There is no lift, receptionists who are really security gurds from 5pm onwards? We were on the 4th floor facing the main road, traffic all night. The stairs leading up to the 4th fl were filthy, tho we had no cockroaches and the apt wasnt too bad, except for the toaster socker which was hanging off the wall. We had only two towel changes for the week for five women.. the cooker was vnew, but the fridge on the last legs, with the shelf on the door hanging off.. The resort was fantastic, and we still had a great time, but wouldnt stay in Las Floritas again even if it was free!! So, enjoy your holiday, but loads of nicer places to stay.

We booked this from www.las-floritas.co.uk and was very happy with our apartment. It was very clean and well positioned overlooking the pool. The pool was fantastic for the kids and kept them happy all day everyday. Plenty to do on your doorstep and close to all other amenities so you did not have to go far to eat or drink. The new water park SIAM is well worht a visit also. A very good place to stay and will be returning next year also.

We stayed here last May 08 with the 2 kids (11 and 14) and then me and my husband went back again in August 08 and we've just booked to go back in June 09, after reading the other reviews I was really worried, but I had nothing to worry about both times the rooms were clean, and spacious, the first time we went we used the cooking facilities a few times, which were spot on, if theirs anything you need the staff will help out, the night guard is a good laugh and the Whisky Jar is fantastic, its home from home. If you stay on the block of apartments next to the road it can get noisy, but its so hot that we just slept in the front room, so weren't bothered with the noise. Everyone has different views, but I can't help wondering if some people just like to moan about things, after all its clean, friendly and more importantly cheap what more do you want from a 2 key apartments?? Hopefully this review will put people mines at rest a bit, just have a great time!

we had an amazing holiday in tenerife. was a bit worried about reading the review on the floritas but when we got there it was nothing like the reviews i had read. the apartments were very clean and the maid came in 5 times a week. the only bad thing was the noise when people were coming home from the clubs atm 6am. they were jumping in the pools and ringing peoples door bells. but once the managments made some rules this stopped. its in the centre of all night life and only a 5 minute walk away from all the entertainment. would def go back.

stayed in these apartments in August 2007 will not go back. Got woken up by people coming in and security was not going to do anything about it until he saw my husband on the balcony. There are two brothels here one upstairs and one by the entrance and if you have a pushchair you have to pass it... not nice for young children.. the pool could do with a refurbish as the paint was peeling and looked dirty..also on the saturday night the local people went on the carpark of the stadium opposite and played music blast high so it woke up quite a few people...I would not recomend these apartments.

Well where do i start....
Our first impression of the apartments was they were basic but ok and pretty good location. Staff were not to friendly and there was no lifts, us being two girls had trouble trying to get our cases up the stairs and staff didn't even attempt to help. However we got there in the end and our apartment was ok. We had a good few days, went to strako every night it was very good! Lots of brill bars like linikers, yates, Edwards and a fantastic club Rags.

On our third last day we decided to stay at the pool. I went down first to get mony for the phone and my friend stayed in the apartment, i was out for 2mins and my friend heard a knock at the door however when she anwered no-one was there, she didn't think anything of it and came down to meet me. we were there for a few hours and headed back up to our apartment when we decided to check to see how much money we had left. We went into our fully locked safe to find all of our money had gone about 300.00gbp worth of euros. we seached high and low thinking we might have put it somewhere eles however there was no sign of it. Anyway the next day we were scared and decided to stay in that night incase anything eles got taken.

About 4 in the morning we were in bed and there was a knock at the door we both froze. It was two men as we could hear them outside one of them put a key in our lock but luckily we had left our key in just incase. We were terrified so we jumped up and they started banging on our walls, we ran into the bathroom and locked the door. We didn't know what to do! We stayed there until the noise stopped. After that we did not slept as u can imagine. On our last night dispite everything that had happened we decided to go out and have a good night. We got in about 6 in the moring and our stuff had been destroyed! ours make-up was tipped into the sink, my ghds were broke, my phone charger was broke, my ipod was stolen and my friends ipod speakers were also taken. We ran to reception and tryed to tell the women but she keep saying she could not understand us telling us to come back later. We didn't know what to do so we decided to wait and tell our rep when they came to pick us up. The maids told us to get out the apartment at 11 and we thought it was 12 we had to be out for, they were not happy and keep ringing our phone! we got to reception to hand in the keys and there was a man there who could talk english we told him what had happened and he said ";are you acussing me and my staff? it is impossible that anyone could get in to your apartment or your safe. It is not my problem"; Me and my friend were VERY upset so we tryed to find the police station but it was too late our bus was already there to pick us up and it wasn't even our rep that was there.
We have never been so scared in our lives.
For all you teen's looking to go on holiday with friends for the first time I would not recommend THESE APARTMENTS.. I feel we were targeted due to our age.

Booked late for a quick week away at easter and read the reviews afterwards. The Las Floritas write up did not fill us with confidence. We arrived to a sunny Tenerife airport and jumped in a taxi (20 euros). The entrance to the apartments is between a bar and a restaurant on a busy road. Reception was helpful and we were soon sorted and on our way out through the pool area. Our room was located directly above the pool bar on the second floor. It was clean, modern, roomy, well equipped and got the sun all day on the patio. The pool was cool and clean. The bar closed at seven so no problems with late night drinking etc. We saw NO cockroaches, Had no problems with noise, The room had a basic clean 3 or 4 times during the week. All in all it was good basic accommodation. The so called brthel near the entrance was never a problem, in fact if we hadn't of read about it then we wouldn't have known it was there. It is above street level and not a problem even if you have kids.

We ate breakfast most mornings at Mathews, turn left out of the hotel and its next door but one. Good food at a realistic price in nice surroundings run by an English couple. Michaleangelos Italian (right out of the hotel, right again, on the right)Served us with fantastic food on two nights. The line of people waiting is testimony to the quality. My wife was gaga at the stunning male waiters, all in all a top class restaurant. The irish bar called the Chieftan had a really entertaining duo on every night. Real instruments and off the cuff banter made it entertaining. All the other resort entertainment was typical tenerife cover singers. One thing to note is that all the entertainers have put on loads of weight and about 15 years in age since the advertising photos were taken!

Although the resort overall was quiet we had a good time with no problems, fantastic sunshine, good food, nice apartment what more could you ask for?

After booking Apartments Parque de la paz and two weeks before we were due to fly being told that we were overbooked (once again might I add) we were not looking forward to going to these apartments. It took 20 minutes to walk to these apartments from where we should have been originally staying.

The apartments were quite big and spacious but needed to be updated. In the kitchen area was a gas cooker that smelled of gas for the whole week that we were there. The toaster did not work. In the bedroom a wall light was hanging off the wall and sparked when the lights went on. The bathroom had a big black whole in a cupboard that was supposed to be the airvent, I dread to think what was behind the mesh netting in this ill fitted cupboard. Yes there were cockroaches, loads around the pool area, the pool was also filthy. Also the brochure does not tell you about the brothel two doors away either.

Tenerife itself is excellent, a new shopping centre and fountain area with restaurants and bars have been built since we were last there 7 years ago. The mexican in the plaza was especially nice.

Go to Tenerife but do not stay in these apartments, book somewhere better.

we arrived late at night a party of 8 plus a young child. First thing i found was a cockroach on toilet seat and in the bath. I thought immediatly holidays from hell. I demanded we changed apartment the next day and when we did we got a much nicer apartment. But we couldnt leave the windows open as cockroachs flew in and I'm terrified of them. A lot of the time the pool was dirty.

I wouldnt advise parents to go here, it wasnt the worst of all places but I certainly wouldnt go back.

We have just stayed 2 weeks at the Las Floritas and would like to say that this accommodation is first class. The apartments are basic but were regularly cleaned and the towels were changed every 2 days. Our apartment (1-6) was just beside the pool. The only down side was that there was no entertainment in the complex at all and the pool bar closed at 7pm. But there was plenty of entertainment for all ages in the resort. The food on offer from the variety of restaurants was first class our favourite was ''The Wigan Pier''. The Water Park was a great day out. We also went to Loro Park this is a very busy place and we had to queue for ages to get food.

We would love to go back to Tenerife. There definitely is something for everyone in Tenerife!!

Overall Hotel Rating:

Open quote

I had read a lot of reviews about the Las Flortias Apartments before we decided to book and was quite confident that we would be going to nice apartments. Unfortunately, that did not turn out to be the case.

On arrival, we were dropped off about 200 yards away and walked along the pavement, beginning to wonder, ";where are these apartments?"; when the rep said, ";here you are";. We looked and thought, ";Is this it?"; We were met with a set of stairs leading down to the reception and a rather old looking canopy with the name of the apartments. On walking down the stairs, found a very basic reception with the receptionist smoking a cigarette. Not good first impressions. We were given our key and then directed to go out via the pool area to our apartment. This involved negotiating suitcases around the sunbathers at the pool! We had a ground floor apartment facing into the pool area.

On entering the apartment, we found it was very basic, which wasn't a problem, but it was not very clean. The wardrobe was large enough, but had a set of drawers, which hadn't seen a coat of paint since the day the place opened, they looked dirty both on the exterior and interior, as were the coat hangers. The drawers were also damaged and it was apparent that no effort had been made to repair them. The sheets on one of the beds had a large greasy stain on it.

The bathroom wasn't much better. For some reason, the cleaners store the bucket, mop, brush and pan in the bathroom, which is not very hygienic. The shower curtain was mouldy. The lights above the mirror had not been dusted for many months and the mirror was ancient and obviously deteriorating with the dampness. It was virtually impossible to have a shower without a puddle forming in the hallway! Do take your own towels, as the towels they provide, which are changed every two days, are grey and holed.

The fridge was clean, which was a bonus and the cutlery, crockery etc appeared to be clean, but we had already decided we would not be cooking in the apartment.

The living room furniture needed cleaned and there were holes on the seats from cigarette burns. The balcony furniture was not clean.

Paying for the TV?? Paying for the sunbeds?? It does tell you that in the brochure, but I have never had to pay for these kinds of things in the apartment/hotel complex before.

The apartments do look nice from the pool area though. A few of them are privately owned.

The pool area was nice, although they seem to clean the pool area at about 10am. It was November when we were there, so I don't know what the arrangement is in the summer. It would make more sense to clean the pool area at night. The sunbeds really need cleaned. The pool bar is ok. Food is ok for a quick snack.

We asked for a transfer, to be told it would cost £1000 euros!! We were only there for a week and the holiday itself didn't even cost that much.

The location of the apartments was good.

Would definitely recommend Michelangelo's Restaurant and The Aberdeen Steak House, which are just around the corner from the apartments if you turn right as you come up the stairs and then take the next right. Also, Food City, a Chinese/Japanese, which is further down that road and then, turn left when you get to the bottom.

I certainly would not recommend the Las Floritas to anyone. Thankfully, we were only there for a week.
