Santa Ponsa Holiday Reviews

Santa Ponsa is a great family resort, we wouldn’t hesitate to book it again. Beach is lovely, a nice little bay. There are some nice restaurants, all child friendly and a few shops. A trip over to Paguera, not too far away, is nice.

We made a mistake going to Santa Ponsa - it appears to be aimed at young families and teenagers not as the brochure advised " a resort built around a fishing village". We expected a Cala d'Or type resort - two streets were acceptable to ourselves but the others were full of "faux" irish taverns - okay if you want that type of holiday. On the Spanish side there wear a number of good restaurants overlooking the sea ( not cheap) but without these our holiday would have been a disaster

Santa Ponsa is very well situated for visiting Palma (5.6o euros each way or 23 euros by taxi) & Portals Nous Marina (12 euros by taxi)where the millionaires (sorry billionaires) park their yachts.

Clean, safe and friendly. Plenty of places to eat and drink. Beautiful beach. Great resort for all ages.

We liked Santa Ponsa. The kids loved the beach, we liked the coast and there is plenty in the resort to keep you entertained. It isn’t too noisy but is a lot there, we will be returning no doubt.

a nice change from the noise of Magaluf. Nice pleaseant area's to stroll around and no lack of pubs and cafes. Beach is really nice too!

Good resort but not good if you want to take a buggy or if you have a wheelchair or limited mobility as very hilly! and lots of steps! other than that excellent - really nice feel to the resort!

Soller Railway This is a wonderful day out. You get the 1920's train from the station in the centre of Palma (next to the modern train station). The journey takes about an hour, passing through the streets of Palma, then through the flat countryside covered in olive groves, and finally into the mountains. You go through several tunnels, including one which seems to go on forever, until eventually you reach Soller. The best thing to do at this point is to get on the tram down to the harbour, which is beautiful (you can walk if you're fit and have lots of water, but it is about 5kms). Find a nice place and have some lunch by the sea, then get the tram back to Soller.

Santa Ponsa is a wonderful resort with something for every body. nice beaches, good shopping, plenty of bars and restaurants, and good night life.

The resort is busy and offers a wide range of bars and restaurants. Most of the the bars are English and Irish,there are live bands on everynight and you will have the craic . You will pay around £2 for a pint but if you shop around you can get a local beer for about £1.20. Flozzies bar offers Carling for £1.70 ish,there's plenty of offers in most bars have deals on. One thing to look out for is free wi fi,you will pay 1 euro for 30 mins ish in the pubs. Tracie's ( its just off the main drag next the garage bar ) bar offers free internet and you can surf the net on your ipods for free. The square offers a wide range of food and drink along with nightly acts.The square is situated at the top end of santa ponca,just ask for directions . Email me for any other info . the beach is lovely but a bit pricey for sunbeds and brollys some lovely eating places veiws are stunning clean streets not to far from airport

excellent resort and plenty to do for children, There was plenty of shops and bars to see on an evening. The beech was veryu nice however very rocky.

For us with young children we obviously avoided the noisy bars etc and headed more towards the beach in the evenings where there are some nice family resteraunts and the beach bars are lovelly in the eveing.

The beach is beautifull and the 2 hour boat trip was lovelly.

Marineland was great and also the widwest water park, great fun!!

its a nice little resort with nice beaches for the kids,with good local bus service to venture out if you feel like,would come back again.

The resort is a great place to spend a week away. There is pleanty to see an do, perhaps if you spent longer than a week here you would start to get bored, but we certainly found plenty to entertain outselves with here. The bars and resteraunts are all very good, reasonably priced too. There is a good varitey of food avaliable, so it pays to shop around. The nightlife was a little quiet for our liking, with most bars closing early, but this is a minor complaint really. the beaches are beautiful, we spent a lot of our time here getting sunburnt!
