"Lovely resort"
Overall Resort Rating:
Lovely resort, tho along way from the airport, over one hour, lots to do, with bars, the square, the little train that takes you to Cala d'or, markets and lovely walks.

"relaxing and freindly"
Overall Resort Rating:
We love this resort and have been returning for several years,it is a family friendly resort, night life is available but you would not realise it if you were walking around the resort after 11pm, the noise is kept to a minimum for the comfort of every one. There are enough retaurants for you to choose a different one each night for 14 days, the ones to avoid are Yates, the steak house and the indian opposite Yates, the food prices look reasonable but once inside there are hidden extra's and the drinks are expensive, the staff are not very friendly or helpful either and the food tastes prepacked and low quality, places to eat good value well cooked food are Tony's, The Chinese,Beatrix's,Tennis club and our favorite for outstanding value, service qualitie and friendliness is The Corner Bar the staff are excellent and if something is not on the menu but they have the ingriedients they will cook it,Pepe and Alex are the best waiters i have ever come across and we like to travel and eat out.

"quiet resort"
Overall Resort Rating:
Very quiet resort with a few shops and restaurants. Watch out for the Yates bar which was quite expensive, a lager and a half price cocktail cost 7 euros as against 4.50 at Daniels. Not a lot for younger people, however the road train into Cala dor is only 3.50 each return, or a taxi 5.50 each way, and around 6 euros at night.

"Lovely little resort"
Overall Resort Rating:
A fab little resort a short taxi ride away from the larger resort of cala d'or. Would recommend a walk down to the Fort and to the Marina. It is on the quiet side and most suited to families and couples but the little coves are gorgeous and there are a few nice little restaurants. While we were there there was a Jazz festival which added a nice touch to a couple of evenings.

"Lovely little town"
Overall Resort Rating:
Cala Egos is a nice little town, just a two minute walk from the Hotel Marina Corfu. Plenty of shops and bars and a couple of beaches. Cala D'Or is a 5.5 euro taxi ride away and well worth the visit. People had warned about jellyfish in the sea, but we didn't see any. Lovely little resort.

"Nice compact resort"
Overall Resort Rating:
Beach is small but picturesque - not overcrowded. Resort is compact & fairly quiet but has everything & also not overcrowded. Hunt down the Euroski supermarket behind Cala Egos Square. It's a Lidl-type place & much cheaper than the Spars on the main road. Beware of Napoli restaurant on the street corner from Club Marthas. If you eat here, be VERY VERY careful how you order. There was a (slight) misunderstanding when the waiter brought out strawberries instead of strawberry ice cream. When the mistake was realised, I told him in Spanish 'Helado de fresa' (just to be helpful) and he started snatching plates and cutlery and basically completely lost it, scaring our kids. No we, can't speak much Spanish, but didn't think we needed to when the waiter's English seemed to be very good. Also watch out for a scam in Yates's pub: we wanted to share 1 cooked breakfast between two small children, but were told we would need to pay a 2 euro 'surcharge' to do so - needless to say we didn't hang around - funny way to drum up business!

"first time here but not the last!"
Overall Resort Rating:
Certainly not for the party animals but has everything you need for a great family holiday. Shops and bars and a good supermarket within a few minutes walk of the hotel. The beach and cove are sooooo pretty!

"Something for Everyone"
Overall Resort Rating:
Cala Egos is a great base. It has a calm, safe feel about it with some nice restaurants and bars. Cala D'or is just a 10 minute walk through the Marina and is much more lively, if that's what you're looking for with lots of bars, restaurants and a lovely beach. The bus service is excellent and cheap and just around the corner from the hotel. The resort beach is narrow and very long but you can always find a space and the waters are clear and warm. Porto Petro is just a 10 minute ride away with some nice restaurants and bars. All in all a fantastic base for families with children of all ages. Kids absolutely love the Western Water Park which is quite a distance but well worth it. The Ranche Grande is also a good night where you can relax on the Sangria Express or go trekking with the more able horseriders. The beach at Cala Mandrago is beautiful and only takes about 5 minutes by taxi, or 10 by bus, it has a nice snack bar/restaurant on the beach too. Sparkles is said to be the place to be until the early hours if you want to stay in the resort, otherwise a cab or a walk to Cala Dor is the next resort to head to. Club Marthas, Cala Egos. Try it. Like so many others, you'll be back!

"Quiet resort"
Overall Resort Rating:
The resort was very quiet don't know whether it was the financial situation or the time of year but everyone was saying how much more expensive things were. The beach was kept clean and tidy but unfortunately the sea had jelly fish visiting most days so beware.

"Cala Egos"
Overall Resort Rating:
Beaches are fantastic. Cala Egos is like a small resort before the main resort. Plenty of shops, bars and restaurants, a little market square, go karting and a pharmacy which came in handy when I got prickly heat! Nice and clean resort! Love it!!
