Hotel Santiburi Dusit Reviews

The hotel is wonderful. There are hotel rooms and individual one bedroom villas scattered throughout the grounds. The staff are the friendliest and most helpful we have ever met. The gardens are landscaped beautifully with ponds and fountains and lovely tropical flowers.

The swimming pool is more the size of a large lake with plenty of padded sunloungers and a pool towel service. The beach is fantastic. There are sunloungers on the beach and in the shade with hammocks to lie on as well.
The food is amazing!! There is an excellent Thai restaurant, beach restaurant and two more restaurants. Try to have a private barbeque cooked on your patio. An experience not to be missed.

The village of Mai Nam is fairly small with several ramshackle restaurants which though we did not eat in some of the other guests said they were good and cheap. The bars on the beach serve the cheapest cocktails we have ever had. Local shops have water, beer, wine, spirits and soft drinks to stock your mini bar with. Very cheap.

Hop on to the local bus-taxis to go to Chaewong worth visiting for bargain shopping (remember to barter) and the bars and restaurants.

Hotel is very expensive but not as dear as a comparible hotel in Europe.
