Long walk down 182 steps to the beach or a 1/2 mile walk around the long way.

However, the beach is perfect. Gentle shelving beach, ideal for families and people wishing to learn snorkeling.

Calan Porter is quite lively. Not pretty at all because there is a car park right in the centre. There is a bar which has live entertainment every night which my daughter loved. This was free but the drinks are expensive but it was worth it.

The restaurants down the strip are to be avoided. We found The Castle very reasonable set menu about 45 euros for a 3 course meal with wine. There is another good restaurant by the caves. Someone also told us the Club Menorca is good and it has fantastic views over the bay.

The beach at Calan Porter is nice but hard to walk down to. We caught the train but it cost us 7.5 euros for 3 thinking it was return but it was only one way.

Overall we enjoyed the holiday. Menorca is lovely. However we would probably stay in Son Bou or Son Parc next time. The resorts are better and the beaches are gorgeous

Cala n Porter itself isnt very big but still had plenty of things to do. There are a handful of good restaurants and some nice little bars tucked away. It is a very British resort. The beach here is superb, clean and with some lovely views. The beach is reached by 181 steps down a cliff but you can also drive their. Lovely little bars by the beach. The beach is very safe for children as their are lifeguards. One good bar you should visit is called FLAVA.
