Cala Galdana Hotel Reviews

Cala Galdana is a beautiful resort, it was a shame that it was the end of the season because a lot of things were closing down. The beach is beautiful and it is one of the safest coves to swim in. There is a great bus service to the main towns on the island and is very reasonable. It is not really suitable for people with teens who want a mad holiday. Couples and young families will love it for a quiet get away.

If you are wanting a quiet holiday with a beautiful resort then this is the place to visit. The wonderful beach and the sea is fantastic for children.

This was our second year to Cala Galdana last year we had one week , now returned two.The location in my opinion is the best on the island having had a car for two weeks l did see quite a few resorts.This was the prettiest and carefully laid out . Laying on a lilo 10 euros was a must why because hiring two sun beds and a umbrellow was 20 euros for the day and take your garden umbrelow if you can you will need it.The beach was clean,clear crystal waters and getting into the sea was easy ,no sudden drops and ideal for children. Talking of children the week 10th to 24th we hardly saw any above school age 5 .Mostly couples from mid years upwards and like me many in their late years. Staying with the beach theres a beach cafe serving a good selection of meals at very good prices ,full breakfast about 6 eros.

Cala Galdana is like a downmarket british resort, only with warm weather. Shops boarded up, and eye wateringly expensive. Beach is lovely, but at 20 euros a day to hire a sunbed, you'd better be loaded. Restaurants are mostly fast food or pizza joints but double the price they are in Britain - £90 for 4 starters, 4 pizzas and water to drink. The local supermarkets make the prices up to suit themselves, one day water is 2 euros and the next day it's 3 euros - depends on the weather I suppose! 4 baguettes, some ham, some cheese and 4 cokes - 28 euros. Total rip off.

Menorca. Just forget it and go somewhere less boring instead!

I dunno about the eating out bit cos theirs food in the hotel but someone said that one restaurant was minging :/ The night lifes pretty mint cept teenagers have to occupy themselves (which is still easy!) but for adults and little kids theirs always stuff on.
