Poppies Reviews

We decided to try Poppies in Koh Samui for a change from Bangkok before going to Patong. Poppies is not a hotel but 24 cottages set in a tropical garden at the south end of Chaweng. The cottages are superb with bathrooms that have a `outside garden` and sunken bath. Newspaper,2 computers with internet,bottled water,fresh fruit,chocolate or cookie and a `Thought for the Day` is supplied free. Each cottage is reached by a winding path that takes you over a couple of small wooden bridges (water is stocked with coy carp) that lead to the swimming pool,restaurant and breakfast area which all look out to the sea. The next step takes you straight onto the golden beach which has plenty of sun loungers, towels and iced water supplied free of charge.

On our second night we recieved an invitation to `Barefoot at the Beech` which is free drinks and snacks on the beach, this is great for meeting other guests and making new friends. We will definately be back soon.
