The rooms were very small and so is the pool but overall the staff and accommodation were good. The hotel was kind of out the way but only cost 5 euros from Magalluf ad a short walk from Palma Nova town.; There is hotel Martiniez which you could access their pool seemed bigger and didn't seem to be for party animals more for couples

when we arrived they did not have our booking persuaded to stay over night not enjoyable at all but next day paid extra and was moved to santa ponsa wich was great we do not fuss too much on anything on our holiday cause lets face it it's just to sleep in but this was not good even for that.before you book think twice honestly!!!!!!!!!!

Well we arrived at the Gill and Gabarda Hotel in the early hours of the morning to be told we could not book in until 12 the next day !!! after my girlfriend and I insisted we stay here the night they finally let us into our room.

The room was dirty and scabby with a very dodgy fan on the ceiling and NO fridge (which was promised on booking). The room was tatty and the bed was broken, the walls were thin and the door was so thin i could have punched a hole in it with my fist! we worried about no safe as we had been to palma nova before and had been broken into in another hotel, anyway we kept our money in the safe at reception.

The location is fantastic beaches etc. the food at the gill was rubbish and our holiday included breakfast which was supposed to be all day, check it out first, the first morning we had breakfast and had to pay for it!! we eat out after that. Had great time even tho accommodation was crap. Bin Maj 12 times now and always brill for nightlife in magaluf, went Chaplins, BCM, Red Lion, Lennons, etc. Green Parrot at the bottom of Magaluf is the best bar in Majorca. extremely funny djs. brill music. Manos is brill, benny hills for the kids.

I would never stay at this hotel ever again, if you do, take your own linen and bug spray!!!! 0/10 for cleanliness. etc. never felt safe. RUBBISH!!!!!

Just got back from a fab holiday in palma nova/magaluf... so good that we didnt wna come home.

Went wiv twentys and hada HOT rep called ben. Went on a few nites out wiv the twentys lot but didnt do the whole thing. Crusoes bbq was fun and also hada battle of the sexes nite, which us girlys won of course and you should defo go see the pirates show if u geta chance as it was amazing( as long as u dont mind queing for ages)That was the only downside!

We stayed in the gil which was the hotel next to the gabarda which was very average but better than we expected. Very basic. Basically a bed and a shower but hada big balcony which was good. Its ok for a wk. Shudnt b spendin much time in ur room neway. Sumwhere to sleep if u get home and sumwher to get ready 4 the nites out. Ther is no air con in ther so b prepared to get cooked. Its swelterin at nite. We had to hav all windows and doors open. The biggest prob for me was that ther was no fridge in the room unless u hire one for 49E which we didnt as all u fancy in the middle of the nite and wen u wake up in the mrnin is a nice chiiled drink.

24hr bar is good. Staff V.friendly. were told hotel food ws good but never tried it, always out and about. Swimmin pool is size of a paddlin pool so didnt go in ther but beach is fab and only a 10min walk. We were stayin in palma nova but magaluf only half hr walk which we did most nites and a taxi less than 5E. Try the banana joe bar. we had much fun in ther... and boomerang niteclub is a must!!! Wud defo go back but prob stay in a different hotel next time!!

we picked this as we heard it was set back from the strip so we could party at night and sleep in the day, hotel's first impressions are a little small, but once you go in its modern with great receptionist who spoke better english than me!! great food around the pool by a scottish cook. pool was weirdly situated and didnt really get much sun to it so it was always freezing.

rooms were nice enough very basic but not much needed or a party holiday, we were right next to the stairs on the first floor so alot of noice if ya get them kinds of rooms. when loungin through the day the hotel's bar and collection of sun loungers are so close together you get to meet people so by the end of your stay your goin out with the entire hotel on a night out,

excellent place to go if up for a laugh 24/7, be there in july 2006 with my 16 lads aswell, try lennon's bar at night, we got to know the owner and had quite a few drinks on the house!!

Well, where to start, well Ill let you in on a little secret first. I stowed away on this holiday, you see my two friends booked the holiday n I decided last minute to book a flight and join them.
Fortunatly, or unfortunatly when we arrived we were worried how to sneak me in... no worries we were in the gil, no problems there not the slightest bit of security and no-one around to stop me, and the two random fella's we met on the plane to come up to the room n stay (they had no where to go.)

The room was laughable, it was small and grubby an hot, I though id just walked into a blackpool bedsit (they even had the same flowery headboards and drab floral brown curtains) Now i've stayed in some dives in clubbing resorts but this was something else, the bathroom was so small the toilet was practically in the shower n the floor was as big as the hotel swimming pool when finished. (yes tiny pool is an understatement) Well, im not too fussy an as i hadnt paid for it i didnt care, but my friend was not happy, an (expecting an arguement went downstairs to complain) no fuss an some very friendly and helpful staff later we were moved down the road to the stunning Naika studios. (but this reviews not about them) but they were fab definetly worth the moan. (even got an extra bed hehe)

However im not sure if we got a dud room as we made loads of mates on this holiday an spent evry night bar one actually sleepin in the Gil and there rooms were so much bigger an cleaner, there balconys were big the shower fit two people (dont know how i no that). The staff were great, the 24hr bar was priceless they had saftey deposit boxes, the poolside (laugh pool laugh) food was gorgeous.

The hotel is miles away from the strip, one mornin took me nearly an hour to walk back ( i was a little worse for wear an u do get to walk along the sea front and jump in) but a taxi only cost about 5 euro which is class. Thankfully we werent with 20's but iv learnt my lesson long ago wit there stupid trips.
Magaluf is obviously THE best place on earth.
ps. O n the noise doesnt get too bad a night, but if you drop a bottle of vodka over the belocny you will get complained about. It was an accident)

We stayed at the Garbada Hotel, Palma Nova for the first two weeks in Sept'05. Whilst the atmosphere, other guests and staff (excluding the 20's reps) were great, our room in the annexe next to the hotel was awful. We can put up with basic accomodation which is what we expected, but we didn't expect it to be so dirty and scruffy. We were awoken every morning at around 8am by the local bin men emptying bins right under our room (which isn't great when you've only just gone to bed) and all three of us were bitten whilst we were there which we are pretty sure was by someething lurking in the room! The shower was freezing cold all the time and we had dirty sheets for days. THe pool was tiny and was in the shade for most of the day, luckily, the beach is really nice and not too far away.

The 20's reps were unhelpful and unfriendly and as it was nearly the end of the season, we got the impression they didn't want us to be there spoiling their last days there with their rep friends! Luckily, most of the trips were mixed with Freesytle, whose reps were a laugh and really friendly.

Although the hotel was so bad, we had a brilliant holiday and would recomment Palma Nova/Maguluf to any young people, just not with 20's holidays at the Garbada Hotel. Our advice would be - stick to 18-30's and not the copy cat companies!

If you're planning to go away for 2 weeks then I would totally recommend here, if you're only going for one week then choose somewhere in Magaluf itself.

The hotel was amazing! Fantastically clean, room was done at least every other day with clean towels left each time, once it was even done 3 days in a row! The staff were so friendly and really looked after you. The reception would call you a cab which would arrive in minutes, the 24hr bar staff were ace (very LARGE measures of alcohol!) and Christine, the cook, was brilliant! Her food was spot on and very reasonably priced for the amount you got and its all cooked to order so was really nice when you got it. The pool is small and doesn't get the sun until the afternoon, but most people didn't get up until after 2 anyway! Good for cooling off and dipping your feet in though. They also had UK TV channels and would put on whatever you wanted on one of the TVs though don't bother watching the next episode of your favourite programme in the evening cos you won't be able to hear it very well! The 2 pool tables outside and quiz machine swallowed many of our 1 euro coins too.

The resort of Palma Nova is wonderful! Not as lively as Magaluf, but had plenty of bars, restaurants and shops. The beach was absolutely gorgeous and wasn't a far walk to do some of the more adventurous things, banana boating etc. I would totally recommend a restaurant called 'Le Petite Cuisine', a bit more expensive but the food is fantastic! We went into Magaluf every other night and a taxi cost about 5 euros at the most (about £3.50) and they are dead easy to flag down when you need them. Bars to go to are: The Indie Bar in Mulligans (take a permanent marker), Poco Loco for cheese fans, if you fancy proper clubbing then pay 10 euros for a stamp to get in Bananas, Car Wash, Boomarangs and a fourth club, also boys, visit Coyote Ugly near BCM, just like the movie with all the on-the-bar dancing you can handle! For a proper night of it, make sure you visit BCM, you pay 24 euros to get in but all the bars are totally free. The music is mostly dance in the main room but downstairs is where the foam parties, popcorn parties and water parties take place every night - they are mental! If you go in before 12am or in the other BCM bar before 1am you get 5 free gifts every night! T-shirts, body boards, bags, hats, necklaces, pens, condoms, lilos, frisbees, loads of stuff! Most of us only brought home a couple of things, but it was ace! If you go after those times, you can still get the gifts but you have to pay 5 euros for a ticket, but if it's good gifts then go for it! If you're out and about in the day then there's no way you can miss a PR person and find out what the free stuff is that night.

The PR guys can get a bit annoying, they stand outside every bar on the main strip and try and get you into that particular pub. Try not to get too annoyed at them cos they're only doing they're job and most of them were only the same age as us and pretty cool if you got chatting to them.

Pirates is AMAZING! Get yourself there to one of the late night shows (Mon, Wed and Fri at 10.30pm) for free food, all the free sangria or coke you can drink, or very reasonable pitchers of larger. The show is fantastic! Everyone gets pretty drunk and are all singing and chanting along and it's great! Don't buy the tickets of your rep though, just get them from the tourist info places in Palma Nova, you can't queue jump or a bus, but its loads cheaper and the taxi isn't that much!

I've got nothing to say about the reps, if you went on all their trips then they were your best mates, but otherwise they didn't even say hi if they were stood next to you at the bar.

All-in-all I would recommend this hotel to anyone and everyone in our age group, and the resort to anyone, even families!

Magaluf is Great but if your staying at the Gabarda and Gil you have got a long walk ahead in to the night life in Magaluf it took us an hour to walk there. The hotel was terrible we were in the Gil with no security in that section there was some in the Gabarda, the floor was dirty and the doors on the rooms aren't safe at all, the ceiling fans didn't really work and you didn't feel safe to leave your window or door open at night.The bar was great it was open 24hrs! twentys reps were great and nights out were good with them also the heatwave reps were helpful.

Would defo go back and go with twentys again but would stay in Magaluf and defo look into the accommodation alot more.

The hotel and resort were excellent!! We went at the end of the season but had a fantastic time!! The hotel wasn't that full and everyone knew everyone in the hotel.

The staff were fantastic, especially our new best friend Christine! She was the cook and we chatted all the time to her, she called us her children and she was just great! The men behind the 24 hour bar made an effort to chat to you, and were friendly.

Our room was fairly big compared to some of the others we saw, but they were really decent for the price everybody paid!

The hotel is situated at the far end away from Magalluf, but its a great location as its only 3 or 4 euros in a taxi to Magalluf, yet quiet when u get in from a night out or want to relax!

The pool and the rep was our only let down!! The pool is quite small and didnt get much sun so was always freezing!! Especially in October it was impossible to get in it!! The rep was awful! When we arrived she asked us if she could give us our welcome meeting then cos she didnt want to get up in the morning to give it us at the right time! We agreed and then she was so arrogant, and was more interested in the TV than in us. Didnt look at us once and repeatedly stopped talking to us so that the TV was getting all of her attention! She had no interest in the wellfare of the guests!

Besides these it was a fantastic holiday and I would recomend this hotel and resort to anyone looking for a fantastic holiday!!

we had a wicked time in magaluf and palma nova last year it was awesome! we are gonna go aagain to the same hotel in late july!!!! would recommend a group of single young tasty ladies who are thinkin about booking, to book now!!!!! we will see u there! there is 8 of us goin this year so will see u there girls.

the hotel was really clean and tidy, the food there was great. all the staff were really useful and would do anything for you, it wasnt too big but it had everything you needed, it had a 24 hour bar and a really nice young atmosophere ideal for groups of freinds having a gd time, the resort is excellent you can sleep on the beach and party at night.
recommend you stay especially you ladies!

Magiluf is a fab place and we had the best time ever!

The only good thing about the accomodation though was the 24hr bar! The rooms were small and dirty and the only chance of a clean towel was to steal them from the maid! Staff seemed nice and quite helpful until the last day when we were checking out and we were charged for damages in the room that were already there when we arrived, so be sure to report any as soon as you get there!!

Would go back to Magiluf in a minute but would choose my accomodation more carefully!!

It wasnt the most beautiful hotel in the world but had 24 hour bar!

The room that me and two others stayed in was above the pool big huge veranda. Food was nice enough too keep us from starving!

But if anybody needs help there the first too help(not the reps they were dreadful)

But the staff emailed my boss as i worked for First Choice too get one of my friends home as something horrible had happened at home.

But overall the hotel and the staff were brill first class but the saying does go u get what u pay 4!!!
