September was reasonable. 4 hot sunny days, and 3 warm sunny days with showers. We stayed self catering which worked well for us. We would agree with previous comments that there was not much work surface area in the kitchen but as we only had breakfast and snacks in the apartment this was not a problem. Supermarkets are within easy reach (less than 5 minutes walking).

There are plenty of facilities for the children. Our son was especially keen on the soft play area, which came in very handy for the wet days. There was also a sand pit and outdoor slides, along with pool tables and internet access. There are children’s clubs which seem very well run by the hard working Thompson’s staff. We did not book our son into the crèche, but having seen the staff and facilities would be happy to do so.

The ThompsonÂ’s reps work hard to keep the kids entertained in the evening. As one of the previous reviews says the kidÂ’s entertainment is very similar each night, however all of the children we saw really enjoyed it. A very good word also goes to the hotel staff who were all very friendly and helpful from the reception staff, cleaners, waiters and gardeners.

The apartments themselves were well laid out and kept clean. My only complaint, and this is being picky, was that we did not have much of a view from our apartment. We were on the first floor of block 2 and so could only see the roof of the hotel restaurant, but that is a minor complaint.

The hotel pool was huge with plenty of sun beds available, however we found the pool to be quite cold! We preferred to go to the beach and swim in the sea. Next to the pool is a bar serving drinks and snacks. There is a restaurant in the hotel complex, which seemed to have a wide selection however we did eat in there. There were so many places to choose from out in Cala Bona and Cala Millor. Amongst the places we tried were Snoddys, and SmithyÂ’s bar. We did not get around to eating at the London Inn or Janet and Johns although both looked to have good menus.

The beach at Cala Millor is lovely sloping gently and with lifeguards on duty. However it does get very busy so get there early to reserve a sun bed and parasol. We hired a car from Avis at Cala Millor booked via the internet before we travelled. We drove to Palma and spent a pleasant day walking around the city, and a day travelling to the north coast through Alcudia, and Puerto Pollensa to Cap de Formentor. A very hairy drive, but with some wonderful views on the way.
