"Love Santa Ponsa"
Overall Resort Rating:
I have been to Santa Ponsa twice and I would go again. Resort has plenty of bars and restaurants (fat sams should def get a visit). It is located near other resorts if you fancy nightclubing, mini golf and waterparks etc. Would reccomend Santa Ponsa for families as the square provide evening entertainment which not all resorts would have.

"Jardin de Mar"
Overall Resort Rating:
Santa Ponsa is excellent for families. If you go to "The Square" in the evenings there is free entertainment (mainly tribute bands ABBA, Bee Gees, Drifters, etc), comfortable seating and kids having a 'whale of time'. The resort attracts mainly Irish & Scottish holiday makers and part of Santa Ponsa is saturated with 'The Swinging Haggis bar', 'Mother Murphy's Kitchen', etc. The beach is cleaned every morning and if you look hard enough there are some very good restaurants. Easily reached from the airport and a good setting off point for the west coast mountains and coves which are magnificent.

"A nice relaxing holiday"
Overall Resort Rating:
Santa Ponsa ....is a family orientated place. Lots of restaurants to choose from. Stay clear of the 1's with the views of the sea as the prices are over inflated and the food bad...you pay for the view. Crodilloes was by far the best place to eat and was packed within 30 minutes of opening and had queues.
There are lots of street entertainers of an evening on the main strip, and most are very good.
I will say that we were there for 2 weeks and half way through the second week the town was getting boring. Defo not for youngsters who want nightlife.

"Better Than Ever"
Overall Resort Rating:
Santa Ponsa is one of those resorts where if you want it quiet you can have just that, but if you want it abit rowdy then you can have that as well. The beach is excellent, the sea like a pond sunbeds and sunshades 3 euros each and Kennedy the sunbed man ,is a cabaret act always laughing and happy. Night life is good try the square tribute acts every night, and do not miss Dylan Cassidy he is Rod Stewarts double, and he is fantastic, for a quiet drink try the beach bar oposite Burger King, yes you are actually on the beach with a stunning view across the bay.

"Santa Ponsa has a bit of everything"
Overall Resort Rating:
There are two contrasting areas, as at one end of the town is where the majority of the bars and 'nightclub' were --- as our hotel was in a quiet area.
The beach was brilliant - kept very clean - plenty of sunbeds if needed cost - ?
Supermarket close by and very reasonable - could see the cost of things had risen because of the exchange rate and costs do generally go up wherever you are.

"Nice Resort"
Overall Resort Rating:
I thought Santa Ponsa was really nice and much nicer than other guides i'd read. I would recommend staying here if you're looking for something away from the crowds but not a million miles away from the action - so basically young couples would enjoy a holiday in Santa Ponsa.
The beach is very very nice as well.

"ok"
Overall Resort Rating:
Santa Ponsa is a good base, it is near the airport but not very typical Spanish and had no charm about it. A few good Irish bars which were fun.

"Sedate"
Overall Resort Rating:
A peaceful sedate resort, with plenty of shops & restaurants. There was a noisier area for children( the square) and a bar/club area for young adults. We steered clear of both of these, finding our "Shirley Valentine" corner, which was amazingly quiet. Keep walking along the prom as if you were going to the jetty to get a mini cruise - more on it later - and it is under a hotel at the end of the beach. We drank Colorado Peach cocktails as our night caps every evening. Protect yourself against the mosquitoes. Captain Birds-Eye has a stand just opposite the hotel. Make sure you book on the 5/6 hour cruise with paella & sangria included: excellent value at 22 euros. Do it before you go on any other trips. It is wonderful. Put on plenty of sunblock and keep topping it up even if you are brown already. We organised our own trip to Soller & the Port of Soller - if you watch the Majorca programme on Sky, it shows the little open window train that you go on. We had to go from Santa Ponsa to Palma by taxi, because the buses were full by the time they reached us. With 4 people it only cost 23 euros altogether, each way. It worked out slightly cheaper than the organised trip 44, instead of 60 euros, but we did not do the boat trip - it is probably worth going on the organised one. Beware the free blanket promotion trip unless you just want to see more of the island. It is supposed to be a half day, but finishes at 4.30.
The half day Andratx and Port of Andratx is worth going on, but the boat trip calls in at the Port anyway.
If you like healthy eating - like salads and no bread there is nowhere to get them except at the hotel.

"Not a bad place"
Overall Resort Rating:
No worries here, the resort was buzzing with football on every available TV for the European Championships. Very good atmosphere at night with plently of places to have a drink. The kids also loved rumaging through the souvenir shops.
Eating out was a challenge with young kids as they would be limited to burgers or sausages and chips for the entire holiday in most locations. The food quality in most was poor. I had to return an entire meal in Mrs Murphy's Kitchen as the meat appeared uncooked in the middle.
However, one place outshone all the rest. 'Amigos' Mexican Restaurant. Excellent food, excellent service, excellent beer, you can't go wrong here even with the kids meals and extra starters and a round of beers and soft drinks and ice creams at around €70 all in.
Generally a good atmosphere around the town even till the early hours.

"Mediocre Resort "
Overall Resort Rating:
Resort - The resort was quite divided. One part was quite brash, lots of scottish/irish bars which attracted the younger end. There was an area called " The Square" which catered for families, had nightly entertainment which everyone seemed to enjoy. The other part of the town had more quieter bars which overloooked the harbour - beautiful views of the bay!
Santa Ponsa has a beautiful, clean beach. No rubbish, obviously well maintained.

"Great place - we loved it"
Overall Resort Rating:
Santa Ponsa is a lovely resort very family orientated, far removed from the hustle & bustle of MAGULLUF, Jardin Del Mar is located about 3 minutes away from 'SQUARE DEL JARDIN' where there a nightly shows, tribute bands & acts for kids & adults alike - remember to bring those pennies as 2 drinks is around 10 euros in current climate which is more expensive that city centre back home. Eating out in resort doesn't seemed too bad average cost 50-60 euro for family of four.
Beach goregous & Santa Ponsa had many coves.
