Operator: Direct Holidays

Playa Paraiso is very small and hilly. Not very pretty and only a few bars.

4 Star maybe not more like a good 3 Star rating would be more correct, we stayed for one week on the 7th floor with a peaceful room overlooking the pools and facing the Ibrostar Hotel with an angled balcony view of the sea The location is very good for th...

"OK for a sunny break"

Submitted in November 2008 by: George

Operator: Portland Holidays

The resort seems fine - a real mix of really downmarket and really quiet nice so something for everyone I guess. Lots of British influence which is a shame, and not nearly enough Tapas bars etc. But if its sun, sand and sangria you want then its got it all.

OverallAverage Hotel

The hotel is a little jaded - it looks like it needs a bit of a revamp but its not bad. The rooms are ok (although some have baths that are so set back in an alcove that the only way to turn on the water is to be stood in the bath (not great if the bath has...

Resort was excellent for choice of eating places, lots of variety, some better value than others definitely worth shopping around, only downside was the PR's trying to "persuade" you to eat in their restaurants, but a polite "no thanks" was enough to put them off , and there was a lot of street sellers all over the place, selling sunglasses, jewellery, xmas gifts! Again a polite No seemed to put them off (until you saw them the next time) The beaches were lovely and clean, and the sea also. If you wanted a livelier night out Las Americas on the strip called Veronicas is for you, it was more for the younger holiday makers but early on in the evening it made for a nice walk, to the bars and shops. Overall very nice resort.
