Good standards are set as you check in with a welcome glass of orange juice. The rooms are of a good standard with a small fridge, the chairs on the balcony have reclining back which makes them very relaxing. The rooms are cleaned every day & the linen is changed every other day towels are changed if you leave the dirty ones in the bath. The food is very good with an excellent choice at both breakfast and dinner. There is show cooking stations for meat and fish. The sweets are to die for with 3 or 4 gateaux's flambe crepe's and a wide choice of ice cream. The only down side was the price of the drinks 1.90euro for a litre of water. Drinks are far cheaper at the local bars. Do try the Wiggan pier for a good night. The entertainment at the hotel is of a high standard put on by the hotel team. I will certainly stay here again.

The apartment Villas Canarias was not what we bargained for.It was a 1 bed apartment, kitchen which consisted of a sink, 2 ring hob, No Oven, NO Kettle No Toaster, a fridge which had the wires hanging out of the socket. The bathroom clean an spacious. Maid service most days plenty of clean towels. The pool very cold and the kids pool too deep!It was situated up a steep hill, great for the calf muscles. But taxis were a cheap ride 3 euro to the beach. We were allowed to use the facilities at the Regency which were very good! Had to be coz it is timeshare! Hassled from the day we got there, went on the timeshare tour but rep got stroppy when we finally walked out after 3 hours hard sell!
Visited Aqua park which is very expensive for what it is, the dolphin show was very good though.
Some good bars and restaraunts in Las Americas, food cheap , beer and wine same as home.
The weather was gorgeous which made our stay worthwhile.
Wouldnt go back to tenerife for along time and definately not to Villas Canarias or with Lets Go Canaries.

When we arrived at Villa Canarias we were a bit surprised by the high wire fence and the locked gates. Only the gate at reception is ever open. We were further surprised when on checking in, the receptionist handed us a map of the area, then drew a circle round a complex called Zanadu and told us ";you are here";
The apartment we were allocated was well decorated, bright spacious and clean, and we were quite impressed by it, until that is, we discovered early on Monday morning the kitchen area swarming with cockroaches, some of them huge (2.5 inches long). We were utterly shocked and disgusted. Following heated discussions with the management who seemed neither surprised or bothered, our apartment was fumigated the same day and thereafter each morning we found only dead cockroaches. We were told by the management that if we come to Tenerife we have to expect to get cockroaches. If we could have got home Monday we would have. From the Monday until we left on the Saturday we hardly slept, we kept all the lights on the whole time.
Although the apartment was quite literally 'lousy' we did enjoy Coste Adeje, the weather was beautiful and the views superb. We loved to walk the promenade along the waterfront, find a restaurant with a view, eat there and then read while spinning out a few 'pints' of lager. The word 'pint' in Coste Adeje seems to mean something closely resembling a half-pint in the UK. We ate out the whole time as we couldn't bring ourselves to cook in the apartment and some of the restaurants were very good. In particular we liked the Blue Marlin, and eat there three evenings.
The Villa Canarias is advertised as 1000 meters from the beach. It is more like 1.5 miles and this translates to a 25 minute uphill walk taking in two busy road junctions.
We gave up on walking back to the apartments and settled for taking taxis, which were quite cheap usually between 3 and 4 euros per trip. There would appear to be no speed limit for drivers, certainly not the taxi drivers.
We took a trip to Mount Teide and we would heartily recommend it, but we found afterwards we could have made the trip much cheaper if we had shopped around in the town instead of booking through the Villa Canarias.
We will go back to Coste Adeje, but never to the Villa Canarias or whatever it will be called next year.

Just returned from the Villas Canarias after booking a last minute deal. After we were given directions to our appartment, my frst impression was that the room was very spacious and clean. This is the first time we had been self catering as we normally go all inclusive or half board because if we can't be bothered going into the resort centre entertainment was always provided in the hotel. The first thing what caught my eye was the lack of facilities in the kitchen. THERE WAS ONLY 2 HOB RINGS??? No Oven, No Microwave, No Kettle, No Toaster. How were you suppose to cook with only 2 hobs?????????????????
If you get a choice ask for a ground floor room as there are spiral stairs to the first floor appartments which looked difficult to get your suitcases up.. Also watch where you stand as there are many cockroaches about the hotel grounds, luckly we only found 2 in the room but the appartment above us had quite a few....
We went to the nearest Netto which wasn't that far away to stock up on some essential which wasn't much due to the lack of cooking facilities.
The hotel pool was very nice with plenty of sunloungers, this was one hotel that you didn't have to get up at first daylight to put your towels on the loungers as most other hotels we have been to, I suppose the hotel was quite at the time when we were there. There was a pool bar and a supermarket next to the pool which served snacks and drinks which you had to wait ages for at both as only 1 person was in the shop, serving drinks and doing the cooking!!
As we were self catering we never ate in the restaurant but from what other people said the food wasn't up to much.
There was no entertainment on at all in the hotel, one night we were tired so decided to have a drink in the hotel only to find there was only 1 bar which was the pool bar and this was closed. It was only 9 p.m!!!!!
As advertised on the internet it says this hotel is in the resort centre!!! This is untrue you have to walk 5/10 minutes to get there (including crossing the motorway bridge) which is fine as this is downhill. BEWARE THE WALK BACK IS A KILLER AS IT'S ALL UPHILL....NIGHTMARE, never mind i've got strong logs after walking that for a week. Didn't seem worth getting a taxi for the distance. P.S Watch out for all the cars especially near the motorway sliproads as they all drive like idiots over there and even when your on the crossings they don't stop..
The actual resort centre was nice, we went to loads of restaurants but would recommend a place called El Classico, very cheap and the food is excellent. 6.60 Euros for a 3 course meal of your choice, now beat that....
All in all we had a good holiday and I would go back to Tenerife but I wouldn't stay in the Villas Canarias again, mainly due to the fact of it's location.

Here the problems begin. The hotel itself is like a prison camp, all gates are locked apart from the main entrance.the buildings are beautifully decorated in the darkest blue, grottiest green, rancid yellow and darkest terracotta. What a vision.
The staff are indifferent to say the least. For example on explaining that our son had broken a glass on the terrace area of the pool, the staff said yes, yes we will clean it up but nothing has happened two days later! the rooms themselves are fine apart from the fact that every sound, and we mean every sound can be heard from neighbouring apartments. The maids do not clean properly, a sign in the bedroom states ";we do not do kitchens";. They clean every day of the week with the exception of Friday, Sunday and Tuesdays and even when they do clean they seem to not see anything on the floor.
the villas are situated at the base of a mountain - marvellous if you love clouds. You are one and a half kms from the beach not as we were told 500 meters by Hotelopia. PS. don't forget about the major roads you have to cross just to get there!
All in all we wish we had never booked - be warned!

we stayed in Villas canarias in March 05. The appartments seem to have been done up since it was called Zanadu. The app was big and clean with nothing broken as previously reported. Facilities were limited if you intendet to cook, with only 2 rings one saucepan and a kettle with a wrong plug, and no toaster oven or microwave. We werent bothered about cooking. Food is cheap in resturants, but soft drinks are xpensive, anything from 1.50 to 3 euro for a coke, mostly around 2.50.
We did not like the location. This appartment is in 4 blocks on a hill about a mile from the beach and resort centre. it is a busy uninteresting road down, having to cross the road a couple of times. We didnt walk back, but got a taxi everytime costing 2.50 from the beach or 6 euro approx from Veronicas. when inside the complex one must then go down steps to your appartment or up to block 4. It is surrounded by a wire fence, which does nothing for the complex. the pool is nice , but cold and there are plenty of sunbeds. I wouldnt stay at these appartments again mainly because of the location.
The island tour was interesting.
The sky park was a rip off. All we see there was a nice toddler pool and a nice big pool. Nothing else was operating and it appeared you had to pay extra if it was,50 euro for a bungee jump etc
The jungle park was not that good either. We found it very cramped and very cold also. The weather was lovely in the resort the same day. We went to the Temple bar pub most nights in the San Eugeno area. It was lively with 2 blokes from Galway playing.
We enjoyed the holiday but would go to different appartments next time.
