Just returned from 2 weeks at Tropical Park (second visit).
The rooms are very clean and have everything you need including iron and and ironing board. The bars are the same price as outside and the restaurant is excellent value and food very good. All staff are very friendly and are on hand most of the time to help out or just to chat to.
There were activities for both adults and kids (inlcuding water polo and gladiators -on huge inflatables in the pool) during the day and kids disco at 8.00pm, followed by caberet (some better than others!), all centred around the pool bar. The atomosphere is great and really friendly. The games room and Pool tables stay open to 10.00pm then it's upstairs to Bar Tropical where Dawn hosts until the early hours- really good laugh. Would strongly recommend Tropical park if staying in Calleo Salvaje.
The resort itself is very quiet (about 30 mins from airport) but it only cost about 2 euros to get the bus 472/473 to Las americas or Los Cristianos just outside. Air conditioned and very reliable! Taxi costs about 15 Euros back for anyone wanting to stay out late!
The all you can eat chinese buffet 5.99 euros excellent value (the one nearest Beckhams is better). Steer clear of Beckhams. We went there 5 years ago and it was very good. This time had to wait for ages to place order, and about an hour for the food to arrive. The staff there are all miserable and didn't seem to care that you were on your holidays. A smile was never offered and even the colouring for the kids had to be asked for. They were not very welcoming at all! The food was not the best either. Every one we spoke to said the same.
Restaurant at Tropical park much better.
Bonnies Tea rooms does excellent cakes and patries and the cornish pasties are excellent. (all english ingredients.
Supermarket on complex stays open to 2am.
Pirates attack night out is excellent for everyone, meal and drinks inlcuded. Dolphin and Whale cruise also a great day.
There is no beach in Callao Salvaje but Porto Colon beach excellent, especially if you have kids. Water shallow and there is an inflatables park there. Sand has been imported from Sahara so it's not black!
All in all an excellent 2 weeks. Something for everyone at Tropical park.

What a pleasant surprise. We were worried that we were away from the main resorts that we had been to before. No need, this is a very nice, clean and up-coming area.
Booked a 3b apartment and had 2 x 1b apartments with a communicating sliding door which meant we had two of everything. The large balcony sat all seven of us for meals and looked out over both pools and the sea. Very clean complex and staff were very friendly but unobtrusive. Had two meals in complex restaurant but one was good and the other poor but found 3 very good restaurants and would recommend La Fonda. Our party had mixed re-actions to Beckham's.
Surprised to find that although we were there at the end of February, there was a full entertainment programme in the evenings and plenty of organised events for the children during the day. If you are looking for a total chill out holiday and just like to spend time round the pool, and some good restaurants this is the place for you.
Easy communication to Playa, Los Cristianos and Los Gigantes.
Found out when we got there, that complex offers an airport transfer service at a reasonable price ( 56 euros for seven of us each way)
We all enjoyed our time at Tropical Park and have certainly put it on our list for a return visit.

Excellent accommodation.Staff very friendly and helpful.Apartments Very big and very clean.Everything in you could want.Resort itself is quite small, but very relaxing.Ideal for families wanting a quite break. We ate out three times at Beckhams Bar and had excellent meals each time.Staff couldn,t do enough for you.Playa de las Americas is only short bus ride away, costing only couple of euros. Not as bad as what i expected re bad reviews.Places to visit if you have small children are Jungle park.My kids loved it.If you go during winter months, this place is in mountains,so take a jumper as quite cold.

This is a friendly family site with a restaurant, 2 swimming pools the top pool is quite and deep the bottom pool is more fun orinintated, the site has nightly entertainment and also a small disco on site the staff are all friendly and willing to help the town it's self is small and quite but they have some lovley resaurants and bars which cater some really nice meals we all had a really nice time but if you like it noisey and hectic this wouldn't be the place for you , the buses are good and reasonable costing about 1.90 euros to get to torviscas a taxie would cost 11 euros.

We had a fantastic 2 weeks at Tropical Park! Apartments were spacious, and very clean, maid service was 5 days a week which was really good. Entertainment during the day was excellent, the children were occupied all day every day, playing various sporting activities such as, water polo, football, tennis, and pool!
A place to definately visit, is the water park called Aqualand in Costa Adeje, the dolphin shows are amazing and should not be missed!! The water slides were good too although it does get very busy in the water park, and you may have to wait a while to get onto the slides, also food and drinks are very expensive so i would advise those who go to bring their own food and drinks. Overall it is a great day out for everyone!
The resort was ok, however its only small therefore there isnt much you can do there. However there are plenty of buses that can take you to the main towns such as Los Cristianos and Las Americas, which is good as these places are worth a visit if you want to go to a beach or want to go shopping.
Overall are holiday was excellent, and i cant fault anything to do with the resort or accomadtion! Also i would recommend this holiday to anyone, or any kind of family who were or are ever thinking of going to Tenerife as its definately worth a visit.
