The nightlife is amazing, would definitly go back!! Everyone is really friendly, but the beaches werent too good. The best bars are around starco!

The roads and pavements are still undergoing upgrading in the resort, at present Av del Quinto Centenario is being finished off after being made one way and the promenade walkway between the Casino and the harbour is being refurbished and is closed off in parts. The work that has already been completed around the resort has made a vast improvement in particular the one way system and wider pavements have made the resort much more pedestrian friendly.

Lovely clean resort, with pleasant walks along the sea front to Los Christanos (about 1 mile) everywhere looked fresh, with lovely flower beds etc.Perfect.

good resort excellent bars and eating out lovely beaches i just love this place. Been here four times going back in sept 2010 check out beach front restaurants for nightly entertainment food is cheap some bars charge more for drinks than others but not much more at night. During the day be careful most bars only charge 1 euro or 1.50 euro any more than that walk away always ask first breakfast from 2- 3 euro 3 course at night 6 - 8 euro loads to do ans see any trips you want to go on dont book with holiday reps cheaper you do it in resort check out the kiosk beside lugunna park I or if you want a boat trip haggle at the sea front for the best deal. happy holidays

You can't classify Playa de las Americas as one particular sort of resort. It's (nearly) all things to all holidaymakers. From the Del Duque end, with its fine beach and top class shopping & eating; to the Veronicas nightlife area that will fill people with glee or dread, depending on their age; to everything in between.

Las Americas caters for all.

That's not to say it's perfect, because it's far from that. Much of it is dirty, tired and has that sewery smell about it. And - my own personal issue - it's a favourite haunt of the cockroach. But that describes most major Spanish/Portugese resorts. What it does, is provide at least "something" for all tastes.

I quite like the place.

Lots of pubs clubs and places to eat out. Suitable for all ages. The water park was brilliant one of the best I have been at even better than some in Florida well worth the visit. The shops are great, and we walked along to Los Cristianos on a few occasions which was very nice as the beach along there is lovely.

Use cristianos beach, taxi is like 5 euoro! its fab! bannana boat with lianne - so funny!

Go to siam park, it is brill, the wave machine make the biggest waves iv ever seen, foods nice to!

we mostly went to cally bar, te bit beneath tramps (forgoten name ha) and linikers (brilliant night) tell them its ur bday for champange!

we did a pubcrawl that we got tickets from a english lass on a scooter - it was a brilliant night, and we ddnt get conned!

Love las americas. First place I visited abroad two and half years ago and have already returned three more times and hope to visit again in the near future. Apart from the obvious advantage of the weather the resort caters for all ages, and think that the selection for who it would suit most should be broader. Have been with varied age groups and it works for everybody. Tried self catering and half board and both as good. If you want to dine out there are plenty of different restaurants at reasonable prices. The beaches are excellent and kept clean at all times with plenty of facilities close by. There are plenty of things to do and various coach outings. Its up to you but the resort caters for if you want to be on the go or just chill. Night entertainment - certainly plenty of variation. Wish I could go more often.

We preferred the area in which parque santiago apartments were situation as opposed to the central area of Las Americas.

Playa de las Americas is a nice town, lots of good bars and restaurants and the beach is really nice. The weather was decent, sunny and mild most of the time. Going on the trip to the mountains was good.

Clean, friendly, plenty of restuarents & bars with reasonable prices. coastal walk enjoyable. only 25 mins from airport. bit noisy outside hotel, but acceptable

There is plenty to do for everyone, If you want to relax by the pool, go to the beaches, explore the island and see volcanoes and do motoring safaris, eat out at the many restaurants or go to bars and clubs till the early hours there is something for you to do.

Playa De Las Americas has everything you need for either a relaxing holiday or a great time in the bars and clubs. There is something for eveyone- restaurants, bars, Mini-Golf, clubs, many shops, supermarkets for those that are self-catering and play areas for the children. Overall, the resort is excellent and I am certainly going back again this year.
