Cala Forcat is a great family resort, we wouldn’t hesitate to book it again. Beach is lovely, a nice little bay. There are some nice restaurants, all child friendly and a few shops. A trip over to Ciudedella, not too far away, is nice.

Cala'n bosch was a nice resort although not the prettiest I have been too. Again very geared up to families but not cheap to eat out with the Euro as it is.

Cala'n Forcat review
"Excellant for children"
resort to a friend
The resort is fantastic every bar has a bouncy castle or something to entertain the children. We found Plaza Domingo which was great for us as it had a childrens entertainer every evening doing different themes eg Fairy evening or pirates. Lots of shops and places to eat we especially enjoyed the train ride around the resort and the Aquapark. Will definately return next year my 5 year old loved it there.

Quiet resort, but very clean. Beautiful beaches with lifeguard on duty all day. Very small number of supermarkets (two where we were) - both owned by same family and they were expensive - not a great choice of fruit or vegetables, but all shopkeepers were friendly and helpful.

A very quiet resort with little to do at night. There are 5 or 6 restaurants, 2 supermarkets, 1 chemist and a british themed pub. Add to that two or three gift shops and 2 car hire places and that really covers what is available in the resort. There is a large, popular beach, with life guards always on duty.

Good resort. Nice sandy beach with shallow water. The resort also has a mini water park and crazy golf to keep the kids occupied. There are about 4/5 shops, all fairly reasonably priced for Menorca, and in the evenings about 8 market stalls set up selling jewellery and bags etc.

Punta Prima is a nice little village with a sandy beach, and with just a few shops and a couple or 3 restaurants.

We loved the resort of Cala n Bosh. We have always stayed in Son Bou (7 times) until now so were quite worried about changing, but can honestly say we were not disappointed. Would highly recommend to families with young children. Very clean resort with lots to do. Expensive to eat or drink out though and probably one of the longest transfers from the airport on the island, but it's worth it.

Cala'n Forcat review
"Brilliant resort for young kids!!"
resort to a friend
Can't say enough how young kids and therefore adults will enjoy this resort. So much to do with bouncy castles, trampolines, go karts, huge inflatables (whale and rabbit) that open their mouths, kids rush in and slide down the back. You can sit and have a drink while they play. Bliss! Waterpark and mini train. Also local buses that will take you to Cuitadella until 11pm and others that will take you to Cala n Bosch. Couple of places that have shows eg. Fake That, Westlive, Acrobats etc on an evening round a stage that also has kids play area too. Loads of places to eat. Honestly I would say kids up to 10 years old will love it and we found the prices surprisingly reasonable. A lot cheaper than Majorca where we went the year before. Its definitley Cala n Forcat, Menorca for us next year!!

Arenal Den Castell review
"Review on Arenal Den Castell"
resort to a friend
This resort was absouloutley beautiful. The beach just minutes from the hotel is by far the best beach we have ever been to. It is a perfect horse shoe and suitable for everyone because it had watersports over one end, and lots of sunbeds which were availible to hire. The water was crystal clear and perfect for younger children as it was quite shallow. It was great for taking photos as the view of the cove was gorgeous. There was also a little train that runs around the resort of Arenal Den Castell, it is 6 euros each and you can get on and off wherever you like. We all really enjoyed it and got some great photos. In the resort there are a few supermarkets and gift shops, which sell postcards and souvenirs, but we had a supermarket and gift shop in our hotel complex so didn't tend to go to any others. This resort is very quiet and peaceful, so not suitible for any party lovers, but great for families just wanting a relaxing holiday.

There are just 2 supermarkets in Santo Tomas and they both price fix, so everything is very expensive- even the receptionist when checking into the hotel said they are expensive. Taxi to nearest other supermarket is 7 Euro, but don't expect it to be big supermarket- it's TINY but slightly cheaper. We hired a car for a couple of days and shopped at Lidl and Eroski in Mao and Citudella- a LOT cheaper! Restaurants in the resort are generally awful, canned veg which tastes of vinegar on a pizza and very expensive. By far the best and the only place I would recommend would be Don Tomas Restaurant- very very very nice food, the best in the resort and also one of the cheapest. Beach is lovely, one of the nicest on the island by far, along with Son Bou- we visited them all by car. Cala Galdana is also nice. Mini Golf was good value, 7 Euro for 2 players and that includes a 2 Euro deposit for the balls. Some lovely walks on the cost path to Son Bou and the other way towards Galdana (but they was is a little more rocky)- other than that not a lot more to do except lie in the sunshine and relax- so could be far worse. Quiet resort so no loud entertainment around at night, I counted only 9 Hotels and Apartment complexes in resort, he rest being villas- and up the hill at the back there are some HUGE ones too, worth a walk!
