My husband and I have holidayed in Puerto Pollensa for the past 7 years and enjoy the slower pace of this resort. We are not really beach people, but they always look clean and full with people so must be good. We did notice a increase in the cost of food and drink this year so we did shop about a bit at different bars and restaurants.

We have just arrived back from a week at the villa concha in Puerto Pollensa. We had a great time. The Villa Concha is a self-catering apartments suited to all people (we obviously went out of the main season and so could imagine it would get noisy). The...

A nice, low level resort with beautiful beaches.

A bit quiet for teenagers - no discos and clubs (that we discovered anyway), but plenty of restaurants and bars.

Food can be pricey eating out.

Easy access by bus or rental car to all surrounding towns and villages - the drive to Sa Calobra (mountainous, steep sided, narrow hairpins) has to be driven to be believed, but its worth it.

Walk over the hill (easy walk for about 1 hour) to cala sant vicenc for another picture postcard village.

A quieter resort, but lovely all the same.

OverallGood Hotel

Had 2 top floor (2nd floor) apartments for 2 weeks.

The Bellamar is the yellow painted block of about 29 apartments, situated right on the beach and about 15 minutes walk from the centre of town.

The apartments themselves are basic (they don't p...

Just returned from a 2 week stay at the Puerto Azul Hotel - travelling with my husband and 2 year old daughter.

Rooms basic standard that you will find on any package - not brilliant, but suited to their purpose. Fridge available for hire - 32 Euro...

"Villa Plus"

Submitted in October 2008 by: Linda Noble

Operator: Villa Plus

Puerto Pollensa is okay ... not as beautiful as Old Pollensa but we had taken my 17 year old stepson and his friend who wanted the nightlife. There are some lovely places to eat, particularly on the backstreets - traditional food, very reasonably priced.

In our opinion, Villa Plus rented out this Villa unfinished. The holiday representative certainly wasn't checking the maintenance, cleanliness and general upkeep of the villa. It cost over £2000 for one week and Villa Plus are now refusing to compensate us...

Very pretty resort with several beaches and a lovely harbour. The scenery is stunning and there plenty of places to visit. Car hire is not necessary as the buses are cheap, regular and air conditioned (usually). Eating out can be expensive compared with the UK but there are restaurants that do 'specials'. Found a chinese that did a 3 course for 9 euro. Lots of perfume shops and expensive boutiques. Couple of larger supermarkets. Not much evening entertainment - familes tend to walk along the promenade (Pine Walk) and eat out quite late. Resort popular with cyclists and walkers.
