Fairhouse Beach Resort Reviews

On arrival at Koh Samui Airport we were greeted by our rep. As there were 11 in our party we had two minibuses to take us the short journey to the holiday. We were given ice cold towels which were very welcoming on board. On arrival at the hotel we were greeted with further ice cold towels and cold drinks. From the time we arrived until the time we went home the service and care we received was second to none.

The standard bungalows were more than adequate. Very clean and amongst the coconut groves. You felt you were in the jungle with the sound of all different types of birds. The beach outside the hotel was beautiful with white sand and turquoise sea. It was like walking into a bath. Sheer paradise.

A little way along the beach is a bar/restaurant called Rockview. It doesn't look much but the food is lovely and fresh with ice cold drinks. Seating is very limited only about a dozen seats. Our rep arranged for us to have a Thai meal at the Blue Star Restaurant which is the other way along the beach. We all walked along the sand to the restaurant and on arrival we were greeted by very friendly staff. There was one long table on the beach with 11 seats, candles and music. So romantic! Thought I'd died and gone to heaven.

Chaweng is just a short ride away so plenty of bars and restaurants. We always bartered for a discount and always got one averaging from 5 to 15% off the meal. Try the Irish Bar - very welcoming with excellent food and a nice pint of Guinness but very expensive compared to the local brew. It's also a shoppers paradise - you can pick up a Gucci bag for around £4.00.

All 11 of us had an excellent time and will definitely go back. Same resort, same hotel.

I would add that this hotel is not found in the usual brochures - I found it on the website Travel4less - well worth a visit.
