"The best family break"

Overall Hotel Rating:

We have rented the same two bed apartment for the last 3 years. Friendly neighbours, excellent pool(s), well kept grounds, top quality complex. No noise at night and only the noise from people having a good time during the day. Easy walk to the excellent Eroski supermarket and a couple of very good local restaurants. We ate well. Drinks were more reasonably priced in 2009 than in previous years. Yes, we will be going back again this year.

Very good family complex.

"A lovely quiet relaxing complex"

We stopped in a 3 bedroomed 2 bathroomed house which was lovely for us as we had gone away with my 18mth old daughter & my dad. So we had the downstairs & my dad had the upstairs. The kitchen had everything we needed & the room was big enough for us all. The TV didn't work at all but we went out every night so not a big problem. The pools were fantastic & not very busy so felt like we had it all to ourselves at times. The main pool which has a few different sections to it is brilliant & very pretty. All the pools were very clean & I often saw the pool man sorting them out int he morning. The only problems we did find was that some of the grates around the baby pool were very rusty & 1 even had bars missing which a toddler/kid could easily fall down if not being careful and that some of the tiles were cracked/broken & again if not being careful could cause an accident. The complex itself does look a bit tired in places & could do with a lick of paint.

We booked our apartment through the internet. It was a three bedroom house with two bathrooms. It had its own garden, and we were overlooking the pool. Cala Egos has plenty to offer. there is plenty to do and see. We ate out most of the time and the places we ate at were very nice.

As a family, we especially liked Marvels where we had breakfast. Steve and Carol own Marvels and Steve cooks a blinding breakfast. There are playstion 2 for the children to play on, pool table, and they have colouring books etc for the children to use. They are a very friendly couple who welcome families with children young and old. Marvels is a little bit off the beaten track, but if you are walking towards the Marina, or the beach you will find them on the corner. They are next door to a popular Spanish Restaurant Rincon de Pepe. If you are going to Cala Egos go and give them a visit you will not be disappointed.

Accommodation at Marina dor 2 was absolutely superb, pools and gardens were beautiful. Apartement was very clean, spacious and had a lovely view of the other pools.
A 30min slow stroll with two small children round the fantastic Marine took us to a superb ";chill out"; bar/cafe called ";SCHOONERS"; owned by Angie and Alan, both of whom are a very warm and friendly couple who will go out their way to make you very welcome,I would advise you to try there tasty lunchtime menu which is excellent value for money and very tasty, also the best choice of coffee's in Cala Dor.
