The hotel staff were fantastic. Rooms were very modern and comfortable. Breakfast was very good, but evening meals were less appetising.

Excellent spa treatments and delicious dinners, ideal for a week's relaxing break, near the beach and cliff walks, lovely setting, not too touristy either, have been twice and loved it.

Lovely quiet time at this hotel, had a room on the 6th floor looking out over the pool so not too bad at all. The room was excellent, very clean a good size and well equipped. Food at breakfast was wonderful, every pastry under the sun, every fruit, and a hot cooked option too. Dinners were more hit and miss. The show cooking leads to queues which the chefs try to dissipate by rushing. On the first night my grilled chicken breast was still raw in the middle, and onthe second night they were trying to defrost the lasagne in the microwave in front of you. After a 10 minute wait it was still cold, so that went back too. You could always find something tasty to eat but these were basic errors. A lot of competition around the pool for sun loungers, most were reserved by 8am and then unoccupied until the sun came round by midday, believe the management could do more to address this. Generally these are minor gripes, the rooms were quiet and the ambiance tranquil and quality which is just what we wanted.

The hotel was amazing, peaceful, relaxing and perfect for lounging in the sun. However, ourselves being a younger (under 30) couple found it hard as there was not much to do at the hotel. The gym was well equipped - but it was way too hot to use that! The spa was lovely and there was some events planned but mostly aimed at an older audience. Great get away from screaming children and splashing though!

Excellent Hotel recently refurbished to a high standard. Aimed solely at adult couples. Excellent service. Food very good, lots of show cooking with the standard fare as an alternative in a choice of two themed restraunts.

The hotel has recently been refurbished and has become adults only, we had a spacious room with balcony overlooking the pool. We were very impressed by all of the facilities especially the spa! The restaurants were first class. There was a choice of waiter service, or self service in the mediterranean restaurant, where there was superb selection of local dishes, cooked in front of you! The food quality was excellent in both restaurants. The hotel is well placed right opposite the beach, with lovely walks to other secluded beaches. We had a car for a couple fo days and were able to visit most of the island. Buses are reasonably frequent to Mahon and Cituadella. The staff were fantastic friendly and helpful. Overall excellent!

This was the third time my wife and I have stayed at this hotel and we are already talking about another trip next year! The newly refurbished rooms, exclusively for Thomson guests, were really tastefully decorated and very comfortable with a lovely view out over the cala. Other refurbished areas included the hotel reception, bar and entertainment area, and the resturant on the fifth floor. The Audax hotel is ideally placed in what is the most beautiful area of Menorca.

Very friendly hotel . Good evening entertainment in the bar . The buffet was of a high standard. Suggest sea view rooms as the view is super . Rooms on higher floors are better as there is an early morning rubbish collection in the street below which is pretty noisy! All in all our party of four adults loved the hotel .

I thought the hotel was excellant. It is ideal for older couples. I visited with my mother. The hotel was quiet and relaxed. Most other guests were elderly and quiet in nature. The hotel appears to attract people of distinct taste. The quality of the food was excellant with a wide selection of freshly prepared dishes. On our last night there was hake in apple sauce, sword fish, chicken provencial, for example. The guests are mostly german or english, with some spanish visitors. Much is made of the wellness area, but we were disapointed that use of these facilities such as sauna and whirlpool required payment, when other resort hotels offer them free of charge. The pool area is quiet and well maintained. Rooms are comfortable and of a high standard, but not particulalry large. The lack of a quiet bar area was a notable problem for us as during our stay it was too cold to sit out in the evenings and we were not into entertainmnet. Gala Cladana is a quiet, relaxed resort attracting mature and high class guests. It is a lovely bay and setting. There are few tourist tat shops but a number of small bars and shops. We had a lovely stay.

Based at the end of Cala Galdana bay, this is perfectly located.

The hotel was clean and modern although our room was bog-standard, we paid for an upgrade and had sea views. The downside of this was that it was noisy at night (the entertainment was directly below our room).

The food was excellent with a choice of 2 restaurants. Both served very similar food but were staggered for choice of meal time.

The pool had great views although it could get rather busy at times.

I'd also recommend the coastal walks which are pin pointed across the road from the hotel.

All in all, a hotel I would recommend and return to... if the price was right!

This seems to be the ideal hotel for a relaxing adult chill-out week. Very near the beach and seafront shops and restaurants with a lovely pool and views + all day bars/cafeteria etc. You could stick around the hotel all week and still have a really nice holiday literally on site. Due to school holiday dates there were very few children there when we went at the beginning of July but any OTT children or teenager style noise and running around at the pool was very quickly smoothed away by the on site lifeguard which we thought was a real bonus. Pleasant live music entertainment to suit most tastes each night. Very nice food and plenty of serve yourself choice.

Hotel was in a lovely position overlooking the river and then the Bay, beautiful swimming pool overlooking resort, food was high quality and a very good choice. Easy walk to beach and to good range of shops and bars. Room a little small as we had an extra bed for our teenage son but although described as a put up bed had a proper mattress and was very comfortable. We had a seaview balcony and we really enjoyed being able to sit there. T.V. received BBC 1 .

The Audax Spa is very comfortable. We paid extra for a sea view room which I think was worth it. Restaurant not bad....got a bit samey by end of week but they cater for a lot of people...don't expect to get authentic Menorcan food.

fab location, good food although would have liked more menorcan dishes, efficient well run clean and friendly. well worth booking a seaview room. go canoeing in the bay...great. audax has good bands in the evening in the bar....great band who did santana, you can enjoy music from your balcony but it stops at midnight s no worr.ies about noise, quiet at nighttime. would deinitely go back for some r and r
