"Good Base"
Overall Hotel Rating:
The location of this hotel makes it a great base for a holiday. Bars and cafes are close enough but not that close that you can't get to sleep. Beach and magalluf strip is only a 5 minute walk.
Pool was very big and had a nice shallow end to sit in and keep cool (there is also a separate children's section). Although you did get your usual early birds reserving sunbeds this seemed to be mostly round the pool. There was usually still some sunbeds stacked up in a corner where you just helped yourself.
Not too impressed with towel changing service. Room was spotless but I am sure we only got the maid once as we only seemed to have our towels changed once.
Evening entertainment was basic family entertainment. I think they also had a kids club twice per day.
Cooking facilities were very basic but not a problem if you tend to eat out.
Overall I thought this hotel was fine and would recommend it to others.

"Cracking holiday .... Yobs what Yobs?"
Overall Hotel Rating:
We booked here with some trepidation, what with all the bad press about Magaluf and reviews we read hre and elsewhere. It proved to be one ofthe best holidays we have had. The apartments were spotless, the general hotel areas were clean and the staff, from Receptionist to the cleaners were polite and very efficient. Evening entertainment was OK but we didn't really hang around for this.. because down the road about 200 yards was Benny Hills... my 3 young boys loved this bar and it was a battle to get them to leave some nights. Tom Browns is the best value place to eat.. a special recommendation to BIPS supermarket (next to Jokers Bar) dead cheap, a crate of 24 San Miguel 10 Euros. The pool is great, large, clean and there is a lifeguard in attendance all day. Overall, we had a fantastic time, and will be back next year, if not sooner. Special Mention to Thomson rep Ben, very conscientious, helpful and generally a nice guy.

"Sahara"
Overall Hotel Rating:
Treat this place as a base in the winter if you want somewhere cheap to see the island from.
In the summer it is party central.
Nice and big pool

"Bit dated now!"
Overall Hotel Rating:
A bit past its sell by date. It desperately needs a refurb, infact its long overdue. If you are looking for a cheap stay in Magaluf then you are sorted as its no frills accommodation at its best! The breakfast is good!

"Past its sell by date!"
Overall Hotel Rating:
I went to this hotel over 10 years ago and it hasn't changed one bit! I thought it would of changed since it's now supposed to be a family hotel. This hotel had quite a low balcony wall. Attached to the wall was a rather loose metal frame. If a child got onto one of the balcony chairs it doesn't bare thinking about! The room was reasonable but, the front door screws were hanging out, the bedroom balcony door wouldn't lock properly. The view from the 5th floor, road side were ok apart from the hotels bins, noisy fans and the smell of food. Being road side also meant that young party goers could be heard coming home at 3-4am. There was no air-conditioning (you can hire a fan) and no Television (you can hire a cd player). Hotel safe costs 3 euros a day (you have to carry a bulky key with your room number on it!). The hotel contained group of young adults, so not sure how this is supposed to be a family hotel? In the early hours of the morning kids were playing football in the corridors and couples were arguing in the room next to us at 2am, I could then hear the young woman throwing up in the toilet (nice). Also had a guest decide to start shouting extremely rude lanugage (the C word, etc) out on his balcony again in the early hours which required hotel staff to get involved. The pool was reasonable, but cold. Bit hazardous for youngsters as older kids were diving in (even though there was a signs saying no diving, the pool staff did nothing) and doing back flips. It was very difficult to get a sunbed round the pool. The hotel staff were friendly. Can't comment on the food as we ate out (We ate mainly at Tom Browns on the sea front). As you can probably guess from my review I wouldn't use this hotel again!! The beaches were beautiful, the sun lovely and hot. To hire 2 sun beds and a parasol cost 10.50 euros per day. Cigarettes are around 30 euros, but food, drink and perfume are about the same prices as in the UK. Next time I think Palma Nova would be a better choice. Hope my review helps.

"june 2009 holiday"
Overall Hotel Rating:
We booked this family holiday to fiesta sahara majorca with children aged 7 and 5, we read some bad reviews, but because this was a budjet holiday we decided to take a chance because thomson and first choice would only allow families to attend.( although single sex groups can book direct with the hotel) On arrival the reception staff were very friendly, and welcoming. Our room was basic, but without air conditioning, which was very humid during the night and the only respite was the ceiling fans in the lounge and bedroom, but was adequate for our holiday, a 2 ring cooker, fridge with small freezer space, also was very clean, and a nice size balcony with tables and chairs. Changing of towels and bed linen was very frequent, and cleanliness of hotel areas very good. Due to the current exchange rate of the Euro, eating out appeared to be expensive, so we opted for the hotels special half board rates. The restaurant we found to be really nice, although the food menu was limited, everything was fantastic, full English breakfast, and evening meal, as much as you can eat! Very Good Value,...Also the waiters were very attentive to your every need. The Hotel rules state that you cannot eat or drink anything in the pool area that has not been purchased in the bar,...the bar prices were very expensive, example: pint of beer 2.90e ....glass of wine 3.00e. a small slush puppy 2.60e. If you were spotted drinking your own outside purchased drinks, 'like a lot of peole did' they would be confiscated! Location was very good, only 5 mins from the beach, and 2 mins from restaurants and bars. On our last day, the Hotel Tropical which is situated opposite and is penultimately 18 -30's was getting full, and they were starting to send the overspill into the fiesta sahara! Say no More! On the whole, we had a really good holiday in the fiesta sahara, but just beware that if you have a young family, then i would suggest you avoid the peak seasons, because it seems that it would be a nightmare with 18-30's drunken antics, but most of all before you decide on your holiday, especially if you have young children,...remember that Magalluf is a well known night clubbing area, so what would you expect, perhaps a holiday in Menorca?

"Cheap & Cheerful and very busy in summer"
Overall Hotel Rating:
The Sahara is cheap and cheerful. Good value for money but basic, no frills accommodation. The food and bar is ok, but you do have the whole of Magaluf on the doorstep so its not really an issue!

This hotel is cheap and cheerful. Nice big pool. Bars and restuarants all in walking distance. I would use this as a base rather than a home for the holiday.

"Okay"
Overall Hotel Rating:
This hotel was okay but was cheap as chips, me and my 8 year old daughter stayed for a week and she loved it, plenty to do and see, right in the heart of everything but it was noisy at night, no air conditioning and the fan sounded like it was about to take of. Food was okay for half board, nothing special.

"Okay I suppose"
Overall Hotel Rating:
This hotel was really good if you were 18 and wanted a wild holiday, if like me, a single mum of an 8 year old girl it was a bit of a nightmare, the rooms were too hot, no air con and you couldn't leave the fans on because it sounded like an aircraft taking off. Hotel is in a prime opsition but overlooks one of the busiest nightclubs on the Island BCM and at 4am is noisier than an aircraft taking of. Food was okay, I've had beter, really cheap last minute deal, you get what you pay for????
