There is a good night life just down the road and a beutifal beach round the corner. The location of santa ponsa is great we went to the pirate show and water parks in magaluf and palma nova which are a 10 minute taxi ride or 20 minutes on the bus. Taxi only cost 7euro.

We travelled as a mixed group from small children to some of us who wanted to party. There was plenty for us all to do. I'dall highly recommend the Water Park near Magaluf. It was approximatly a 20 minute drive by bus from Santa Ponsa but you have to arrange your own travel back. Taxi cost me 35 euro. We stayed in the Plazamar Apartments very clean hotel and welcoming staff, food was fine. Apartment was basic but on the ground level just by the pool. The Irish bars are great, there is a cocktail bar which serves non alcoholic cocktails for minors and free shots to adults. Only negative comment is the SMOKING which people were allowed to do everywhere? As it is banned in UK I've gotten used to going out and not worrying about someone lighting up but no matter where you went there was always someone blowing smoke in your direction. please Spain get in line with the rest of Europe. So for this reason I do not think it is entirly a family orientated resort!

A great nightlife, plenty of bars to choose from. Watch out for the expensive over rated ones. GOOD BARS WERE, Shamrock, Danielle Corner, Funkys and The Lucky Lep

Great beach, good balance of shops nightlife, looked clean out and about. easy to get to. I would recommend this place to just about anyone.

Before deciding on a holiday in Santa Ponsa, we researched the area well on the Internet: Looking at other peoples reviews and comments, and looking on Google Earth - trying to get a 'feel for the area'. I have to say we really were very impressed with the place, with its marvelous bay, a lovely sandy beach, shops and restaurants.

The bus service is also very good - where you can travel around quite cheaply - and there is actually a direct bus going right into Palma (this one is VERY quick - but the other one takes you through all the villages and this takes 1 1/2 Hours).

Santa Ponsa Square is very nice also in the evening time - where you will find live entertainment each evening. There you can sit down with a nice bear and enjoy something different each time you go down ( See www.santaponsasquare.es/ ).

This is probably not the place to go if you are in that '10-30' category, but for the rest of us this is one very nice place to stay (we stayed in the Punta Del MAr - also highly recommended).

The Beach and surrounding area of Santa Ponsa is beautiful. If you have families stay away from the strip, as this is for young Lads and Lassess drinking till they couldn't drink anymore. The smell of sick and the sight of broken plants pots was not for me and my family. if you go stay near the beach or the surrounding areas.

The resort is ideal for families and people that want a nice balance between having a bit of nightlife and a nice relaxing time.

I would rate this resort a 10 out of 10 because there is a million things to choose from everyday. Also the resort can be very lively if that is what you want.

We have just returned from a fortnight in Santa Ponsa, and had a very nice time, but it seemed a little quieter than it would normally be in August. There were plenty of bars near our hotel, especially Irish bars, and although there were one or two which were always busy, there were lots more with hardly anybody in. Having said that, we were only normally out til approx 11.30pm, so may have livened up later on, as there were quite a few groups of youngsters about. Didn't see any rowdiness, and resort is family friendly. If you walk a little further out, there are lots of restaurants etc which are aimed more towards families. Lots of people there with young children. Various bouncy castles etc around the place. We were staying half board in a hotel, so didn't eat out very much so can't really comment on the cost of meals out, but drinks were quite expensive. A large beer cost anything up to 3 euros 30, but different bars had different offers, such as two drinks for price of one happy hour or cheaper drinks before 10pm etc. Some places further out were cheaper. Beaches were very nice, but quite expensive to hire loungers and umbrellas - 3euros 50 each, so cost us 14 euros a day for 3 loungers and one umbrella. Choice of boat trips available from the beach. We did a two hour trip costing 12 euros each, which was very good.

The beech is average the town its self is full of irish bars can be a bit noisey at night when they start to close , resturants are average , this area is not for a relaxing holiday I would not go back

The choice of eating out is what is most impressive. So many places to go and try. Also the massive clean beach and the people. They are friendly and very welcoming.

This has got to be the tackiest place I have ever been outside Blackpool. It is a concrete monstrosity with rubbish shops and tacky bars. If you want to get really drunk and sunburnt its pretty good. The Irish seem to love it for some reason!

The resort of Santa ponsa is actually very good. There is something for everybody and it has lots of good choices to eat at and a great beach. Nice resort. Shame about the hotel.

We all really thought Santa Ponsa was a winner. From the beach to the food to the people to the weather! Not far from the airport either and good for all the main attractions Mallorca has to offer.
