the pool ideal lots of space to swim play or lay on your sun lounger. the breakfast was loverly lots to choose from. the sunshine bakery jusy opposite the hotel well worth a visit for beautiful pastries to take out lots of choices for dining within minuites of the hotel with friendly welcome and mouth watering menus, we tried three of the local massage parlours and found each one very good value for facials manicures pedicures and that all inportant thai massage. We found the local tuk tuk cheap and friendly we hired a tuk tuk between us for the day and went to one of the national parks this cost about 20 pounds bit slow but this turned out to be a bonus it allowed us to take in the wonderful scenes along the way best day out we had at P Lao U waterfalls.
we did the elephant treking this was enjoyable , but if your planning to visit Chang Mai i would suggest to do your elephant treks there , Hua Hin is a loverly friendly place to visit and the Hilton a top quality hotel who add those special touces that make all the difference on my birthday i was surprised to find a card and a birthday cake along with orchids waiting for me in my room.
We were recommended Thailand by my dad who frequently visits Pattaya but with a three year old everything had to be bob on. We were put in touch with a specialist Thailand Operator who recommended the Hilton at Hua Hin (home of the Thai Royal family).

So this was what we opted for. We flew from Manchester to Qtar then onto Bangkok the flight was long and we were shattered. We then had a three hour car journey to Hua Hin but on arrival at the hotel we were greeted with lemon tea and cold face clothes. We were then shown to our room which was fabulous with two big double beds, a lovely balcony overlooking the sea and a massive bathroom with walk in shower. Hua Hin is a lovely quaint place with a real buzz to it, in parts the streets were quite narrow with street sellers lining them who although approached us could take no for an answer.
Days were spent lazing round the pool (my little boy loved the slide into the pool and the horses on Hua Hin beach which he rode on most days). We would usually venture into Hua Hin in the afternoon and have coffee, that was the great thing about the Hilton its location (it was in the best part of town).
There were so many eating places but we loved the Wharfs which were piers jutting out into the sea where we ate full sea bass, giant prawns and scallops at around £10 for three of us. At night the night market is superb with many bargains to be had and the experience of it is second to none.
We went on two excurions to Sam Roi National Park and Elephant Trekking, these were both great experiences and you feel that you get to see some of the real Thailand.
I think what made the holiday for us and set it apart from the rest were the people they just can't do enough for you (especially with us having a blonde three year old). I would defintely recommend the Hilton it is luxurious without being pretentious and it is quite cheap.
We are going back to Thailand in April this time Koh Samui - CEntral Samui Beach Resort. The trouble is after experiencing Thailand nothing else compares!!
