Brochure Guide

Menorca is a wonderful unspoilt little island that offers a paradise of sun, sand and a relaxing time in a peaceful and beautiful setting. The many clean beaches and shallow waters in the many coves around the island provide the chance to have a beach all to yourself if that what you crave. The numerous restaurants a mix of international and traditional spanish offer a wonderful experience of seafood.

The island is not at all commercialised so ideal for people who want a quiet holiday.

If your planning to visit cala blanca for a night out every night this isnt the place!! but for relaxing, snorkling and restaurant meals, and for ROMANCE! this is a perfect place if you like to travel around then there are regular buses to towns near cala blanca which are great to pick up presents and souveniers. The beach is 10/10, shame that Cala Blanca hotel is so close it really was that good

The resort is fanatic for families with young children and there is plenty to keep the little ones entertained with a variety of pools, parks, a good children's club and a beach close by. The toddlers area, with a splash pool and play area, is completely enclosed making it safe - and therefore relaxing for parents too.

the area is lovely and picturesque the area is suitable for couples and people with small children. There is a land train which takes a tour round resort and you get to see how pretty the island is. A few bars and bar restaurants (more than I originally expected). Easy to catch bus to Mahon and Fornells roads quiet and would be worth hiring a car for places further a field

The resort was quiet but there was a regular bus service which took you to nearby towns which were a bit busier. There are a few places to eat nearby which were really nice. The beach was lovely and nice and private.

Es Castell review

"family resort"

75%
of reviewers would recommend this
resort to a friend

Open quote

The hotel overlooks a stretch of sea that is the entrance to the port of Mahon, so we saw giant ferries on their way to Majorca, huge cargo ships, and a luxury cruise liner, go right past the hotel, it was fascinating.

The hotel description says it is 800 metres from a beach. We found this "beach" and found a very small bay, no sand but plenty of rocks to sit on, you could walk into the sea and swim though, so I think this is a bit misleading.

Es Castell is a lovely quiet town with a few shops dotted here and there. It is a 10 min walk from the hotel to get the local bus to Mahon, which is 15 mins away, and worth a visit.

Around the area of the hotel you come to a small port, with lots of restaurants and a few shops, and lots of sailing boats docked, you can get a glass bottom boat ride from here.

The whole area is so peaceful, and very Menorcan, and not very touristy. I would say it would be better for couples and older people, not much there for children. We will certainly go again.

Simply the best place in the Med i have been to.

Beautiful beached and coast line, friendly people, no large groups of drunks. Its only 20 minutes from the airport and not far from anywhere on the island.

Arenal Den Castell review

"Arenal d'en Castell review"

81%
of reviewers would recommend this
resort to a friend

Open quote

The resort of Arenal d'en Castell is very picturesque, and most of the hotels and apartments are situated on top of a hill, so be prepared for a steep uphill walk home. Not many shops so recommend a day trip to Mahon or Cuitadella. Buses run frequently to and from Mahon although if you want to go to Cuitadella, you need to change buses at Mahon. The beach at Arenal was clean and the scenery just beautiful. Lots for families to do, especially children, a few play areas, but not much for adults

The island is not at all commercialised so ideal for people who want a quiet holiday. Town was dead at this time of year but we was very lucky on the weather. Cala Blanca is a nice resort so long as you don’t want to do nothing and I mean nothing.

The beach is 10/10, shame that Cala Blanca hotel is so close it really was that good.

The sea is nice and is quite warm with loads of rock pools to one side.

Renting a car is a must as you get to go to really nice beaches around the island and the other towns, like Mahon where there is a market and shops.
