Well....The decor of the hotel is fantastic and it's ina great location, BUT when you're in your room at midnight and random people are unable to unlock your door and walk in you don't feel very safe not only did this happen we also had £200 stolen from hid...

Well....The decor of the hotel is fantastic and it's ina great location, BUT when you're in your room at midnight and random people are unable to unlock your door and walk in you don't feel very safe not only did this happen we also had £200 stolen from hidden places in our locked up luggage. Trust for this hotel is not recommended.

well where do i start..we flew into bangkok airport and just baked wen we got off the plane..baring in mind it was october and supposed to be monsoon..which it was..1 or 2 rainfalls per day but believe me.if you come from our shores you will welcome a drop of rain..the humidity is outrageous.

bangkok is such a cool place..its like london but 10 times as good for everything from shopping to eating to drinking [we did the latter lots and dont pay more than 6 or 7 quid to get a bit more than merry believe me]

the rembrandt hotel is out of this world marble floors and walls.clean as a whistle..people so helpfull they fall over to make sure your accomadated in the way you want..word of advice.take the free tuk tuk outside cos them tuk tuk salesmen outside can be a pain in the nether regions.it takes you to the bottom of the street to the famous sukumvic[think i spelt that right]road.then you can get a cab to wherever your goin.take a blue taxi cos their always meterd..dont be tempted to try yellow ones or tuk tuks.there death traps and or rip offs..

the markets can get a bit annoying if your no good at bartering so just either go to the siam center and pay a fixed price or whatever they say go half then half again to whatever they say..if a big no.walk off.theyl soon call you back.just have fun with it and if your happy with what youve paid then dont worry.at the end of the day you aint goin to be paying a lot even if its over the odds a bit.i paid about 2 quid max for a pair of decent quality and maybe fake trainers..they still havent fallen apart so im a happy chappy.even the wifes are still ok.just remember there are no piracy laws there so get cds dvds and clothes and jewels in an abundance.there always very good quality.

for food............most definately go to cabbages and condoms.its a funny name all set aside but the food is truly great..we struggled to spend 20quid for both of us inc wine with starter maincourse and desert.the setting is wonderful even tho just a 5 min walk you have a main road..honestly you would think your in a tropical island..and the staff just seem to come to you at the right times aswell.none of this waiting and getting jarred off wondering when your main course will arrive.

eat also in the rembrandt its not to expensive.even 24hr room service is impeccible and cheap.do get a suit tailored guys and girls.i got my suit fully lined and in linen for 80quid.you wont even get one from burtons for that.visit the grand palace its beautiful.drink mineral water.take loads of cash if you can.if you havent had all the nessasary jabs then dont go for the on-street food outlets just in case.even though the food looks and smells great.dont change money in the hotel cos there is plenty of places along the roads and shopping centers that will offer a better rate of exchange.enjoy bangkok..we did and were going bak this year..

so then we got our flights to krabi from bangkok airport[a bit of a nitemare port so just be a wee bit pushy ok]1hr 20min flight and your in a completely different place and time altogether..krabi airport is small but quick and non crowded or stressing.climate is kinda the same but nowhere near as humid as bangkok.

about an hr transfer and you at the andaman.at first you think your at a remote part of nowhere.takes about 10 mins to settle in then you know your in complete paradise..[i just say to people.imagine with your eyes closed theeeeeee most beautiful place in the whole wide world that you would like to be and this will be it]the apartments are plush.we had a room upgrade as soon as we arrived cos we were getting married there.the setting you will need to visit various websites in order to completely take it in.but its fandango beyond belief..the staff are wonderfull food again is superb its light on the pocket especially if you venture out of the hotel..namely there is one place called or wot we called as ninas bar..its just a left at the entrance to andaman and a 100 yds down the road.great company and service..there is also several other places to go down the same road which are in turn just as good.you lady wine drinkers it can get expensive for wine cos its imported.guys beer however is toooooooooooooooooo cheap and 6 point whatever volume.so it works...hahahaha.if you like you fish then have tiger prawns for sure.you wont find em fresher or better anywhere in the world..and again cheap as chips..

the andaman offer a cheap taxi to ao nang for 200 bahts a piece and thats where you will get all your shopping done..again leather jewels watches cds dvds the lot..or a private taxi right outside hotel for 1000 baht return..still good value cos he will pick you up when you wait and not at 9.30 wen the andaman one arrives for pick up.....blah blah blah ....the beach is one foot away from the hotel and is amazing.the water is blue and like taking a warm bath..not like skegness where your dodging various whatever hahahaha.

in all just have a great holiday like we did..if your planning a simular thing whereas your getting married or just holidaying in general.do not think of booking anywhere else other than the andaman next to nature and the rembrandt hotel bangkok it will truly be your best holiday ever..sorry for the long winded post but i wanted to capture as many aspects of the place as possible.if you want to know more then leave a message in reply to this one ane ill give you my email..and realy believe me there was so much more to say especially for anybody who is getting married in thailand..please go
