There's plenty of shops, bars and restaurants and a beautiful port/marina area. It's excellent for a stroll around in the evening and there's a local market on in the afternoon next to the boats and yachts. Plenty of restaurants here, Chinese, Indian, Italian, Spanish, Mexican as well as fish & chips, steakhouses and fresh barbecues too. The beach is beautiful, not too overcrowded and the water is clean shallow and safe for kids. There's a good choice of watersports to pick from if you like that sort of thing.

A very quiet resort with a nice selection of hotels.

A handful of nice restaurants and bars and is fairly close to palma.

The resort itself is very small and quite hilly, so maybe not suitable for those with mobility difficulties.

There is a small commercial centre which has a couple of bar and few boutiques, banks and a spar. On the main road leading to the commercial centre, there a few boutiques and cafes and bars. There are a small amount of restaurants, one of which is a chinese, which is very reasonable.

Our favourite bar was The Rose Mallow in the commercial centre, which was more pricey than the other bars, but lovely to sit out, and Sloanes on the main road. We also liked Sorrento's which is opposite the hotel, we only drank there, but you can eat also, and the setting was lovely.

You can expect to pay between 3.50 euros and 5.50 euros for a large beer, depending where you go. This resort is more expensive than other resorts in Majorca, but we thought this was a good thing as you don't get the lager louts or clubbers in this resort, which makes it that more upmarket.

The resort was very quiet as we went in April,but by the looks of things in peak season would probably not be very lively. Not many eating and drinking places. More for the elderly or people who like it really quiet.

Illetas is a very upmarket area. It is more suited to couples on holiday looking to get away from it all. There is not a great deal to do in the immediate area, but there are several fine restaurants and beaches so if that is all you want then you can't go wrong. It is also a great base to explore the rest of the island. You have Magaluf and Palma Nova to the west for the more lively people and Palma city to the east. Palma is a great place to explore and the bus service stops outside the hotel and takes on 15min to centre of Palma.

As said in other reviews, Illetas isn't really a great destination, but the siting of its hotels provides some stunning sea views. The cove is nice and worth the walk down the hill for the La Terrazas bar / club at the back of it. Very good service, nice views and really very good food at a sensible price.

Illetas is much of a muchness - a quiet and smart suburb rather than a resort, so if you're looking for a strip of bars and restaurants, you're in the wrong place, however, as already mentioned, travel into Palma is quick, cheap and frequent on the excellent buses.

The resort of Illetas itself was very poor with one good resteraunt and very little else, the place was lacking spanish soul and catered for the European's too much with very little traditional spanish food/bars. The beach however, was beautifully kept and had two or three excellent beach bars with wonderful views. The transport links to Portals Nous and Palma were excellent, about 5E taxi and 1.80E bus ride. This is not a resort I would return too in the near future.
