The beach in Cala Blanca is lovely with clear sea, sunbeds cost 5 euros a day so could work out expensive if you are beach lovers. There are a few bars at the beach and a couple more in the town so it is not somewhere party animals would enjoy but like I said it was only May so it may get livelier later on in the season.

A quiet isolated area, all looks quite new and very very clean. A walk around whole area would take you about 20 mins. Nearest sandy beach us a 15 minute walk away although if you are a comprtant swimmer you can swim from off the rocks. 3 or 4 shops and a couple of restaurants on the resort, including ASIA restaurant which is included in your all inclusive package. Very nice sun terrace and pool by the sea with cheap sunbed hire and snack bar. Great place for a quiet chill out holiday.

although punta prima is only a small resort there is enough to keep you occupied. Nothing of interest to see in resort but would recommend a car to go and see the island. Mount Torro, the monastery on top of a hill in the middle of the island. A little zoo. hundreds of hidden beaches all clean and most of them safe for little ones, as they shelve gradually. punta prima has a couple of supermarkets, 5/6 restaurants and 2 bar/restaurants. Entertainment was lacking but you can go into hotels.

Mostly for young families and couples, not 18-35 yr olds. No clubs, mainly bars with food and entertainment. Plaza Domingo, had tribute acts, which were very good, the Temptations are sensational. Beaches are not as other spainish resorts and tend to be rocky, not a beach person, so read others comments. If like me you have walking problems this part of the island is fairly flat and even, pavements are good and places to rest if needed.

Es Castell review
"very chilled out hotel "
resort to a friend
There is very little to do in Es castell apart from go to the fish restaurants in the bay. There is no beach there at all. But if you look opposite the hotel across the bay you can see the fort La mola or go a few kilometre along the highway to a nice zoo. I am enclosing links on how to get to both of these places as they are cheap entry and really good value for money. I Hired a car from Avis which was a brand new Seat 4 door with air conditioning. I booked that through Expedia and the holiday was booked through lowcostholidays. The flight was with Thomas cook. There were no delays and the whole holiday ran smoothly. I would like to reccommend that You visit the lovely zoo in menorca as its very cheap entry only 7 euros. They have all kinds of animals and a goat petting area and you can walk amongst the turkeys and wallabies and little emus. There are also two adorable African parrots called Noa and Sulu which are free and on perches at the cafe. You can take pictures of yourself with them and feed them. here is the link for the zoo: http://www.llocdemenorca.com/ Also the fort Mola which is so extensive that you need all day to walk around it. Make sure that you wear closed in shoes for your visit to the fort as its really hard work and some of the paths are very ragged. There are lots of scary underground chambers to view and beautiful views across the whole island from the fort. Bring your camera and make the most of this opportunity. The entry price for la mola is also around the same price at 7 euros and kids under 12 get in free. Here is the link for the Fort Mola : http://www.fortalesalamola.com/ If you walk along the tiny little path below the hotel it will lead you into another tiny bay that is lined with fish restaurants. There are two computers in the lobby so you can get on the internet costing 1 euro for ten minutes. You will see giant cruise ships sail by and lots of pretty yachts from your balcony. Don't forget to go to Son Bou for an amazing beach experience. The water is crystal clear and the beach is very clean.

Cala'n Forcat review
"Very quiet. Still early in the season?"

May 2010. Very quiet. Still early in the season? Didn't seem to be too many people around, and most restaurants had very few customers or were empty.

Calan Forcat is one street of shops, bars, restaurants and supermarkets. The people are friendly and prices on most things cheaper than Greece. Smokers beware, you can only buy ciggies from a tobacconist (nearest Cuitadella) or from a machine in bars. I used the Irish bar where they are very friendly with free entertainment most evenings. We ate at the Anchor which was very good and one nearer to the Villa, again good food and value. Jimmy Hill's has free entertainment but the food is not that brilliant, but it is cheap. The beach is tiny and difficult to reach if you aren't too steady on your feet, but it is beautiful once you get to it and worth the effort. The resort is very clean and child friendly.

beautiful harbour with plenty of resturants and bars, and a fun area for young children. A lovely sandy beach which is a few minutes walk from the harbour.

Lovely little place, bit pricing for food and drinks etc but the beach is amazing so clean and the sand so white. The locals are friendly and helpful and it has a real chilled feel to the whole place.

Calan Bosch is easily accessible by local buses etc. Lovely boat trips available from the harbour/Marina. Everything flat, no steep hills to climb. Several beaches in walking distance, small coves.

Cala'n Forcat review

Prices more or less the same as UK for food and drink.
Beaches mostly coves, nice beach in next resort cala bosch.
Plenty of bars and resturants who were all child friendly, 99% had some sort of kids paly area.
A bit of a 'blackpool' resort, not in a bad way, close to everywhere for trips.
No tobacco shops open had to go to ciduidella. Single packs available in bar machines, it is apparently illegal for supermarkets to sell tobacco in menorca now?!?!
The resort was very quiet, not for the young couples but only one supermarket up a back ally.the resort is ok if you like diving.good if you like walking, no beach,

With a choice of cafe's, bars and restaurants there is plenty of choice when eating out. There are many shops and boutiques to browse and suitably stocked supermarkets at reasonable prices. The beaches are fantastic. They are easy to get to and very clean.
