"Royal Sun Apartments review"
Overall Hotel Rating:
This is a top notch place. the staff are freindly the apartments a dream. You see the sun setting outside your balcony and la Gomera the island too. The dolphins and loro park are great, checkouthte tour with Leon heis the most informative tour guiy ever, onthe trip to La gomera. If you get to see him tell him the turkish couple still rave about him! Frankie is the manager of the Royal sun and he has a heart of pure gold. He helped us out alot when he didnt have to and I owe him alot. Tito one of the recption staff is a dream and very very kind, the walkto the shops is very steep so taxis are better and cheap about 2.50 euros a trip. Miss Vigilia Park top floor unless you have to see a presentation dont buy or sign anything it will ruin a perfectly good holiday. Do the nostromo trip but be prepared to dance!!! the guys onboard are fabulous and speak atleast 5 languages! if you go to the Royal sun tell them I am still raving about them and They desrve all the positive news they get!!! what a fabulous resort! 11/10!

Palmair were excellent, being seen off by the MD at Bournemouth is an absolute gem. The flight crew were excellent - if you live near Bournemouth then I'd always recommend them.
Royal Sun Apartments are excellent and fully lived up to the high expectations that other reviewers and the brochure had set. All the facilities you could want (take your own dishwasher tabs as you'll only need a couple and buying a small box is overkill).
The very best bit about the apartments is the terrace which covers half of the apartment below. If you don't want to move from your own doorstep you have all the sunbathing area you could want and the sun blinds provide privacy from the terrace above.
We loved the apartments and Los Gigantes so much we're going back for another week but a few hours on the internet and a couple of phone calls has saved me 30% by booking my own flights and dealing with the apartments direct - sorry Palmair.

Overall Hotel Rating:
Just returned from the Royal Sun Apartments. They are excellent - very roomy with a full kitchen including dishwasher. Huge balcony with a stunning view of Los Gigantes, the harbour and the wonderful sunsets. On site facilities are good with two restaurants, supermaket and nice pool area.
After visiting Las Americas for a few hours (filthy)I appreciated Los Gigantes even more. It is small but has enough bars and restaurants to provide enough choice. Miranda's was the best and I can thoroughly recommend the Steak Sizzler.
Weather was mixed but piping hot when the clouds departed. It was my first visit to Tenerife. It is ok for an off season bit of sun although I will never get use to the black sand it just doesn't make the beaches inviting. I am just pleased I changed my mind and didn't book a late allocation on arrival holiday. The thought of a hotel in Las Americas wasn't worth thinking of. Could be my age though.
