We felt that we stepped back in time as regards to the overall decor and the entertainment more suitable for the older couple .From every room in the main block you can hear the entertainment until closing time every night except Friday Also to far away from the main resorts 20e in a taxi every day there and back soon adds up I went with high expectations unfortunately these were not met

But have to admit really enjoyed myself in the end entertainment good and besides from the snacks the food is ok, very clean and drinks are all good, what more could you ask for in an all inclusive ay?
Very quiet, but not far from las americas and most of the entertainment will be provided by the hotel some nice little bars 5 minutes walk must go and see kezza in the red lion !!!!!

I think most these reviews are about a completely different hotel. Pearly Grey Ocean Club is mostly a time share resort built with all Ocean facing rooms right on the cliff edge. There was another hotel further up in the town which I believe was called Ocean Club which was disgusting and has now closed but looked as if it was re opening under another name, when I last visited the area earlier this year. PLEASE CAN SOMEONE CORRECT THESE INACCURATE REVIEWS AND PUT THE REAL PEARLY GREY AT THE TOP WHERE IT BELONGS. Some people obviously didn't know where they were staying, which probably says more about them than the hotel.
Quiet and relaxing. Regular low cost bus service to busier resorts.

Stayed for 2 weeks and had a wonderful time. There was good entertainment every night and the bar staff were very friendly. The food was very good in the restaurant. We were fortunate to have an apartment overlooking the ocean and the bedroom in it was very big and contained a king size bed. This is a very family orientated place and there were holidaymakers of all ages. No lager louts The only disappointing aspect of the holiday was there was only a small black sand beach if you can call it that. However you can easily catch a local bus to some very good beaches at Las Americas or Los Cristianos.
We enjoyed ourselves so much we are returning for more in June 2007.

The hotel is in need of renovation and First Choice will no longer have the contract from later this year as it has apparently gone to TUI group who are going to use the hotel for Germans only. Staff who cannot speak German have apparently been told that there will be no jobs for them and this appeared to have affected their attitudes towards their customers - a few of them were rude to say the least!!! In fact one family emailed ";Watchdog"; from the hotel due to problems with the security guards who took a dislike to them.
Our room was very basic - there was a small kitchette area but no items to use with it - only 2 cups and 2 glasses. The patio door didn't lock, you had to fight with the shutters and the room wasn't cleaned while we were there - we also only had 1 change of towels. The door wouldn't shut properly and the toilet flush was broken.
The pool is not too bad but you can't wear T-shirts in the pool.
The food is poor - beef stroganoff 3 times in a week - the childrens menu contained fish doughnuts or fish fingers 6 days out of 7 with chicken nuggets on the other night. The snacks were not all day as advertised and the packed lunches were awful.
The entertainment was not too bad but you had to be there early to get a view of the stage.
The resort itself is more of a residential area. There are a few bars and restaurants and the ";beach"; is a quarry of rocks and pebbles!!! on one day there was a digger and lorry moving stuff around.
We won't be going back to this resort.
