"Widder Hotel"
Overall Hotel Rating:
The Widder is a delightful hotel in the oldest and most interesting part of the beautiful city of Zurich. It is an example of a design hotel done right (unlike The Hotel in Lucerne; see my review). Ten different houses have been ingeniously joined together. Each room is unique and offers a mix of both the old and the new. Our room, in the Augustiner house, was large and comfortable, with a desk, seating area, and large bathroom. The room was decorated with (restored) seventeenth century frescoes. The bathroom offered two sinks, a large tub, and a separate shower that was almost too small, even for a small person. The toiletries are abundant and of top quality. The mini-bar is included
