Not much to say on this resort really apart from the following points

1. Dont go there
2. Dont stay at this hotel as it is a french only hotel which the tour operators fail to tell you!
3. Food is cold
4. Entertainment programme consists of ballroom dancing every night oh sorry once a week its flamenco dancing!!!!!!
5. all inclusive guests get very small drinks in white plastic cups even hot drinks
6. snacks consist of stale biscuits and flimsy pancakes!
7.Pool is freezing cold.
8. All the hotel worker s and entertainment staff only speak FRENCH!!!!!!!!!

And finally the hotel it self is actually quite well maintained if you are french and boring i would absolutly reccommend this holiday for you but if you are british i wouldnt reccommend this hotel as you can tell we wont be going back to this hotel.

Just returned from a 2nd holiday at Parque Don Jose, where we stayed in the section of apartments owned by the Tenereife Sun Club. These are timeshare apartments but are rented out by various travel agents for quite a good price (we payed £200 for a 1 bed apt which slept 4). The bonus of staying in this part is that as they are usually used by time-share owners there are lots of extras like washing machine, iron and ironing board, video etc. The apartment was spacious and the comlex fine; 2 pools, only 1 of which was warm enough to use but it was January!

Parque Don Jose is near to Ten Bel, the commercial centre of El Chaparal (shops and restaurants) and a 15 min walk from Las Galletas. The latter, despite being a bit ugly, is quite unique in Tenerife as it's full of Spanish people which is nice! Also means there are a lot of Spanish bars and restaurants. The seafront in Las Galletas is nice, with a lot of seafood restaurants and lovely heladerias (ice cream bars).

Nearer to the apartments it's less appealing, with lots of British bars (great if you just want the UK with sun for your holiday, but otherwise a bit grim)

However, we recommend the Monte Verde restaurant in the El Chapparal commercial bit for fantastic steaks flame-cooked in front of you for a very cheap price (very difficult to spend more than £20 per couple with lots of wine plus 3 course meal)

We went to Las Americas for 1 day and that was enough; have been there before for a night out but it's just not worth the hassle! You can't get down the street (day or night) without being hassled by reps for timeshare, bars, clubs etc.

The obvious thing to do in Tenerife is to go up Teide- try not to go on an excursion as they rarely allocate time to get the cable car to the top which is fantastic! We hired a car for a few days and drove up, so you can stop for views all the way... The cable car trip is a bit pricey at 20 euros each but well worth it. You'll regret it if you don't!

We chose Tenerife for a cheap holiday where you are almost guaranteed good winter weather and that's what we got. Don't expect glorious beaches and hire a car and explore and you will have a great time!
