Cala Egos was probably the downside to our holiday in that it's totally purposes built with little character. There is however a good choice of bars and restaurants within close proximity. The village area is literally 2 mins walk from the hotel. You can ...
Cala Egos was probably the downside to our holiday in that it's totally purposes built with little character. There is however a good choice of bars and restaurants within close proximity. The village area is literally 2 mins walk from the hotel. You can also get to Cala Dor - 5.5 Euros by taxi or take the novelty train. Cost for 2 adults and 2 children was 12 Euros on the train. Nice little trip as it takes you around the marina area of Cala Dor - a chance to view the mass of private yachts/boats on show in the harbour. Rather foolishly we also walked into Cala Dor which took us a good 45 mins. Not the most picturesque walk as along the main road all you see is a mass of villa/apartment developments. Cala Dor itself didn't seem to us to be anything special yet we only walked around for an hour and had a drink so our opinion is probably not the best to be led by!

Cala Egos is a a small triangle of sand between three hotels. There are some great beaches nearby but too far to walk.
