The Hotel i stayed at was called Club Parasio, for a 3 star hotel it wasn't up to scratch. The food was of limited choise and not cooked very well and there was the same entertainment every night.Fist Choise should re-evaluate this Hotel. It cost's a small fortune to get anywhere, buses are unreliable. Also in the week we stayed the rep showed up twice.
On the up side the trips (Booked not with the rep) were very good and make sure you shop around to get the best price. I recomend the whales and dolphin trip. In gerneral don't book a AoA with First Choise to tenerife because you will end up there, everyone we spoke to was AoA, and you are miles away from everything.

The hotel was of good Value for a 3* Hotel and was kept very clean. The Staff were friendly and very helpful. We had daily room service which was good considereing this is an aparthotel. On New Years Eve we had a really good time and all the staff were fantastic trying to make it enjoyable for everyone. They really went to town.
Would we go back yes we would. Infact we are travelling out there again for this years New Year's Eve Celebrations, if it was like last years then it will be one to remember.

This has been our first visit to the Canaries. We were very impressed with the weather, it was great to experience summer weather in November.
We were after a cheap late booking with hopefully decent weather. After plenty of searching around we decided to arrange our trip myself. We found the cost to be very similar to an organised trip and because we were looking at the cheap end of the market, it allowed me to choose the accomodation rather than being allocated something at the last minute. We ended up booking flights with BA, which were at convenient times, and accomodation through alpha-beds.com. We also booked a rental car for the week through holidayautos.co.uk. The trip was very straightforward with both car rental and hotel having our details when we arrived.
As indicated the hotel is good. Everything was clean and the room was spaceous. We were on the 5th floor (out of 16) and enjoyed our balcony a lot. The view was marred by a another 16 floor building but we could still peer round it for our seaview. It was rather noisy. During the day there was plenty of building work happening around the hotel and at night the accoustics bouncing of the big building opposite meant that the downstairs entertainment was quite audible. (We never go to the entertainment put on so cannot comment there). Note though that normally we are quite sensitive to noise but we did not experience it as a problem. Also the entertainment stopped exactly at midnight which meant no sleeping problems.
The pool was great but we did not find anywhere shallow enough for our 5 year old to stand. Not a problem for us as she is swimming but be aware. There is another lovely pool in the resort that does offer shallow kiddy pools.
The resort is below average. There are a few bars and shops but other than the aforementioned pool it has nothing to offer. Again not a problem for us as we rented a car but be aware if you are not. I think when we go again we will aim for something like Los Cristianos which has a great atmosphere, but will be more expensive. (Park Santiago III, looked great.)
Foodwise the hotel aims for quantity rather than quality. We visited the Chinese opposite the hotel several times and found them better than our local in UK.
In conclusion we had a great time. The gripes above were minor ones and perfectly acceptable considering what we paid for our accomodation. Also having read other reviews on the site here, our expectations were set at the right level.
Good accomodation nice hotel. Two excellent pools.Food good, entertainment poor.
Aberdeen steak house great for breakfast and dinner.
Scorpios good entertainment English hosts.

Small unused beach but excellent seawater lido very reasonable.
Plenty of gift shops but make sure you barter for better price.
Free bus service to Los Americas a figment of imagination but good bus service.
The black beach at San Diego a 20 min bus ride and Los Gigantes 25 min bus ride both
on 473 route worth a visit.
Health insurance a must as you will not get medical treatment without.
A good mix of nationalities.
Hotels still being built in area.
A family resort rather than youngsters.
Have Fun!

If you are looking for a beach holiday then this is not the place to go to. what beach there is at present is earmarked for a hotel to be built on and that really sums up playa paraiso. lots of development (building sites) is taking place although the noise is relativly small compared to the long noisy evenings. Being such a compact resort we was really limited to only a few bars of which plenty of kareoke takes place and the landlords are friendly. The cabaret club is well worth a visit for a good nights entertaintment.
As for eating out well the aberdeen steak house gets full marks for value for money and the steaks are out of this world. As for the hotel, well fairly clean but furniture in a poor state, and no kettles etc in self catering but on a plus side the pools were great.
Would visit tenerife again and the people and the weather were superb but as for playa paraiso its up to what the individual wants from a holiday. A holiday is what you make of it after all
