Our first stop was Bangkok, and what a great place. People have mixed opinions about Bangkok, but if you love shopping, you'll soon forget about the smell and craziness of the place. Once you familarise yourself with the skytrain etc you'll get used to Bangkok quick. If you love shopping, I recommend the MBK Centre which is at National Stadium and Patpong market for your designer bags and everything else.
When arriving at Bangkok from London - you'll see limousine touts asking u if you would like a taxi, you should pay no more than 500baht if you're going into the heart of Bangkok - 500 is expensive so haggle from 350, really it should only cost 300 baht the most so keep that in mind!!!
Phulay Beach Resort, Krabi
We arrived at Phulay Beach on the 29th, and thankfully the resort was untouched from the Tsunami due to it being 45mins away from Railay Beach. This resort is away from everything which is really nice if you want pure relaxation. They drive you into Anthong to have a change of scenery and then pick you up at 10pm. You can get a taxi if you wish to stay out longer for around 400baht. We stayed in a jacuzzi villa and it was gorgeous, one of the best rooms i've ever stayed in.
The resort was lovely and the swimming pool the biggest i've ever seen.
Imperial Samui - Koh Samui
Due to people diverting from Phuket, Khao Lak and Krabi, Samui was packed. It was a big change from Phulay Beach and we really wanted to be back there.
Once we found our way around the place, we decided to hire a jeep for our week stay and i would highly recommend it - the jeep cost 4,000 baht for the week and it was great, visited different beaches round the island, you can get round the island in an hour, and climbed the waterfalls and what an experience, it was very tiring but well worth it. Especially Numang waterfall 2.
I recommend Zicos to eat at night, you have a coaster on your table, green when you're ready to eat and red for a break - when on green, you have meat etc brought to you and it's lovely and fresh. We had to book a table the night before due Samui being really busy so bear that in mind.
I could go on and on but won't bore you, so have a good holiday and I hope this info has helped!
