Welcome to the beautiful island of Menorca. This is the jewel in the balearic crown. Menorca was designated a World Heritage Site, so now tourism and development is strictly controlled, meaning that there are not the mass buliding sites seen on other islands, and you will be able to experience a more beautiful landscape. There are many beaches on the island, some are only accessible via boat, ideal if you fancy a private beach, although the public beaches are excellent, some of which have a lifguard on duty. The regional delicacy of Paella is often available, usually containing fresh locally caught seafood. There are resorts to cater for all needs, and the old capital of cuidadella is a must for a visit, to see the influences of many different types of architecture.
