"Villa Linda Punta Prima Menorca"

Overall Hotel Rating:

Very Good

Open quote

Just returned from this villa and could not fault it, clean and comortable, well positioned and large pool ideal for our kids and us. Few minutes walk from the beach. Only ate in during the day but ate out every night. We ended up at the Anchor every night, kids wouldnt go anywhere else and we agree, food excellent and prices very reasonable. Friendly and helpful staff. Music quiz and karaoke twice a week. Binibeca beach was a short ride away on little train another nice clean beach (but more crowded than Punta Prima)

What can I say, absolutely fabulous, Villa Linda is a very large attractive villa. Plenty of rrom for everyone in our party (10) catering for young and old. This pool is massive and there were quite a few envious passers by having a good nosey at our massive pool and patio area. The childrens pool is excellent for non swimmers and small children, just be careful as it gets the sun all day long. Only small problem with the villa is no air conditioning, got very warm at night, I would advise anyone going to get the rooms at the very back of the house as these were kept cool by the breeze in the evening.

For those who prefer the beach, it is a stones throw away but can get very crowed, we just went down to get cooled down in the ocean then walked back to the pool. The beach is very clean as is Menorca and the people are very friendly.

Punta Prima itself is very small and quiet but if you are after a family holiday for relaxing then it is perfect. Every restaurant we ate at was excellent especially the fresh fish. One restaurant in particular was En Caragol on the road to Binibeca about 5 mins drive was excellent. It is situated beside the sea and food and service is excellent, you may have to book a table though as it is quite busy, but it is worth it.
I would advise anyone to hire a car for a couple of days because the island is so small and you can see the majority of it in a short time.

Anyone going here will really enjoy the villa, I myself would definately go back.

Punta Prima is perfect for a quiet family holiday.
The 15 minute transfer from Mahon is a big bonus, as is the compact nature of the resort.
Villa Linda is in a great location with a very good sized private pool and terrace, interiors are a bit dated but reasonably well equipped and most of our time was spent either in the pool or on the patio anyway.
The beach was lovely but our kids prefered the pool.

We managed to get through the week without a car, the supermarkets in resort had just about everything we wanted but were maybe a little pricey, 2 meals at Casa Fermin were excellent, very friendly staff.
Other meals taken at The Anchor, recently taken over by new people, excellent service and food, don't be put off by the English Pub idea, its not like that at all.
We tried the buffet at the Hotel Pueblo, 12 Euros, it was very good.
Also ate out in Binibeca after taking the road train up there. The Chinese restaurant was excellent.

All in all a great family holiday in a quiet, peaceful resort.
