"Binimar Apartments review"
Overall Hotel Rating:
Just returned from 7 nights at the Binimar resort,we booked this because of comments on this site,we were not disappointed.
The whole holiday ran smoothly from Newcastle to the resort.
I can strongly recommend this for families,reps/entertainers very enthusiastic in their jobs, great with the kids.
No problem with the apartment but hiring a fan is a must.
Food on site good but there are plenty of places to eat nearby.Restaurants are very child friendly.
This resort would be A1 if it had a good large beach, but this should not put you off, there are some small coves nearby, but the Binimar hires cars at 25 euros a day,(special rate for late season)so you can get to a good beach in 20 minutes.
I would not hesitate to go back to the Binimar.
Do not hire a Chuckle mobile in the middle of the day unless you are extremely fit or 4 adults are peddling.

Overall Hotel Rating:
We visited menorca in august 05 and stayed at the Binimar. We tried to go with an open mind after reading some of the awful reports on this site.
We were so stressed about the choice of our holiday before we left Scotland that we almost wished we weren't going.
WHAT A RELIEF!!!!!!!!The complex was fantastic, the staff in all areas of the hotel were so friendly and extremly helpful, especially our patient room maid, clean towels everyday and a clean shower curtain every day we don't do that at home!
the entertainment team on site well what can we say the were fantastic. the other acts watchable but not great with the exception of the temptations!!We were however very disappointed with the childrens club not for their entertainment of the children. But the extra cost involved, we booked our holiday with direct holidays a subsiduary company of Airtours, and for this reason we were charged 5 euros a session for our 10yr old there were two sessions a day an extra 140 euros. one of the reasons we booked at the Binnimar was because of the excellant facilitys for children. At no stage during our booking did anyone mention this to us, we are really angry but we did not let this spoil our holiday we had a great time in Menorca needless to say we won't be booking with Direct Holidays again.
IF YOU HAVE YOUNGER CHILDREN AND WANT THEM ENTERTAINED WHILE YOU GET SOME CHILL OUT TIME YOU CAN'T BEAT THE BINIMAR!!!!

Overall Hotel Rating:
I have just come back from the Binimar, was there for 2 weeks. we went from august the 19th. At the hotel there was lots of entertainment in the evening. There is a mini disco for the children, there is Quizes and bingo and a show every night.
There is entertainment in the pools at daytime such as water polo for adults and basket ball for children. There are 3 pools and they are all nice. You can play football on the courts. We liked the food at the hotel, we loved the entertainment, it is a great hotel. There is shops and bars near the hotel. we liked the pub Jimmy Hills for the sport on tele and the crepes were beautiful. our best place for food is the Black Horse it is a british pub. The breakfast was lovely and the black horse curry was outstanding. The Steakhouse is a beautiful restaurant, the meat is brilliant. The other restaurants we liked were the restaurant blanco, the grandfather and the forum. The grandfathers food was lovely but you got small portions. The restaurant Blanco is a mexican place it was nice. The restaurant forum is across the road from the Binimar it is a nice place for food.
There is lots to do for small children there is trampolines, play areas and lots more. The shopping bar is a good choice of drinks. There is lots more pubs that are good. There is a water park it is quite small but there is good slides. There is a few shops that have some nice things in them. there is a cove which is beautiful you can snorkol with fish, the water is so clear so you can see the fish. You can feed the fish bread and they all go for it.

we spent a week hear in may weather was brill had one bad day.
me my autie and daugther first time away togther not be the last if you have kids under 13 this is the place for you. night time was brill mini kids disco than bingo than a act every night staff were so helfull the spaininsh and english alike. 3 swimming pools so you can find one to suit the age of your children. the beach not much to shout about but if you have young children its fine as its small and shallow water so safe for them no watersports or anything like that so if your looking for action packed day not for if you want to relax in a clean and safe place were you can take kids out on night without fear of drunking clubbers this is for you

Just got back from here, had a GREAT time again 12 times here i believe at the binimar every year it gets better.
Didn't stay for much of the entertainment but when we did it was good, went to the sqaure for some entertainment (Temptations)is a must they go to the binimar also but seemed better at the square.
My son made a loads of friends who meet every evening at our apartment for a drink then went on to The Blue Breeze and Night Fever lots of late nights for them but all looked after each other.
Visited our favourite resturant Sa Calderta and such lovely staff, Le Ancore is another nice place to eat.
The entertainment team kept the adults and Kids busy with lots going on during the day and night.
Will be back same time next year.

Booked this holiday as our holiday rep had been there and said she loved it, how worried was I when I got home and read the reviews on here!!! I held this information from my mum and hoped I wouldn't be dissapointed - thank god I did, I don't know where all the other moaning minnies went but we went to a Clean, comfortable appartment, that was so secure I allowed my 7 year old full unacompanied access to the whole complex, she thought this was amazing as she is not even allowed across our cul'd'sac unsupervised.
We were in room 221, without being to smug, this was one of the best situated rooms I feel, we were two sun beds away from the ";bridge pool"; , about 30ft away from the resort shop, and through our patio doors out the rear of our appartment was a lovely garden, then an appartments' width away was the entertainment, but we didn't have all the comings and going's or the disadvantage of not being able to get in/out off our room that the middle pool had.
Out and about there was plenty to keep everyone happy, all was reasonalble priced, and in some places was cheaper then at home. The cove at the back of the resort was a little steep to get to but the cala forcat beach was perfect, it took a 10 minute stroll, but well worth it.
And if there wasn't enough to do here for e1.25 you could go into town.
The rep's night was so funny, you have to support Paula and her pom-poms, and the food was deliscious.
The water park (not even a 5 minute walk,(E15 over 11- E9 under, under 3's free) was small but fabulous fun, the slides are so fast and there is only a small wait.
All in all, I didn't want to come home and it was the fasted two weeks ever, but would I go back??? Silly question.
Look around on the internet for cheaper prices though, I saved nearly £1000 with price matching.

Just home from a fortnight at the binimar,we loved every minute!
we were very pleased with apartment however our maid didnt clean our ap for the whole 2 weeks.
you must hire a fan as it is very hot at night do not hire from binimar turn right at reception and you will find an exchange.hire fom here they are much cheaper and you can hire per day instead of per week.
try porky's for a lovely breakfast and es forum which is right across from binimar.
if you have a buggy i wouldnt attempt to find the beaches as the access is very difficult.
the ONLY thing that made our holiday not perfect were the sunbeds!we couldnt get a sunbed at all for the whole of our fortnight.something must be done!
finally the entertainment-very good apart from a few dodgy hired acts!the team were friendly and tried their best at all times alfie and steve are mad!
please dont worry if you are going you will have a brill holiday!we are about to book for next year!

We had a lovely holiday staying at the Binimar appartments, the rooms were very clean and the food was also very good,it was an ideal place for families with small children the entertainment was excellent again for young families. The only small problem we came across was that you had to queue at the bar too long, there seemed to always be a problem with the computerised tills! We went on an open water scuba diving course at Ciutadella with Mark Moss he was brilliant I would fully recomend learning to dive with him.
We enjoyed it so much we are going back in September to learn more diving!

spent 14 days at binimar resort 7th - 21sy july 2005.
no problems with flights either way. check in was quick and easy. 1 bedroom apt had 2 single beds which were very soft, and a sofa in the lounge for our 3rd bed. kitchen had kettle, microwave and toaster plus plenty of other bits and pieces. room 272 overlooked the middle pool. balcony was a bit small but still functionable. brightly coloured apts now (used to be all white). lots of scottish and irish ( hello to kerry and amy. my girls loved the entertainment staff who did work very hard. exciting emma, alfie, lindsay. ali, anna and puablo. plenty to do during the day if you wanted to take part. mini disco quiz bingo and caberet each night. pop into oasis park next door for a change of entertainment if it gets a bit repetative.
i was disappointed in the resort itself. no promenade or marina as focal point. coves very nice but hard to access. both daughters had a suba diving lesson in the pool and oldest girl booked for a dive out at sea. 55 euros, great experience and well worth a go. stacks of sunbeds available at all pools at any time during the day!! but the problem was after about 9am , there was no space left around the pool to place them. Too few umbrellas for shade as well. All in all a great holiday.
ps. the bed rooms have no aircon. i knew this in advance and hired aportable air con unit which was delivered and uplifted from the hotel from a company called mentalrentals in menorca which is owned by a british couple. best 200 euros spent and worth every penny. mentalrentals @yahoo co uk

Overall Hotel Rating:
Just returned from 12 days at the Binimar in Cala n Focat and loved every minute of it.
Was getting a bit sceptical after reading some of the reviews on here but it was great. The apartment was clean and just the right size for the four of us. Apartments clean with good maid service. We were on the ground floor so didnt have to worry about the kids and balcony's and my youngest son who is still crawling was in his element playing on the balcony outside whilst the elder one loved playing in the playground which was just outside our bedroom window so we could keep an eye on him.
The pools were very nice but you had to be up v early if you wanted to bag a sun bed or strike lucky if you went out later in the day The entertainment at the apts was ok but we preferred to go out most nights, there were quite a few bars that had bouncy castles and trampolines so we could have a drink whilst my elder son played, there is also a place called the square that had a big stage in the middle that sometimes had bands on but mainly the kids played together on with several bars surrounding it. Cuitadella was nice too.
All in all a lovely holiday, v relaxed can see why couples etc may find it bit too quiet cos it really is a family orientated resort but we loved it and would definitely go back again - thumbs up.

just got back from a week in menorca what a great time we had. the binimar is fantastic for kids as they have three pools all with childrens end so parents feel safe to sunbathe while the kids play.theres also plenty of activities for the adults to do in the daytime. the rooms are of good clean standard as the maids come most days could do with air con but never mind.the staff are very freindly and pleasant to everybody and approachable but the entertainers are fantastic well done, dan, emma.alfie linzi, gemma, rihane.ana, pablo and jessie.
the town itself is quiet but has plenty to do and the aqua park is a must. if you do like fish and chips go to ken and jeans in the square avoid jimmy hills.
all in all we had a great time and will be going back next year.

this was absolutely the best holiday of my life. there were lots of bars and restaruants including one bar called ";The Pub"; which was owned by a couple of people from glasgow. the place was almost always clean, the pools were clean, the maids came in twice a week to clean up, change the sheets etc. the snack bar at the top pool was brilliant and unless you are vegetarian i advise you to try the bacon baguette.
i would just like to tell anybody who is going that it is fantastic.

"Binimar Apartments review"
Overall Hotel Rating:
We were unsure of what the Binimar would be like after reading the reviews, we loved it and have already booked for next year!
The resort was very clean and well presented, linen changed every two days and towels daily.
We did't really take part in any activites and tended to go out into Los Delphines area for our tea and a wander in the evenings, there were plenty of restaurants with play area to keep the kids entertained if needed.
Just over the road from resort was a nice supermarket and one also just around the corner, sold most things there and reasonably priced.Visted the little cove at end of resort which was only small but nice, hired a car also and visited Cala Galdana which had a nice beach and also Cala n Bosch with water park...FAB!
Would recommend Cala n Forcat restaurant to eat and also L'Anchora nr los delphines arch. We stayed a week and found this was ok for us....ate out every night too, not too expensive either £32 ish for 2 course meal and drinks in most places.Would reccommend going to Cuitadella if you can, bit tricky getting through but nice place, very spanish! You can go there on the bus if you like , the stop is nr to the supermarket over the road.
