"Nuramar apartments"
Overall Hotel Rating:
Out dated and tatty appartments, food disgusting guess work every meal time as to what you were eating as nothing labelled no healthy options deserts were either cream caramel or blancmange I think or melted icecream bread and rolls very hard as were left out all day.Enterainment only on twice in the week we stayed but apparently this was usual. Holiday sold as all inclusive but snacks only available between 4 and 5 pm which didnt include icecream just a limited amount of cake.

"Never again"
Overall Hotel Rating:
This was a return visit (previously there 3 years ago) and we can't believe how run down it has become. The rooms are a great size but no maintenace or sprucing up has been done since we left it 3 years ago! We also found the rooms to be dirty this time around, cobwebs in the corners and debris under the beds. Our fridge was broken and was fixed 3 days after we reported it. The air conditioning didn't work either although it made an almighty noise. We were very disappointed and would not consider trurning here again. It really has seen better days.

"Very Disappointing"
Overall Hotel Rating:
No where near the 4* it's advertised as. The rooms are spacious but are also tatty and shabby. Bathrooms had an offensive smell and tiles were cracked. Windows did not lock properly and you really couldn't self cater as the oven rings were rusted up. The pool area is small and many complaints were made about the pool being dirty and cloudy. We would not consider returning if it was free and would not recommend the Nuramar.

"Great resort"
Overall Hotel Rating:
If you want 5* luxury, look elsewhere. If however, you want good spacious accommodation,no frills, with the added bonus of air con, then this may be ok for you. We stayed in the 2 bedroom, apartment, although it would be better described as a villa style property, with 2 bedrooms upstairs, and an average size bathroom. Air con in both bedrooms. Downstairs,a lounge/ kitchen, very spacious, with 2 sofas that can be used as extra beds. Very small tv,with 1 station,so forget that as an option. Kitchen, if you plan on staying in much, and self catering, you may struggle. Microwave, fridge both ok,but limited cooking utensils, and only 2 hob cooker. We ate out every night,so not a problem for us,but could be if you have a family, and want to do your own cooking. There is a small patio area with seating for each 'villa style apartment'. Air con in the lounge/kitchen. Safe in main bedroom, athough it will cost you 17 Euros to hire the safe key from main reception for 7 days. Like i said, 5* they are not,and from our accommodation,i would say a good refurb would not go amiss,as looked a little tired, but served us well for the week. Pool, looked ok, but we did not use ourselves, prefer the sea. Did not use the bar or restaurant, and never really seen many others use during our stay, maybe they all prefered the excellent choice of bars restaurants in town. Overall not bad,we only paid £1012 for the week, and for the end of August,i thought that was good value, but if we had booked a little later than March, the price went as high as £1800 for the same week. A good location, and offereing a good no frills base, although i had no real problem with the place, i would not use again myself.

"Brilliant!!"
Overall Hotel Rating:
The Nuramar apartments were brilliant. They were very clean with staff changing the beds and towels every other day. The pools were excellent, although they were only cleaned once while we were there which was a little disappointing but nevertheless excellent. The location was perfect. A 5 minute walk to the Marina and 10 to the beach, although we stayed around the pool. The restaurants around the Marina were a little expensive and very similar but I can certainly recommend the following places to eat - Hong Kong Freestyle buffet (all you can eat for 7 euro (adult) 4 euro (child) with loads of choice plus a desert. Also the Fiesta bar on the Marina had a very extensive menu and was very reasonable. Leli's bar was excellent too (not on the Marina but abut 500 yards from Nuramar (its the one with the talking parrot outside!!). I would definitely stay away from La Piscina on the Marina - very expensive and the food was awful. Also the Steak House (Torres Noir) on the Marina was always packed (we didnt eat there because everyone we spoke to said it was very expensive (50 euro for 2 people!!) We also went on a half day boat trip which was brilliant (Don Pancho) which we caught from the Marina (15 euro adult and 5 euro child) and would definitely recommend it. The train which does a large circuit was good but I thought expensive for what it was - 7 euro each. I would give this resort 9 out of 10 - excellent for families and would definitely go there again. Have a good holiday.

"Nuramar Apartments Holiday Review"
Overall Hotel Rating:
We were most impressed with our holiday at the Nuramar Apartments, so much so that we would like to go again in the future. The complex is small and friendly and the accommodation is similar to having your own villa - we booked a 2 bedded apartment which also had 2 bathrooms. The kitchen was well equipped and the apartment very spacious. Some of the furniture looked a little tired but this was not a problem. The maids kept the apartment clean and although we had a small problem with a dirty bathroom when we arrived it was soon sorted out. We even had a small terrace and garden and with the 2 bed apartments you even get a little private out door area with a washing line. The pool never got too busy and the kids pool was ideal for little ones. The entertainment was not brilliant but we ate out each night so not a problem for us. We did eat on a few occasions at the Nuramar - you were pretty safe with omelette or chips but don't expect a gastronomic experience. The brochure stated there was a restaurant but this was not open during our stay.

"A damn good holiday"
Overall Hotel Rating:
We have just returned from holiday in this very pleasant resort. The accommodation is rated at 4* locally (3* plus in some brochures) which I think is just about right. Its position being about a five minute walk to the marina, bars and shops make it ideal. With two pools, bar, restaurant, games room and reception area all being spotlessly maintained there is something for everyone. Our apartment was very spacious being about 48 feet long by 18 feet wide including balcony. Being well equiped with most of life's essentials the room was comfortable apart from being a little cold at night, which is to be expected in late September. The room was cleaned each day but one of our stay. The Nuramar staff are polite and helpful (after all without tourism Menorca would be a very bleak place). I would recommend the Nuramar if you want a simple, hassle free inexpensive holiday away from the hussle and bussle of the marina area knowing that if you want a slice of the action it is only a 5 minute walk away. For eating out would recommend El Pato for decent, inexpensive food served with outstanding efficiency. Avoid the "Indian" dishes because they are expensive and disgusting. Enjoy your stay.

"Best Apts Ever"
Overall Hotel Rating:
Visited the Nuramar in August 2008 we were stopping in the Duplex style accom they were fantastic just like having yor own Villa. With it being a small complex everybody was so friendly with each other. The pool area was excellent nice and clean. The food served throught the day was okay enough to tide you over till you went out on the evening the maid service was 5 times per week and they don a good job. the entertainment programme needs to be looked at only on two evenings per week not much for the kids entertainment wise. The bar was dissapointing it was closed at 23.15pm so we just made our own entertainment

"Nuramar apts"
Overall Hotel Rating:
We had a really cheap holiday here so we wernt expecting buck palace. NEedless to say we didnt get it. Had a problem with ants and the cooking rings blew up when i turned them on spitting bit lumps of rust at me. Lucky for me i didnt have to cook! The kids pool was dirty looking so i was glad mine were old enough to swim in the big pool. Entertainment was farsical so we went out every evening. The apartment was huge though and well positioned on the small site and it was never crowded round the pool. For the price we paid (£134 each) we couldnt have asked for more but if id paid what they are charging at the moment, they would have had a fight on their hands

"Nuramar Apartments review"
Overall Hotel Rating:
These are basic apartments, probably in need of a bit of modernisation. That being said, we still had a great time. The 23 pools are well kept, clean and, particularly the kids' pool, warm! We've never been anywhere with so many visits from the cleaners (12 of the 14 days). They were all cheery and polite, as were all the staff here- the reception staff were great, and responded particularly well to being smiled at. The 1- bedroom apartments have air-con, you have to lift a flap to find the controls. (The rep didn't know this)! Also, the service in the snack bar wasnn't great, but that was mostly due to a language problem- when the food arrived it was perfectly ok.
We had a great time here, and would definitely go back.

"Nuramar Apartments review"
Overall Hotel Rating:
Just got back from the Nuramar in Cala 'n' Bosch and what a week that was.
Having never been to menorca before I was pleasantly surprised as the resort was very nice, especially the marina. The reason why I only marked the resort as Good was because once you had been around it for a couple of days it did get a bit repetative as it is quite small.
The apartments, however, were a different story. The brochure states 3*plus and the official rating is 4* but both are a massive over-rating. I have stayed in better 2* late deal hotels. The rooms are drab, walls need whitewashing and maid service poor (floors rarely cleaned). The receptionist on a night-time was most unhelpful. When we had a thunderstorm our ground floor was flooded as water came in through ceiling - her response was 'its raining'. After eventually getting her to get some towels I ended up mopping up til midnight while she ate her twix. The 'head rep' wasn't much better. She offered to move us for night to similar standard but at an extra cost.
Avoid this hotel if you can and stay 100 yards up the road at the First Choice Viva Menorca. We spent the next day there after explaining our plight to the first choice rep (who was very helpful). Hotel and food very nice, pay 15 euro for a very good buffet.

"Nuramar Apartments review"
Overall Hotel Rating:
We went on a family holiday for a week 14 of us ranging in age from 64 to 3 years old. there was something for all of us to do all the time.the food was great and not to expensive, the booze was cheap to. the people were really friendly in the restaurants and bars and in the spartments. the accomodation itself was great. it was clean and tidy and there was enough room for anyone. i would recomend the nuramar apartments to anyone of any age for a nice break for a week or maybe ten days but i think 2 week would be to much.
