Cala N Blanes Holiday Reviews

Its not too busy so its great for young families and its not full of drunk louts making a scene everywhere. P.s i'm in my late 20's not too old. As a family resort it was great, not much extreme night life if any so if you wanna go clubbing go else where...

Good family resort, lots of places to eat. Beaches are very small. Bus into Ciutadella very good, only takes 15/20 mins.

Again, like the accomodation i was a little deflated & disappointed with my whole holiday experience. The only thing i enjoyed was the weather which was lovley & warm & gave me a rich golden tan to bring home. I aways didnt enjoy the daily trek into the centre where the shops & main restaurants were, i would have liked my accomodation to be a bit more centralised than it was. The locals were quiet friendly most of the time but i got the impression they were a bit tired of listening to all the noisy screaming children constantly running about the place. There was a nice small beach nearby but this was a bit of a trek over hills to get back to the accomodation. Overall my stay here was fairly average, there were some good points but i have to say i think the bad points outweighed the good aspects of the holiday. The only thing that would tempt me back here for a holiday would be the nice weather & even then that would be at a stretch. I feel i wasted my money on this holiday & i didnt get the relaxing break i so desperately wanted.

A nice quiet area with lots of places to eat and drink and some lovely local pubs with plenty for the kids to do and a brilliant water park for older children.

Boring. You need to pay for trips to explore as I am sure there must be more to Menorca.

Cala 'n' Blanes is a lovely resort - made better by the lovely walk along the coast into Ciutadella, this takes approx 40 minutes. Friendly people, with well kept houses and gardens. Streets free of rubbish. An excellent idea having the recycling bins dotted about. Everywhere kept very tidy. Regular, very cheap bus service, to go anywhere you first have to go into Ciutadella. I couldn't fault this holiday in any way. Menorca is a lovely island, and especially suits couples, and those with yound children. A very friendly island, will definately be back!

Cala N Blanes only really consists of a Chinese buffet restaurant that is good value ,we paid 7.95E as much as you can eat and Churchills Bar. However just a short 15 - 20 min stroll takes you to the main strip where there are numerous places to eat and drink. Nice bars on Cala N Blanes beach,Giovonni's restaurant just off main strip (just ask) excellent 3 course meals only 7 Euro's with complimentary bread and apple snapps.

cala n blanes is small an not much around it but a 15 min walk away takes u cala n forcat . in blanes theres a cove with a beach its luvly. up the street from the apts theres a sports bar called churchills an a chinese next door the lads at churchills r spot on . forcat is ok to plenty to do an loads of places to eat .its a place for familys not for young lads an lasses.

The beach was riddled with jellyfish and my husband got stung very badly, we were there a week and couldn't go into the sea at all so despite the beach being on our doorstep (could almost touch it from our balcony) it wasn't accessible. However, Cala'n Blanes is a small resort with everything else you need but Cala'n Forcat really isn't a separate resort, you can walk it in 10 minutes with private houses, pavements and lighting all the way. Fabulous fun for kids there (water park, massive inflatables, trampolines, shops, bars etc) Regular, reliable and reasonably costed buses to take you wherever you want to go. Highly recommend a trip to Cuitadella, beautiful port and lovely old town with some great shops. Buses even automatically open their carriage space underneath for buggies etc I would definately go back to this hotel and resort with my young family. Wouldn't imagine it's a couple nightlife scene, but can't really say as we were in bed by midnight every night!

The resortwas very clean and the family felt very safe, plenty to do

This resort is really just an extension of Cala n forcat and you can easily walk between the two. there's a great beach although it can get busy

Lovely resort... plenty of restaurants without being too noisy. Lovely beaches. I would visit again.

A quiert resot but easy to get everywhere. Get a taxi or a bus to the town of Ciudalla for a great meal and great sights.

every thing was rubish

The beach is just to the rear of the Vista Blanes apartments and you can rent sunbeds and pedalos for a reasonable cost. At night the beach bar (attached to one of the nearby hotels) is an ideal place to relax in an idyllic spot and have a beer/wine and enjoy the varied entertainment. The bars and restaurants are reasonably priced and during the entire stay we did not have a bd meal. The nightlifein Cala N Blanes revolves around each hotel, but a walk into Los Delfines is worthwhile every now and again. Kids love the shows staged most nights in the resorts hotels. Cuitadella is a 10 minute bus trip away and car hire is always an option. The island is beautiful and well worth investigating.
