Great block of apartments, handy for the beach and got everything you need. Was comfy enough, decent little pool. Seemed quite safe too, which is important when you have little ones. Price was decent considering it was peak season.

Just got back from 11nts at Talayot and my 3 sons aged 8, 6 and 2 had a fantastic time. Games for kids (and adults) during the day where you get presented with prize's in evening after mini disco if you win and there are 5 pools to choose from scattered round. The main pool is where music and actvities are with childrens section at each end. Slide in this pool too. Just up from main pool is new Splashzone area with slides and fountains and big barrel that fills up then tips out. My eldest 2 loved this area. We went here later on in day as they played in this, my 2 year old played in the shaded large sandpit just behind that has slides and castle and we had a lovely cool drink sat in the sun. Bliss! Reps and hotel staff really good. 2 bed apartment was fine. Plenty of room but my main gripe would be the minimal cleaning you get during your stay. Don't get me wrong it is fully cleaned before you arrive but I think they then just wipe over the bathroom and make the beds. No floor cleaning whole time we were there! One day the cleaner was there at 5.30pm too. I think the Talayot would really benefit from some Air con and to employ more cleaners! Don't expect crisp white towels and sheets! The other thing is the sunbeds but think this is only an issue in August but we did end up joining the towel brigade early on a morning. Think this is only issue round the main pool. Didn't really bother us. None of these would prevent me going back as the resort more then makes up for it. We got bargain price too as booked accomodation only with Thomson, flew with Easyjet and had transfers with A2Btransfers.com who have kiosk at airport. Easy and cheaper. Think we saved £1500 off package price! If you have young children they will not be bored and you will be able to have a leisurely drink while they play on an evening in resort. Frankies very reasonable for prices. Paid bout 40 euros for 2 adult meals, 3 kids meals and 2 round of drinks. Has bouncy castle, PS3 and indoor play area. We went there a lot!! Other places have bouncy castles. 2 places have a huge inflatable (one a whale and one a rabbit) that opens its mouth and the kids climb in and slide out the back, also an inflatable Sponge Bob mountain to climb up, trampolines, go karts. I could go on but so much for kids and didn't find resort expensive at all. Dragon chinese lovely, Castaways lovely breakfast and Top Markets nice with great play area too. Think we're going back next year!

This is a Thomson Family Club property and was an excellent place for anyone with children. The childrens clubs and the fabulous staff ensured my girls had a wonderful holiday. The entertainment reps also ensured we all had a great time. Evening entertainment was also very enjoyable and made this one of our best holidays ever. Cannot fault the place apart from the food, though as it is self catering you don't have to eat there.

The location of the these apartments was brilliant, the main street was just around the corner. The Talayot was clean, and all rooms had a fridge, toaster, TV etc... however if you want a more quiet apartment make sure you ask as the entertainment is close to some of the rooms. The Talayot is great for families with children/young teens and has excellent kids activities with music/DJ in the main pool during the day! My only complaint is the food as although it was very good value it was quite basic. The onsite shop had everything we needed for the week and wasn't too expensive! My stay at the Talayot was probably one of the most relaxing holidays i've been on, and if anyone is going there this summer you must go to Mahon as it is incredible! You must also visit one of the many leather shops on the island if you love bags and shoes!

Just back from a two-week stay and found this place very welcoming and friendly. Staff would do anything to help. Rooms only cleaned every 2-3 days, but if you requested a clean, they'd have someone over within the hour. Pools were great, and my boys - who are 3 and 1 - especially liked the baby pool near reception. Kids Club was fab for my eldest. Would just point out that the evening entertainment was often on late - no good for our two who were in bed by 7.30pm (after a packed day at the pool, they couldn't keep their eyes open any longer). So maybe older kids would appreciate the programme more. Our last week was overshadowed by a noisy family who were shouting and swearing in the appartment below at 1am. When we complained, the rep said she'd speak to them. But a few hours later, she admitted she hadn't bothered, and her solution was to move us to a different appartment. But why did WE have to be the ones to move? Apart from that disappointment, would give the place full marks.

Apartment was very comfortable, clean and well equiped. Four ring hob and oven and dishwasher if you wanted to eat in. Apartment was cleaned and towels changed three times in the week we stayed. Five pools to choose from, although we did prefer to stay around the main pool as there was more entertainment for adults and children. Kids club for my ten year old was fab. Pool tables, table tennis and various other video machines to keep my 13 year old amused, although he spent his days in the pool. Entertainment staff were brilliant a big thank you to Tracey and Izzie for their hard work during the day and evening. The reps were brilliant to. Reception staff were very helpful and if anything needed doing,it was taken care of straight away. Would definitely go back again as many others have done before.

Just got back from a weeks holiday. Location of these apartments is excellent - just outside the main town not to be mithered but also close enough for a stroll to the shops and restaurants. Didnt use the complex facilities much hence average marks for some of the categories and found the snack bar prices slightly higher than on the high street. Stayed in H block which was ideal. We had two apartments for a family of seven; we asked for them to be adjoined which they were. They were more than suitable for us - plenty of space and also clean enough. Linen and towels were changed every other day. Overall the apartments provided an excellent base for us - after all, we didnt go on holiday to sit in the apartments! Used the main pool and always managed to get a sun lounger but had to reserve them around eight o'clock every morning. Although reserving them is frowned upon, it really is the only option but it wouldnt a problem if beds reserved were then used instead of being left empty all day - this clearly being the fault of the selfish British holidaymakers (its exclusively used for Thomson). We spent half the day round the pool before heading to the nearby cove in Cala N Forcat where we enjoyed the swimming and snorkelling in safety. We had fantastic weather all week. Try the Full English at Frankies Bar for 4 Euros - keeps you going til teatime. Our favourite restaurants were Los Delfines and Bianco's (both in the main street); would highly recommend Bianco's - try the hake in marinere sauce! Also try the Aqua Centre - its fun all day for all the family; our childrens ages ranged from 7 to 16 and this holiday catered for everybody. Thomsons Travel Money Card is a great idea as long as you spend all the money on it, thereby avoiding the buy back losses made in the UK. Overall a fantastic holiday; even at peak season is really quiet which we think is perfect. No lager louts/stag and hen nights etc. We want to go back and have already recommended it!

We have been going to Talyot Apts for 15 years, they are brilliant with kids, entertainment is good and bars in the area are brilliant. Our son is now 19 and always insists on coming with us as he now has friends there. If you have young children it is the ideal place, safe lots of little beaches, not rowdy, a real family holiday. Lorenzos bar is great for adults and children alike. All restaurants and bars are child friendly, as are the people. Cieutadella is beautiful and traditional in that it closes for a siesta. I would highly recommend this as a holiday for a family or anyone wanting a relaxing holiday, no yobs, its great. It may be a bit more expensive than other places but Talyot are the best, we have tried other apartments and they are not a patch on Talyot.

Just got back from a week at the Tayalot Apts and all I can say is never again!! This place is basically butlins in the sun poor entertainment, reps that are not that interested in their jobs and average accomodation. Had to get up very early every day to even get a sun lounger by the quieter pools (most people save them all day and dont bother using them) Arrived to find we had been allocated the dreaded X block (which the hotel have tried to re name T block so you dont realise!!) Sheets on the beds were marked and looked dirty the kitchen area hadn't been cleaned properly and the sofas (which are also supposed to double as beds) were really uncomfortable. Complained the the rep who told us that we couldnt be moved as the hotel was full but she would arrange for the bed linen and sofas to be changed. New sofas were just as bad we spent the entire week sharing the 2 single beds with our kids!! Our apt backed on to a residential road which was busy and noisy at most times of the day and night which didnt encourage you to sit outside!! No air con only celing fans which wasnt great as it dosent cool down much at night at all. Time round the pool was ruined by other parents ingnoring their own kids behavior and allowing them to run riot and the constant sun bed battle. Kids Club was the only saving grace our eldest son really enjoyed going and loved the girls that looked after him. Only thing I would say is if you want you child to use this facility arrive early as they are really strict with the child/carer ratio so if you are late you wont get in most days the max number of kids they would take was 24 and when the complex is rammed with kids this isnt enough. Wont be returning and wont be recommending to anyone!!!!

Apartments were very clean & spacious, we had a nice balcony & were right by the pool. Pools were great for the kids, and something going on around them every day. Plenty of sunbeds when we were there in September. Loved happy hour at the the bar ! No complaints - staff were friendly & reps worked hard. Would definitley go back again.

The hotel was brilliant there was lots to do and not just for the children there are facilaties all around you so if you have children they won't be very far away at all.The food was great and the staff were very polite.The Thompson staff were also very helpful if you want to ask them any questions about the hotel or cala n blanes its self.Overall it was a great family holiday.And we would go again.

This fairly small complex is ideal for families with young children as it is very family friendly. Our apartment was adequate but we have stayed in apartments that have been better equipped

had a great time. apartments are in a great position close to all the amenities of the resort. our room was cleaned 6 days out of the 7 we were there. rooms are quite basic but were fine for what we needed. would go back again no problem

Great sized apartment and lovely private patio area. Tons of entertainment throughout the day. Great holiday for families.

we stayed in x block it was clean,comfortable and quiet,only acouple of mins walk to main complex .we stayed 11 days and room cleaned almost everday . reception staff were very good, didnt go to entertainment on site as we prefer to go out in the evening.would stay there again as close to town.
